Best Wifi 6E as of 11-1-21
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy installation and at the time, the best wifi 6e router. Super fast, extended range and is a workhorse. There is a big difference from wifi 6 and 6e, if you're buying a new router, I recommend to future proof and spend a little more now. This is perfect if you have a large home and lots of devices.

Great Mesh System
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this purchase. I have this set up with a parent node in my upstairs office and a single child node located in the basement of a 4800 sqft home. My coverage is excellent throughout the house and stable. The child node in the basement is connected via ethernet hard line connection similar to an access point but works seamlessly as a mesh system with no need to manually switch between routers. My internet service is 500 Mbps and I get between 200-500 Mbps wifi speeds everywhere throughout the home. We have many smart home devices, multiple 4K streaming tv's, phones, ipads, etc... and everyone always has a strong stable connection. Additionally, this was a breeze to setup. I highly recommend to anyone who wants reliable wifi throughout a large home.

Expensive but future proof
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stable and very fast network with support of WiFi 6E. I have over 70 devices across 3 floors connected, it has better range and speed compared to my old Orbi system (RBR50 plus 4 satellites). WiFi 7 won’t come out until 2024 or later, and your next devices will have 6E compatibility/speed for years to come. Look for sales of $400 off in the future, full price is a little bit hard to swallow.

Super fast and great range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went from the Velop system with 4 nodes since their firmware screwed up that system and we decided it was a good time for an upgrade anyhow. This new system has amazing range and we were able to retain one of our velop nodes to get internet in an additional building. Speeds are great.

Great product.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy setup. I upgraded from an earlier version of the product. Very fast download speeds averaging from 1100 to 1350 mbs. The signal is strong and reliable throughout my home. Definitely worth the money.

Good, but not great.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good, but not great. About once a month, I find that I need to reboot the entire system as the wireless backhaul gets a little squirrely. (Though a monthly reboot is pretty SOP for most routers). The wireless backhaul is not great; in rooms not far from each other, I have the signal range from poor to average. (My apartment is about 1,300 sq ft, and these are supposed to support an area much larger than mine). Overall, they provide good performance, and I am glad I have it, just not blown away by the product (which for the price that I paid, I think I should be more "wowed")

Easy to set up... Still waiting
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I still don't know. Setup was easy. The system works well when connected everything is fine. However, my kids & wife keep telling me the service keeps going out. I reboot & everything starts to work. Trying to determine what to do next. I have both the tri-band router and this. I'm expecting for everything to work fine. I'm not seeing the 6G band available for any of my devices. I'm assuming it's not available for these devices. I'm researching this now. I love Linksys products. Easy to use & set up. I also wish I had FIOS to fully test how effective my setup is with the best service available.

Good System.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this mesh system set up for 2 weeks now. Set up was pretty straightforward and I did not have any issues setting up. This system is an upgrade from a Linksys system I have had for a little over 5 yrs, so an upgrade was due. Everything is working perfectly and I’m getting speeds in the 900’s (per the app, I have an 800 plan through Xfinity) I do recommend this product. If there are any complaints with the product it is that it is much taller then my prior Linksys system and the blue light is pretty bright, think of a night light

Rock solid stability and speed!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My setup is as follows: Charter Spectrum Ultra Internet 400mb/20mb Netgear CM1200 modem Linksys MX8500 Netgear switch Linksys MX5300 Modem>MX8500 parent node>Switch>MX5300 child node I have everything wired up. If you want to go that route if you have more nodes. Setup wirelessly first THEN go wired after. If you try to go wired first. Setup will fail and not work. Linksys thinks everyone will be going the wireless route I suppose during setup with 1+ nodes. I wanted to upgrade to WiFi 6e. So, I thought might was well continue using the MX5300 as well. With this setup. Speed, stability and coverage is crazy good. I have had no problems what so ever. Things just work and it’s like their not even around. That is a good thing! This router even alone beats the MX5300. And I had been using it since it first came out. If you are a power user. Linksys is not for you. It’s geared towards set and for get with minimal settings to play around with. That being said. It gets my full recommendation with no hesitation at all. Even at the price it stands atm as I write this review. Plus it has a 3 year factory warranty from Linksys. The build quality also feels very premium and looks nice. I just had someone over recently asking me what is that thing. When I said a router. They looked dumb founded since majority of routers look nothing like that. Gave me a chuckle!

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good mesh system. Easy to set up quickly. I only wish the units were a little smaller to easily hide and the price point a little better. Performance is great though and I am very happy with it.

You get what you pay for…
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve tried the Amplifi Aliens (3 units), Orbi and this. I’m coming from a 4 unit Nest/Google Wi-Fi system. All units are using a wired backhaul. SPEED: I get about 950/940 on my fiber connection. All were about the same, with the Nest in the high 800s. Wi-Fi speeds (tested 7 places inside and out) are the fastest out of all of them for pretty much all locations. For some, about a 6x increase in speed over the Nest. The Orbi came the closest. Aliens looked cool but just didn’t deliver. LOOKS: They’re not really all that easy to hide like the Nest and don’t look as good as the Alien. The Orbi units are just hideous. APP: It’s lacking a few things. Stumbled over something by accident. Overall is ok for a novice, but I doubt this is the intended audience. Most people spending $1,200 will need some advanced controls. Like being able to turn off the 40 mhz band. Or not having to jump back and forth between screens when trying to set a static IP and open up some ports. If I’m configuring a device and setting a static IP, it’s likely that I want to open up a port too. Let me do it in the same screen, not making me jump back a menu, go to a different one, jump down to a submenu, etc. And then you make more things available over the browser config page, but not in the app. At least be consistent. STABILITY: so far so good. Had it for about a week, and no issues. It’s handling about 70 devices with ease from what I can tell. PRICE: Not for everyone, and will probably be at the $1000 mark once more 6e units get released. Being among the first to market has its advantages. Buying an additional unit is silly stupid though. $500? I’d probably buy another one just not for that much… overall I consider the extra $200 over the Orbi to be warranted for getting newer technology, slightly better speed, and a sleeker looking unit. Overall, happy with the purchase. It has been an all around improvement over the Nest Wi-Fi. However, if you have the Orbi 6000 system, the differences are fairly insignificant given the price. If you’re upgrading from a Wi-Fi 5 unit, it makes a lot more sense and it’s a worthwhile upgrade.

Wifi 6E mesh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an IT by trade and this is the easiest router I've set up. I don't like to mess around with my home electronics to much because I'm drained from doing it at work all day. If you want something simple that works and works extremely well this is it. The new Wifi 6E standard is future proof for the next 5 years so this was a no brainer for me to pick up. Even at this price tag it is worth it to me because I work from home and need something fast and stable.

Wireless like hard wire Ethernet- absolute solid
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a monster of a router! I have connected one module WWAN to internet, one module WAN to my 2.5GBps LAN, and one module to TV streamer. Well, I am getting 1420gbps down for my 1200 gbps Gigabit speed from xfinity! Flawless, solid wireless network! I am yet to see 6E access point when the new devices arrives starting November of 2022.

Very fast, very easy, very expensive
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mesh set is EXTREMELY fast, but has a price tag that reflects this. The user interface is fantastic, and setup is easy - leveraging bluetooth and a mobile app that makes setting up your mesh painless. However, unless you need this kind of speed, and more importantly, have the devices to support it, there's far better value to be found elsewhere.

Excellent, but I wish it was better...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a beast of a mesh router. I have 2 gig Internet, and speed testing shows I get around 1850 Mbps download. Overall it's easy to setup. Just take the first unit out, attach to modem and run Linksys app to complete setup. Add subsequent units until you complete your mesh. Simple. My biggest gripe is that there's only a single 5000 Mbps input, while all other ethernet out ports are 1000Mbps. It would have been really nice to have at least one 2.5G or 5G ethernet out port as well. Obviously, the price here is prohibitive. Extremely expensive.

Speedy Performance, Great (Sale) Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because the signal from our Xfinity cable modem/router wasn't making it to more distant parts of the house. I figured if we were going to upgrade, we might as well future proof, even though we can't really take advantage of WiFi 6E quite yet. Not only do we get much better coverage, but speeds are great.

Streaming Woes Be Gone
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had my new mesh system for nearly a month and it has met all of my expectations operationally. My streaming services are now running without the annoying and incessant slowdowns/stoppages we had been experiencing, even after reducing our internet service speed from 1 GBps to 500 MBps. Found the downloaded setup instructions less than user friendly, but the phone support I got from Linksys was excellent ... both friendly and patient.
