    The computer in which I'm using this on is primarily used for downloads. It seems a bit sluggish when in comparison to a direct connect, but it does the job. When compared to running ethernet cables and destroying walls, it's a good solution. As I said, I'm using it for downloading, so everyday email checking or website visiting should be more than sufficient.

    I initially purchased this due to my ISP provider boosted my speeds to 50/10 and for some reason my built in wi-fi card in my HP could not handle the speeds. The Linksys USB device handled it with ease although it would occasionally lose connection. I do not believe this was a Linksys defect or issue though; because I tried two other devices with same result.

    Easy to install. Installed correct up-to-date drivers for this USB wireless device but it would constantly drop the wifi signal a couple times throughout the day. Was never reliable and used it for a total of two weeks before buying a 50 foot ethernet cable and just using a hardwire connection. Would not recommend this product as quite a few other reviewers on multiple websites complain of the same problem. FYI, desktop was approximately 25 feet away from router with no obstructions when testing this wireless device.

    I didn't feel like routing an ethernet cable through my plaster walls or floors, so I went out and bought this bad boy instead. This thing works great and I never had any latency/disconnect issues with it. It syncs up and connects to my wifi quickly when i log on.
