Purchased this for my in-laws for their new Fire HD tablet. Easy setup, good reception as their required range of wireless is not very big. The whole family was able to connect to it also with our smartphones and is providing good speed and reliability.

This is my second model of this router. I purchased it to connect in series with my first router in order to extend wifi to the rest of the house and connect with a piece of equipment with LAN that was installed at the opposite end of the house. It's got a strong signal. Easy to set up and reliable life expectancy. I've tried other routers besides Cisco, and by far this brand is the best!

Works very well. For the price I'm very impressed! Range works perfect for 1000sqft apartment. Have multiple devices (phones, tablets, printer, TVs) hooked up and works like a charm. I definitely recommend this product! I run 25mbps and it chugs along with the speeds.

My friend is always downloading stuff, and his router just died after 2.5 years. That seems like what he had been doing for the past 10 years -- one new router every two years. So instead of recommending a top of the line router, I did some research and suggested this one. It's cheap, easy to configure, and won't make you cry if it breaks in 2 years (unlike the last one he has to throw away).
I deduct half a star for not having the IP nor the default password printed on the back of the router, forcing me to use the CD to configure it.

Easy set up and installation. I haven't had any connectivity problems and I've had it for over a month. My Internet is a lot faster and with the security settings it has, i feel much safer being online.

I bought this for my 87 year old father in law. He doesn't need the latest technology (ac) and he didn't want a bunch of gaudy antennas visible either. This unit was perfect--it is hardly visible unlike most dual band ac routers. Easy to update the firmware and establish a decent password scheme. Wireless range is acceptable and Ethernet ports worked fine too. For the money, this is a great router.

First, my position: I'm a college student living alone in an open studio apartment. I've got a desktop, a laptop, and some game consoles that I wanted on the same wireless network. For my needs, this router is great and fairly cheap. The speeds that it gives me more or less match those I got over ethernet and setup was fairly painless (though the firmware froze up once when changing the router's SSID). Based on my experience, I would recommend it. I'm not sure how it holds up in places with more walls between it and the target device, but I haven't had any issue with interference from the myriad other routers in the building.

Overall a good performer.
The good:
Solid uptime - did not need to reboot it in the three weeks of ownership.
Solid performance - both wired & wireless .2% lower speed compared to wired directly to the modem. I'm sure the wireless drops with distance but I was getting coverage in the yard and garage that was better than the b31k1n router I was using.
Easy setup - software install setup was easy.
The bad:
No gigabit - no points lost
No 802.11ac - no points lost
In the end I only used it for three weeks. There are not a lot of my devices that use the ac standard but I prefer to upgrade my technology when replacing it.

This router will work for most people. The ISP offered me a 100mbps deal, and I took it. I was getting speeds of about 40mbps on all 5 devices. The signal coming out of the modem is 100mbps. Linksys told me to get the AC type of router for higher speed. Caution to laptop users. Most laptops only have 802.11n technology which is the N type of router. The AC router does help the cell phones reach 95mbps, but the laptops still run at 40mpbs.

This router works much better than the last one I had, which was a different brand. After a short while I couldn't connect anything other than my laptop to that router or steam movies very well.. The Linksys router was easy to install and works great. I am able to connect everything I wanted to it. My TV and wireless printer connected immediately and run perfectly. I am not a gamer except for Facebook games. I do stream movies and TV and it works great for that. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it.

This is the fourth router I've owned and this one is far superior.
All have been this brand but this one was so easy to install with no problems whatsoever; security is always a major factor and this was incredibly easy. Works like a charm even downstairs and all the way around to the MBR. Very Happy!!! With 4300 sq feet and I've not founnd any place I can't get my lap top to work from the upstairs study.

I am not a WiFi expert but I needed a second wireless access point for my home network which I could configure with a different DNS. I got this for $33.99 on price match. Unpacked it, plugged in, added network password and configured DNS all in 5 mins. Network strength seems okay, covering most of our house. If you need a cost effective wifi solution then I recommend. (Note: it appears to be designed to lay flat on it's back, I have it propped up behind a TV to save space.)

Easy setup; no problems at all. Good speed. Meets all of what I was looking for. Only disappointment is range is not real far -- I was hoping I could get good signal outside, but my phone picks up two of my neighbors Wi-Fi signals and not mine. May be because I have the router in the basement ceiling as that is where the line comes into the house.
