From and adult and neuro-spicy child

I bought this, as the previous 4-in-1 didn’t work with the lightning detector (which was the key component my neuro-spicy 12 year old was so focused on).
Like the 4-in-1 aspects of this weather machine are unacceptable (on this one, it is the cloud cover and visibility inputs - on the 4-in-1 it was the temperature which for an adult was unacceptable).
My twelve year old is upset that the weather machine measures rain totals, but doesn’t have a “it’s raining” notice.
The lightning detector doesn’t seem to have a consistent connection to the weather machine, but given the lack of electrical storms I’m not quite sure how to troubleshoot this.
Further, as an adult, I’m not impressed by the “Best Buy market place” sale and how the total care coverage doesn’t apply.
I’d certainly not buy this brand again.
