So overall I am really happy with the case. It comes I n2 parts, the main case that the iPad snaps into, and the detachable keyboard piece. I really like that the keyboard charges via the iPad directly. Using the connector where the Pencil would go, it magnetically attaches and gets its charge from there. The keys are great to type with. I REALLY like that the keys also are backlit. What a great addition. I also like the touchpad. As your mouse gets close to an icon it snaps to the icon and then the entire icon is enabled (highlighted). So when you click the touchpad, the icon for the app you want will be selected, no worrying that the mouse moved. The case snaps on the iPad very easily. And the back has the “stand” that you can adjust to a nearly flat position or keep it nearly upright. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that at first, I thought I would break the stand the first time I pressed it lower, but I found out quickly it is meant to do this and it very sturdy. You can really get the angle you want to view the tablet. The case does have some eight to it. You definitely feel like the iPad is protected. My one concern, and why I did not give it 5 stars, is the keyboard attachment. I do not always want the keyboard and I would like to flip it behind the iPad or our of the way. That is to an option. If you do or want to use the keyboard you have to remove it (it comes off super easy).... but then you have a keyboard laying around beside you or on the table and you have to remember to reattach it when you close the iPad or turn it off. As the keyboard is the screen protector for the device when not in use. I find having the keyboard detach is not ideal.... and then I have to figure out something to do with it.

Keyboard attaches easily and touchpad is very responsive. Detachable keyboard and stand makes iPad very slim and fun to use. Typing with this is excellent and the laptop likeness of it is very appealing. I highly recommend this case if you want to get more out of your iPad.

This is such an excellent product. My dad needed a tough case, but desired a keyboard. This met the need, but does it in a great design and with an excellent keyboard experience that includes a pretty nice trackpad. The Good: The back kickstand is extremely easy to use - staying stable and in place, yet still easy to adjust. I love that the keyboard just pulls right off and attaches magnetically, making for a quick and easy transition from laptop mode to tablet mode and back again. The keys are nice, clicky, and spacious enough to have a comfortable typing experience. I love that these provide backlighting for dark environments and also provide a function row. The trackpad feels nicely made, It is also handy that this comes with an area to store an Apple Pencil, should Dad ever choose to buy one. The Less Good: Though the trackpad is nice, I am not a huge fan of a diving board mechanism in a trackpad; this, however, is a small issue since we use tap to click anyway. The kickstand design makes for a great range of viewing angels, but also makes it more difficult to use in a lap and takes up much more room on a desk than a design that doesn’t use a kickstand - not a game changer for my dad, but it is definitely something worth considering, especially if this will be uses as a laptop on a small college desk. Overall, this does add a little bulk, but adds a good layer of protection, especially when coupled with a screen protector. It transitions easily between tablet and laptop modes. It provides a keyboard with function keys, backlighting, and a nice trackpad. There is a good range of viewing angels that should please just about anyone. The material feels well-made and durable. I definitely recommend this product. It is the perfect mix of function and protection for those who desire/need both.

This keyboard has been an absolute joy to use! The kickstand allows for decent angles, overall build quality is top notch, and feeling of track pad is great! The iPad will be protected for sure. Some of the gripes with this keyboard case and these are just minor nitpicks are i wish the track pad was a little bigger as well as a little bit slimmer. If i have to choose between slim and protective I would still choose protection so not a big deal to me. Overall a very good keyboard option making the iPad like a computer!

If you haven't rushed out and picked up a 10.2" iPad with all the sales Best Buy has been putting on them....drop what you're doing and do it. There isn't a better value in consumer electronics today. Did it? Good. Now that you have your new iPad you need a case, and better yet, you need a case with a keyboard and if that keyboard case has a trackpad you're set! This case checked all my boxes! professional looking protection without being bulky - check Means to hold my Apple Pencil without adding a thick rubber channel that adds width to the case - check Detachable keyboard so that I can carry around my iPad (still protected) and not have the extra bulk - check. Functional trackpad so that when I want to use my iPad more like a traditional laptop I can - check! It may seem like it's a lot of money to spend on a keyboard case when the iPad didn't cost a whole lot more - but trust me it's worth it! Don't settle for some junky bluetooth keyboard case that needs to be charged separately. Invest in this case by Logitech and you'll be happy for years to come!

if you have an older style iPad this case is a great way to really help turn it into a very basic entry level computer with a solid keyboard and trackpad and while adding some protection. it does though add some considerable bulk and weight to the iPad but its a great way to add some more functionality to the iPad a little bit pricey but if you can find it on sale its worth it

I have a 6 year old ASUS laptop which I use for work and still works fine, except for the 3-4 hour battery life when unplugged. I purchased my iPad realizing my laptop’s lifespan is on the shorter side now. I love the functionality and the ease of use of my iPad, but using to type out emails and texts (if I didn’t have my iPhone nearby) was cumbersome using the on-screen keyboard. Purchasing this case/keyboard combo was immediately a game changer. It vastly improved the overall functionality of my iPad, making it a pretty competent laptop substitute. Eventually, I know I’ll have to upgrade my laptop, but in the meantime, this Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Folio is delaying that expensive purchase.

I was excited when this came out because of the smart connector ability. Not having to worry about charging is a big win. The keyboard and trackpad work great. Top row of iPad function keys is a must. The 7th gen iPad (and 8th now) combined with this touchpad/keyboard case is great for anyone who loves the iPad but wants to have more productivity. I wanted easier typing and the ability to sit my iPad on the table and use a trackpad for quick selection or scrolling. The multi-gestures using the trackpad make for quick switching between apps. The pencil holder is simple but great. No more remembering where I left my iPad pencil. Lastly but very importantly is the case stand. I had always used the trifold iPad covers which worked fine on a table but that’s it. This thing sits at any angle you need, on any surface. I use it on my lap on the couch all the time. I prop it up on my stomach and chest in bed. It goes in the workshop with me and is easy to move from one location the next. Because the keyboard on this specific model is detachable, it can fit on very narrow surfaces. It is extremely stable. So all around I would definitely recommend the Combo Touch Keyboard for the 7th and 8th gen iPads. Great addition for anyone who loves the functionality of the iPad but wants to take it to the next level!

The ONLY choice for your Ipad! Period. Originally purchased Apple keyboard. Quickly returned and purchased Logitech. Logitech beats the Apple keyboard hands down every time and every way. Logitech is actually a very nice case with a built in keyboard (that also easily disconnects when you dont need it). A very convenient trackpad. Extremely useful function keys at the top. And ACTUAL protection for the ipad. ALL the things APPLE is missing with their keyboard. ALso, you might not realize it until you don't have it, but the included built in apple pencil holder is a MUST HAVE. If you have a pencil and don't have a case with a holder you will know exactly why that sucks and is needed. This is a no brainer purchase and worth the cost compaired to APPLE keyboards. That said, 150.00 is way to much for ANY case (even with a keyboard). But at least this one has every function, need and want you could think of built into it. Absolutely recommend.

The only thing that kept me from rating this a 5 star item was the price, lol. Personally i think $99 would be a bit more fair. However, after thinking about it several times i went ahead and bought it. Honestly, I’m glad that I did... it had all the features that I had wanted (detachable tablet, backlit keyboard, draws power from the tablet itself so having to charge the keyboard is not needed) As an added bonus,it seems to keep my hotspot connection from automatically disconnecting after a few minutes of idle time. No idea why...but I now have one less aggravation. As for the quality of the product, it seems to be first rate. Nice and solid feel, nice kickstand behind the tablet also. This makes your IPad very much like a small laptop with trackpad and all...which works very well also. Very simple setup, snapped the IPad into the back cover, set it on the keyboard, which secures it with strong magnets...turned it on, which then prompted me to download a very small program and I was all set to go. It is a bit heavier when all put together, but not unbearably so. So, as long as you can get by the price... I would highly recommend it. PS using it on your lap has been no problem for me.

I've just recently bought the first ipad I've ever owned as I try to delve deeper into the Apple ecosystem. Obviously with a new device, comes the everburning urge to buy every accessory available. Needless to say, I started buying up cases, keyboards and am about to buy the Apple pen... Regardless, I've been through a number of cheaper keyboards from Amazon, as well as maybe even a smart keyboard from Apple themselves... And I've found that this is the best one I've used so far. Trackpad is not cheaply made as is the trackpad in literally every other keyboard ive used with this ipad and the keyboard is backlit. Additionally, this keyboard doubles as a protective case. So all in all, hands down best keyboard I've used for my ipad and the dual purpose case is just a plus. Oh ya, did i mention it also works as a stand for viewing? And a really good one at that. If your're reading this, you've probably used smart phone or tablet "Stands" that collapse if you sneeze or falls over if someone bumps the table. NOT THIS ONE! I was genuinely impressed by how rigid the stand functioned with this keyboard/case.

I really liked this product. It was very easy to get started as you attached the keyboard and it asks you to install the app from Logitech. I had no issues with typing at all. The kickstand was great as well. Overall, it's a good product, especially if you don't have another laptop or device that you take with you. I think as a student, this is a great choice. However, I did return it because I think it's a bit too bulky. I got this product to help me avoid taking my laptop everywhere with me because it is a bit heavy. However, with the case on the iPad, it felt almost the same weight as my laptop. Also, the backlit keys were not as bright as I hoped it to be, but again, it wasn't a deal-breaker at all. It also took a bit of real-estate on the table and makes it harder to type comfortably on your lap or on smaller surfaces. But those are just nit-picky cons. I a huge fan of Logitech and their products, This one is great, but if you want a smaller footprint or slimmer set up, I suggest the Logitech Keys-to-go.

This item is exactly what I was looking for to use during a recent trip to Africa. I didn't want to carry my bigger, heavier laptop, but wanted the keyboard efficiency to make my iPad usable for email, etc. during my two weeks away. Now that I know how well it works, I'll be using my iPad much more frequently around and away from the house, and not just inter-continentally :-)

I am a fan of this keyboard folio. I did my research on this one and originally purchased the folio without the trackpad and returned it and bought the trackpad version from Logi because I didn’t want to spend money on a Magic Trackpad from Apple. This is a nice slim keyboard folio and fits snugly around the iPad 8th gen and look quite good. The keys are surprisingly colicky with decent travel for a keyboard this small. It has a function row which is awesome and the trackpad has gestures which is really really nice. Over just a great buy and I’d recommend to everyone who has an iPad 7th or 8th gen and wants a keyboard folio. Only thing is it has a lip around the outside of the keyboard itself. It doesn’t bother me but it might bug someone a bit more nit picky than myself. Good price for an included trackpad and connects via pins. BUY IT!

I now use my ipad to connect to work with this Keyboard and touchpad. It's a great cover and the stand makes it easy to work. When I want to just play games or watch videos i can just remove the keyboard and sit on the couch. If you add the Logitech M240 bluetooth mouse it is so much better to use for work. I don't carry my laptop anymore.

Spent a couple days researching which case I wanted for my new iPad 9th gen. Decided to go with this case and instantly knew I made the right choice! Rugged yet soft, keys are tactile and don’t feel cheap. The touch pad is awesome and handles any normal gestures you use on Apple products. All of the short-keys are a great addition. Can remove keyboard and just enjoy it as a case and stand. No need to charge it as it powers off of your device. Parents both immediately bought one after seeing mine!

This is a well built folio that protects and allows you to use your iPad with a keyboard. It props up well an has a handy belt for your stylus. The keyboard is very removable, perhaps too easily, but it allows you to enjoy your iPad and it be protected without the weight of the keyboard.
