Hard to balance but a decent boom arm. For those that need help with balancing there’s a screw on the bottom of the arm before you attach it to the desk, you unscrew it and then balance and screw back, THEN insert into desk mount.

I needed a stand that could hold the yeti in place. After buying cheaper version and being very very disappointed in them, I decided to bite the bullet and buy this stand. It has been exactly what I was hoping for. It is sturdy and will keep your Yeti up all the time.

I bought this on 8/1/22 and it broke today 9/25/22. I used it for streaming on twitch, youtube, and even for zoom meetings. Then today, I go to tighten it half a turn and it snapped back to an extended position, luckily I had my hand on the end of the arm otherwise it would have slammed into my wall with my blue yeti microphone attached to it. I tried putting it back together but it won't go. I am extremely disappointed. I regret not purchasing the warranty for this product, but I hope that this review helps somebody save some money and avoid purchasing this. It worked great while it did, but all good things come to an end. I think for $100.00 it would have lasted longer than 1 month and 24 days. I would not recommend this product to anybody else. Waste of $100. Now I will try a higher end microphone arm, but in the meantime I will use the stand that comes with the blue yeti microphone.

Good quality but you need a HEAVY mic. My blue mic is not heavy enough to keep my blue mic stand from flinging up.

Love this stand and the build quality/aesthetics, but I couldn't keep it in position because of the exessive tension. I tried turning the tension screw but even at its lowest setting it was too tense. Tried tightening the other parts to no avail. Really wish I could have gotten it to work.

Spring tension can only be loosened so much, causing the stand to retract away from the desired position.

I hate that this boom is so bad. It looks great but goodness is the engineering bad. Good on you for reading the negative reviews (which I didn't). I loosened the tension screw in the bottom until it was basically falling out (the least tension possible) and it still would not stay down with my microphone on it (Surprise, a Blue product, the Yeti X). Maybe only some of these Blue Compass boom arms have too strong of a tension, but apparently it's a gamble because I could not for the life of me get this thing to hold my mic in place. I tried all the tension dials at the intersections of the arms, nothing worked. Tightened everything all the way down and STILL could not hold the mic down. Not worth $100 unless you rock a really heavy mic setup that can fight the tension to stay in place.

Was able to install and setup with my microphone within 15 minutes. Note: this boom arm is calibrated for Yeti microphones, so if yours is different and weighs less or more, then you'll need to use a flat-head screwdriver to adjust the tension. Once that's done, it should work with minimal movement.

Omg soooo good! Absolutely loved it. Made streaming and gaming so easy and nice.

While the price is not bad, it was a true pain to adjust and sadly after following the instructions i still couldn't get it to set up right. Its way to stiff.

The boom arm is fine for use with blue yeti microphones, but if you have a light weight mic I wouldn’t suggest on getting this item. I recently purchased a Hyper X microphone to go with this arm. The Hyper X mic is too light for this arm. The spring within the arm is too strong and without a heavy enough mic, the arm will always raise back up to a more straight position.

The springs seem too strong to hold the mic in position well. Maybe use with a heavier microphone if you're only looking for this arm and not the intended mic it's for.

Great mic stand. The only challenge is the tube arm inside, You have to really tightened to keep the arm bent how you want it. Once you get it set though, it is a great arm, just have to get used to it. Still worth the purchase

Why don't other boom arms have built in cable management? This arm is simply awesome. I love the way it looks, the adjustments, and the cable management. Their mics are crap, but they make very solid mic arms. You won't regret getting the compass.

I HATE mic arms BUT this one works so GOOD! Its smooth dosnt fall down, dosnt make noise, hides the cable, its perfect

Quality of this arm is unmatched. Mic cable is hidden well and looks very clean. I don’t feel the Blue Yeti USB mic is the greatest option and I feel limited in where I can place the mic and how it’s positioned for my set up anyway.

good stand laster about 2 years but broke on me recently but for the money its quality

Great mic arm for my blue yeti. Very easy to mount and use. Was on sale but still a bit pricy in my opinion.
