Not only the does it light up, but there is a hard connection to the iPad. When I say this I mean most keyboard connect via Bluetooth and are laggy and trash. Although this one uses the hard connect feature that only the iPad pro has to offer. Trust me when I say this, use that feature.

Love the back-lit keyboard. Doesn’t hold iPad sec

They’ve since made a better version which securely fastens the iPad inside so it doesn’t slip out and fall on the ground and break the screen. Go with that one. The light-up keyboard feature is awesome. Even the official Apple version doesn’t offer this option.

Logitech Keyboard Case for iPad Pro 9.7"

It has a loop for storage of the Apple Pencil, which I bought as well. It has a hard, protective shell. I have used it for over two months now and am very happy with this one over others I considered. And it was lower cost.
