Spent days trying to get this remote setup. Online help refers you to same page over and over--not interactive-, and tells you to download the program every time, then close it, among with firewall, etc. Then Best Buy wants $100 to set it up. Ridiculous.

Terrible, I took it back after wasting hours trying to set it up. Set-up involved going on-line, creating an account (why??), and programming the thing. The web site is a disaster and setup is not worth the effort. Seemed like a good idea at first, but that idea didn't last long

Hate this product, bought it to get rid of all other controllers and yet have to still use them. The controller works differently all the time. One button for off but yet if its on a different program you have to use a different button for off. A big huge waste of money.

Paid to have it installed and hooked up to the cable box, Apple TV, sound system and DVD player. Worked for a few weeks and then just kept telling me to hit help or turn off assistant. Am asking for full refund on product and hook up.

If I had a chance I would return this remote. I don't like it at all. Maybe just my programming skills, but I cant get it to do what I want. I'm using my old LG remote held together with rubber bands instead.

I had recently bought a new Samsung soundbar and with the intention that it would sync with my Samsung tv. Well the HDMI ARC didnt work out so great and while the digital optical was nice, the dagger in the heart was the inability to get my TIME WARNER CABLE remote to control the soundbar. I scoured the internet looking for the "programming codes" to no avail. Some forums said TWC remotes do not even work with soundbars at all! I was getting ready to bring back the soundbar when my GF came across this universal remote. I was skeptical thinking that my beloved TWC remote was the holy grail.. I was wrong. This remote (for the price) packs a POWERFUL punch! The firmware is stable, the remote is programmed in 3 minutes with a computer, it was unbelievable. On the computer you enter the product ID's of the home theater equipment you want to pair.. Then the wizard asks you what systems you intend to use together. Apparently you can "Play games" as well and it will set you up to play Xbox One etc. All the important settings and buttons are there.. You can also choose what buttons you want available and what tiles to display. ( Like moving apps around on your iPhone).. Perfect product to get rid of all your other remotes!

Was recommended by salesperson. This is not that easy to use. Need to press help every 5-6 times. Does not program Bluetooth. When it shuts down then restart not all components are operational.
Would suggest looking for another option.

Not a big fan of Logitech products but had been interested in a universal remote that could consolidate the functions of my many other remotes.
Set up was easy from my desktop PC. I created an account at the Harmony website, selected my components, set up my "One Touch" commands and downloaded to the unit. Process took less than 30 minutes and it works great.
It handles ALL of the command functions of our Dish Network Hopper, Samsung Smart TV, BluRay player and sound bar plus an older Onkyo Home Theater receiver. This Harmony unit is limited to 5 devices but that's all I needed. What's REALLY great is the one button features that you can set up. With "Watch TV", it turns on my Dish Hopper and Samsung TV or I can select Watch TV #2 and include the sound bar. With "Watch a Movie" selection, it turns on the TV, BluRay and Onkyo surround sound receiver. When you are done, it also has one button to turn EVERYTHING off at once. I am still experimenting with other automated options but am extremely satisfied with these already.
Got this during special promotion for $39.95 and is worth that and more. So, if you are tired with fumbling around with a half dozen remotes, I can highly recommend this Logitech Harmony unit.

We had the older model until the keys stopped working. This new one is a nightmare to operate. The channels don't change easily; It takes repeated tries to get the 3 numbers to go on the screen; it doesn't scroll down at all

Bought this cause we got sick of having 3 remotes laying around all the time. We have a Samsung TV and Samsung Blu-Ray home theater along with DirecTv HD/DVR and Xbox 360. It is so nice to be able to grab one remote and hit "Watch a Movie" or "Watch TV" or "Play a Game" and everything changes to the right channels and turns stuff off or on when needed. Set up was a cinch and was done by just plugging the remote into the computer and downloading the driver and then clicking thru the stuff I had and which HDMI outputs/inputs everything was in. So simple to do, it took about 30 mins or so for the TV, HD/DVR, home theater, and Xbox 360.
The only bad thing I can say is the remote has a colored screen that turns on when the remote is moved and I'm guessing that is the culprit of the battery life. It eats thru batteries! We have rechargables so we just swap the set out and have no problems but if you don't have any, invest in them cause ours seem to need changing about every 3 weeks.
The other con but I deal with it cause its an easy fix is once in awhile while it cycles thru the home theater inputs it will stop at the wrong one and we have to change to the right one. It is, 95% of the time, the blu-ray input cause it searches and tries to boot up the disk as soon as the input seems to be paused on that input. They have an easy fix though cause you hit the help button at the top of the colored screen and it asks what the problem was like is this or that on/off, or on the right channel/input, and if you hit no it changes the problem like changes input or turns device on. Simple thing but I seem to have a bunch of problems with my Samsung stuff so I'm chalking it up to a fault with that equipment instead of the remote. 5 repairs to the Samsung stuff and counting in the last 2 1/2 yrs but that's for another review.

Best remote out there

Never thought a universal remote was necessary, but was so sick of having 4 remotes on my end table, I decided to try it...Took about an hour to get it running properly, but it does everything it says and more...
I no longer have to turn on each piece of equipment seperately...When I want to watch t.v., I just press the watch t.v. button and it turns on my cable box, sound system and t.v. automatically...If I switch to my Xbox, it'll turn off the cable box, turn on the Xbox and change t.v. from hdmi1 to hdmi2, all by pressing 1 button !!!
The software recognizes over 5,000 devices, so even older models are recognized...I had 1 piece of equipment that it didn't totally recognize, but it had me place my old remote 2 inches from this one, and after pressing 3 buttons on old remote, it picked it up just fine...
BUY THIS REMOTE!!! It will change the way you watch t.v.!!!

Don’t buy this remote. I gave it to a friend and it was hard to set up. Requires a computer and internet access. There are cheaper and easier and better alternatives to use

I have a remote extender because most of the AV components are not in a direct path. Harmony doesn't have a feature to incorporate remote extender. Designers didn't thought of this situation! That's why I call this junk.

After programming the Controller you have to make more inputs than if you use separate controllers which defeated the purpose of a universal remote. Still goes well with Wonton Soup though.

I had to have a geek squad member return to get this remote to work. Since then it has again become non-functional on a number of occasions, and then for no known reason begins to work again.

Wow!
This remote works much better than I expected. I no longer get calls from my wife when she's home alone trying to watch a movie. Seriously.
Our system has a TV, AV Rec., satellite Rec.,PS3 and a DVD/BluRay. I've got things hooked up for multiple view options. It gets complicated sometimes. I had made up some flow charts and other instruction sheets and yet, I still got phone calls while on the golf course.
The set up was pretty simple. You need some detailed info on how your entertainment system operates (component model #s, input settings). Once I had all that together it took me about 10 minutes to download the program from Logitec and set up the remote. It was easy to customise the functions to our needs. Worked first try.
The one button activity feature works great. What used to take flow charts, three remotes and ten minutes on the phone now can be done with one button.
I also purchased the PS3 adapter. If you have a PS3 and use it to watch movies, the adapter is a must when using a universal remote. The PS3 remote also went into the drawer.
Logitec really thought this thing out well.
Very Happy

This is a great replacement for the many accumulated remotes needed for today's home theater systems. Setting up the remote was a breeze. I had everything working properly in about 30 min. After months of use everything continues to work with out a problem. Battery life could be a little better but it does have a small LCD screen which does hurt it a bit but only a minor problem. I love this remote and you will not be disappointed.

My remote was very slow when I would turn on the TV. After the 1 yr warranty expired, remote won't work. I've tried new batteries & resetting with negative results.
