Logitech Signature M650 Left Mouse Despite being right-handed I choose to use my mouse left-handed (software engineer war story = right shoulder blade pinched nerve) I’d become accustomed to having to deal with awkward ergonomics, and disabling usage of the right mouse left side buttons. This Logitech M650 mouse finally alleviates that for me. Having relatively large hands most mice feel too small. I thought this one would actually be larger. It’s actually slightly smaller than the right-handed Alienware mouse that had fit the bill with great ergonomics but the wrong side buttons were an issue. Using this mouse feels very natural, the scroll wheel that adjusts between precision mode and quick scroll mode is a nice touch. If I had one suggestion, nit pick complaint, it would be to flash it up a little more like Alienware or other gaming mouse rotating colors. Pros + Comfort + SmartWheel toggle precision to quick scroll + Silent Click Silent Touch technology + Side button for shortcuts + OptionsPlus app to configure Cons -not as flashy as Alienware LED colors -had to search for included USB dongle (in body) Conclusion: recommended buy if you’re a large handed lefty mouse user.

Great mouse and feel in hand. I was a little nervous about the “large” size but in hindsight I now realize my prior mouse (Logi M525) was too small. Note that you cannot pair this with a Unifying receiver if you are trying to combine older Logi devices on one dongle - this uses the new Bolt receiver (or Bluetooth, I prefer using the receiver). For long-time Unifying receiver users I wish it was more clear in the description that they aren’t backwards compatible but I guess it’s my fault for making the assumption

GOOD -USB and Bluetooth connectivity -Smooth gliding over work surfaces -Internal storage compartment for USB dongle -Comes with AA battery -Main buttons are very quiet -Larger size is nice for bigger hands BAD -Main buttons feel mushy -No side or tilt scrolling -Left-handed version not available in smaller size or different colors The good news is the M650 continues Logitech's typically good mice. It's relatively comfortable to use. It has a nice, smooth glide over desk and mouse pad surfaces. And it can store the USB dongle inside the battery compartment when you need to travel with the mouse. Also nice, Logitech includes a AA battery with the mouse. Two new changes with the M650 are the new Bolt connector and quieter main buttons. The Bolt replaces the older Unifying USB dongles, and is supposed to offer better connections in busy wireless areas. Personally, I haven't experience wireless interference with mice or keyboards since the first-gen wireless mice 20 years ago. Perhaps the Bolt will make a difference to people with desks in a cubicle farm where everyone is using wireless keyboards and Bluetooth headsets. The switches for the main mouse buttons are indeed quieter than any mouse I can remember using. However, this also makes them lack most tactile feedback. They almost feel mushy. I've rarely been in places where so many mice are in use that noise is a problem ( again, maybe someone in a cubicle farm will appreciate it ) but if you're used to tactile and audible feedback when using your mouse, this is a big adjustment. Perhaps one you don't want to make. While this mouse certainly works better for left-handed users, I don't know I'd call it fully left-handed since it's not molded specifically for the left hand. It uses the same symmetrical shell as the normal M650 L, it just has the thumb buttons on the other side. Years ago Logitech ( and others ) offered ambidextrous mice that had thumb buttons on both sides of the mice. I'm surprised Logitech didn't just take that route again to simplify production. Doing it this way means using mostly separate production lines for the three different models ( RH small, RH large, and LH large ), which would appear limits options. Though the M650 is available in five different colors, not all models are available in all colors. The LH variant is only available in Large size and in black. So I guess LH people with smaller hands, or those that want a smaller travel mouse, are out of luck.

My partner is left-handed and even uses the mouse on the left of the computer. The Logitech M650L the L is for Large not Left is a mouse made for left-handed people. How? The side buttons are on the left, so as a lefty you can hit the buttons with your thumb. This may seem trivial, but for my partner who has been denied access to additional mice buttons forever, this was exciting. As for the rest of the design, the M650L is a bit on the large size, so my partner did wish they made this in the smaller size. I paired it via Bluetooth with a Macbook, but the bolt does have a USB dongle if you prefer to pair it that way. The dongle is the Logitech Bolt (not unifying) which is worth knowing. The scroll wheel has a rubber grip and noticeable traction as you scroll and mouse clicks are silent - two things my partner and I like about a mouse. FYI, the M650L is battery-powered and runs on a 1x Double-A battery. Overall, the M650L is a great mouse like all the mice Logitech make and they deserve praise for finally accomodating left handed-people. If it was a little smaller, it would be perfect. Would I recommend it to a friend? The answer to this is YES if the friend was left-handed :-)

It's exactly what it looks like, a left-handed mouse. Comfortable, solid connection, low latency input I like it. This is replacing an ambidextrous mouse because it was just never as comfortable as a proper left-handed model. It takes one AA battery, included, and that should last a really long time based on my experience with the mouse this is replacing (G305). It's got a nice precision wheel and the left and right clicks are nice as well, super silent too. nice bonus. Yeah it's good. If you're left-handed this is probably the one for you

As a south-paw with big hands, the idea of a left-handed mouse had a great appeal for me. The M650 does all the things a mouse should be able to do. The materials are comfortable to the touch, the design fits well in my big palms and everything is organized in a way that feels natural and comfortable. The battery comes pre-installed in the bottom of the mouse and is attached to a piece of plastic that needs to be removed before the battery will make contact. This also helps to educate the user on where the USB receiver is stored.. inside the mouse next to the battery. Logitech named the receiver the Logi Bolt. Cute. Within seconds of pulling the plastic tab to connect the battery my Windows 11 laptop was already prompting me to pair the mouse with the laptop via Bluetooth. While the default drivers from Microsoft work fine, if you plan to customize the buttons or add the app optimization features for apps like Microsoft Office you'll need to download the Login Options+ software which at the time of this review is currently in beta. In the time I spent poking around in the application I didn't run into any problems and everything was easy to configure and assign within the app. What makes me curious about the market segment is that Logitech makes 3 versions of this mouse: the "M650" is for normal sized right-handers, the "M650L" is for big sized-right-handers, and the "M650L LEFT" is for big sized-left-handers.Why no "M650 Left", which would have been a standard size mouse but in the Left position? Overall I think this is fine crafted mouse with plenty of customization options and for standard use cases it does everything most people need in a mouse.

This is my review of the Logitech SIGNATURE M650 Large Left-Hand Wireless Mouse in which I rate at 4 out of 5 stars. This left-hand wireless mouse has nice features of its SmartWheel that allows for fast scrolling on long documents and in my instance, Excel Spreadsheets. The Laser tracking of this mouse was crisp and accurate. I like that the Laser lens is not deeply recessed into the mouse chassis. Reason being, this allows in my instance, to easily remove any pet hair that may find its way on my mouse pad and onto the Laser lens. I don’t have the need to use tweezers to remove any pet hair and can simply blow it away. It connects to your computer via USB dongle or Bluetooth. The latter method is most appreciated for me as it frees up a USB port on my laptop. This mouse gets its left-handed “reference” not for its ergonomic design for a custom fit for left-handed users. This left-handed “reference” is only for the two customizable side buttons operated via ones left-thumb. I don’t use these side buttons as I am a keyboard short-cut user. So in essessence, by factoring out the two side buttons, this can be considered a universal mouse. For this reason, I removed one star from my rating. I am disappointed by Logitech’s left-handed design of this mouse as left-handed people are “left” out of many considerations in every day design. I hope future designs of left-handed mice by Logitech are ergonomically designed for a true glove-like fit.

    Good Left Handed Mouse

As I've come to expect from Logitech, this is a very nice mouse. It has a nice feel in the hand, and is comfortable in either the left or right hand, actually. It seems like it is symmetrical. The only thing that makes is a left-handed mouse, I believe, is that the 3rd and 4th buttons are on the right side of the mouse, instead of the left, as is usually with right-handed mice. This is a welcome addition for left-handers. My wife is left handed and she definitely appreciates any time companies make left-hand specific products. However, she would've preferred it to be less symmetrical and more contoured t the hand. However, as it is, she still found it comfortable. You can also flip how the buttons work, but you can do this with any mouse. She opted to just keep them the same, since she's adapted to a "right-handed world" as she puts it. She scroll wheel works nice and smooth, with subtle clicks while you scroll. I definitely prefer the clicks. I've used a scroll wheel that was completely smooth with no clicks and that just didn't feel right. This has just the right amount of feedback to be useful and comfortable. The button clicks have taken some getting used to. I have never used a mouse that had such silent and subtle clicks. While I prefer subtle for the scroll wheel, I think I need a little more feedback with he actual button clicks. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but for the few days I've been using it so far, it just feels a little too different than the mice I've been used to. Overall I am very satisfied with the mouse. The silent clicks will take some getting used to, but in every other way this is a stellar mouse, and a nice option for left-handers specifically.
