I purchased 2 of these systems. Give them atleast a good 4 hours of "break-in" varying the volume....then let em have it. The mids and highs a very accurate, and the subwoofer will raise the hair on your neck! For a moderately priced system YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG! Buy it!

    Incredible Sound Overall

I purchased this to compliment an HP computer. It beat the computer to my house, so I couldn't help but take it along for my roadtrip. Let me say, I plugged this in through my car's AC outlet, hooked up my iPod, and BOOM. The car has a factory Infiniti sound system that until now I thought was pretty good. At this point, I'm still afraid to turn the volume all the way up on the Logitech because I'm scared I'll bother someone miles away. Honestly, from a technical standpoint, these speakers are fantastic. The wired remote comes with a mini audio plug, but it also comes with an adapter that turns the mini audio into an RCA audio in. This works great because I can connect my PS3 to it. The only thing it's missing is a digital/optical in. My PC soundcard is a Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium with optical out, and I was really hoping to take advantage of the high performance on both ends without the need my Pioneer receiver. Sound quality is insane. The base is out of this world, but it still manages to stay crisp and within the range of the rest of the music. You'll hear parts of songs that you never knew existed. Overall, every different level of sound coming out of these is a compliment to the other ranges. The final product is just unbelievable quality. Another small point- The satellite speakers say "THX" on them. I like that, it's just a nice reminder to anyone who bought a Bose that they paid too much for poorer sound. You cannot go wrong with these speakers. If you're looking to add some power to your PC, or to spice up you video games or even your traditional TV viewing, the search stops here. These are without a doubt the most cost-efficient, high-quality speakers on the market. Go in the store and try them out side-by-side next to the "other" brands. There's no comparison. I only warn you not to turn them up past half way in-store, or else you'll get nasty looks from people in the parking lot.

    Power Packed For Gaming

Wow!!! That is just for starters. Recently my family installed a nice 5.1 wireless surround sound, and in another room, a standard 5.1 surround sound. I was jealous! So I went on a hunt for a sound system that was not only affordable but also the right size. This baby was it. Since I am a big gaming consumer, I wanted nice sound for my tv set up, but all of the small conventional systems that I had seen , just did not have the quality; that is where these come in. I use this system just for gaming. I am a big Sony fan and Nintendo as well. Being that this is a 2.1 that immitates a surround sound, you can get the same great sounding quality for all of your systems, new and old (since the classics were only made for 2.1, a 5.1 is semi distorted). Though there is no optical input for the tv or ps3, it does not matter, because it sounds so good that it is nearly impossible to tell it is not digital. The system is so powerful that I can get the base thumping so hard that my walls will rattle, not to mention that it fully enhances the feel of a loud explosion in games and movies. The Base is HUGE! The standard speakers are small but are very powerful and have a great range (they are not drowned out at all). Beyond a shadow of a doubt, if mine break, I am going to by another set. One last thing, it is THX certified!!! The label of THX is very hard to get for any system. Go look at your standard 5.1 systems in the store and I guarantee that you wont find hardly, if any that are THX certified. You normally have to pay a lot for the THX label. Just buy them, you will be pleased.

These speakers are terrific and they're also WALL SHAKERS!! in a good way. Neighbors might complain, but they'll get used to it. The BASS from the woofer is RIDICULOUS. I couldn't believe my eyes. I tested the spekers at around 10 o'clock at night and the BASS was AMAZING!! I higly recommend these Logitech speakers to anyone who wants to get a better sound system for their computer. I understand that they're only 2.1 sound speakers, but this don't mean they're not good. These speakers come for a good deal, w/ great sound.

    Great Bass

These are great computer speakers, especially for the price. The floor subwoofer puts out a good amount of bass that can definately shake the room. My only complaint is that the midtones are not very pronounced, so sometimes voices sound muffled. Other than that, these are great. I have them in my dorm room and they are by far the loudest speakers on my floor. You won't be disappointed if you buy them, and they are THX certified (only a small handful of computer speakers earn this seal of approval)

I am a musician. I need good speakers and good quality sound anytime i listen to music. I just moved into my dorm at college and the speakers on my laptop are terrible. There is no low end and the quality of the sound is terrible. These speakers are an amazing value for the price. Being a student, I dont have an expendable income. These speakers surpassed what i needed for a very affordable price. The sound quality is amazing with crisp clean highs, and deep meaty lows. Music, movies and anything else you do with audio on you computer will all come to life with these speakers. The speakers and sub can hit extremely high volumes and maintain the sound quality. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a great and affordable way to exponentially increase the sound quality of a computer or an ipod.

    Excellent system!

What an excellent sound system. The Logitech Z-2300 offers a LOT of "Bang for your buck". Being a 2.1 System, it doesn't take up a lot of room on a small desk like mine. Being small doesn't mean it doesn't have enough power to it though. With the MASSIVE subwoofer, it creates LOTS of bass... Being a fan of Heavy Metal, this is a must. The price is a bit high, but being one of the higher end systems on the market (I believe the most powerful system for under $200, in terms of sheer wattage). The size of the Subwoofer is both it's greatest asset and drawback however. It's quite large. It does put out enough power to shake my phone off of the top of it, however. Overall, I certainly recommend it to anyone with the budget and room for it.

These are the best speakers i have ever had. I use them for mostly music and tv and some gamming. Even on my onboad realtek ALC888S these babies kick. I like more bass then what a person would call normal and even with these i dont have to turn the bass knob past 3/4 the way without dissapointment. These things are about as loud as a $2000 bose surround sound system. If these ever break i will sure be getting them again and again.

Got these on sale and I'm quite impressed. I originally was gonna go with the Bose Companion 3 speakers but I got these seeing it was a lot cheaper. I'm quite pleased with my choice. THX certified, great bass, and unbelievably loud. Very easy to setup, the manual only needed two brief pages on how to set up everything. This set is with out a doubt a great purchase and I highly recommend these.

If you are looking for good sound for cheap then these are the speakers for you. When I bought these I was looking for a nice sound that didn't make a hole in my wallet and let me tell you boy was I happy I did. At first I was skeptical about these because I've heard about the bose systems and how they cost $400 so i figured if I didn't spend close to that I wouldn't be getting quality speakers. As soon as I plugged these in I way blown away by the clarity and the power of these. Nice subwoofer too. If you have money to blow go blow $400 on the bose but if you are like me who likes performance at a nice price then these speakers are for you.

    Absolutely Phenomenal!

I compared these to similarly sized systems, and NOTHING even comes close. These are THX certified speakers, so let that be a clue as to how they sound. The main desktop speakers each have a single 2" full range driver in a ported cab. Instead of a dust cap, there is a dome shaped reflector, to reflect sound away from the driver. The grills are removable. Don't let the small 2" drivers fool you...I was amazed at the amount of sound they produced. They sound as if they were four times their size. Its hard to imagine how they got this much sound out of these.... The woofer is a powered 8" sub in a ported cab, so the bass is forceful, but it is still tight and punchy while resonating clear bass tones. It is a 6th order tuned enclosure. There is a handy volume module that sits on the desktop with a large volume knob, a power button, and a smaller dial to turn the bass up or down (this mainly affects the woofer volume). I am somewhat of an audiophile, so I demand good sound quality from my audio systems. I have to say, this system is absolutely phenomenal. It sounds every bit as good, if not better, than any comparable sized Bose speakers I have heard, without the Bose price. Excellent sound quality, high volume, and outstanding definition at high volume. I have heard a lot of similar sized systems, but none even come close to the sound quality. At low volume, they do not really display their true potential; turn them up to about mid to high volume levels, and this is where these really begin to put other speaker systems to shame. This system is capable of high volume while maintaining excellent sound quality and dynamic response. At high volume, you can still hear every detail of instruments and warm, clear vocals, all without distortion. Of course, you can push them to distort, but they reach well beyond anything else out there. They maintain a consistent sound quality throughout the volume range. A lot of cheaper systems cut out bass and change the tone as the volume increases, but these do not exhibit anything of the sort; the sound is not colored or altered at all throughout the volume range. There is a seamless crossover point between the sub and the desktop speakers, so you will not hear either the sub or main speakers overpowering one another... they are perfectly matched. The sub produces tight, punchy bass kicks and warm tones and will rattle the windows while maintaining clarity and definition. Testing reveals the bass does drop off at about 35Hz, as the manual says, but it maintains good definition down to about that point. Not bad. Most music never dips down into that frequency range anyway. The only reason you would need response lower than this is if you were setting up a true home theater or if you are a bass head (I used to be one, multiple subs, amps, etc. so naturally I test all my woofers to establish their lower frequency limit.) I could go on and on, but the point is, these are simply amazing speakers. It is well suited for gamers. If you are looking for a small system for the living room, your bedroom, or office, or you demand good sound quality and like to turn it up, then these are the way to go. They will fill a full sized living room with great sound. You wont be disappointed.

These logitech computer speakers are good speakers to have for a computer setup. It comes with a pretty powerful subwoofer. The subwoofer is not nearly as good as home theater subwoofers but they are good for computers. I think the price of these speakers are a little expensive. They really do out perform other computer speakers. You basically get what you pay for. If you wanted sometihng more that will out perform these you always could get a powered sub and hook it up through your home theater, which would just blow these speakers away. It depends what you are working with. I was not very impressed with these speakers, but take in to consideration that i am used to listening to the klipsch synergy subwoofers. For computers speakers they can get the job done.

These are great speakers and well worth the money. I installed them easily and they plug in with a simple min 2.5mm jack into the computer or whatever device. I use them mainly for music. The bass is tight sounding and rattles my walls. The left and right speakers have a high quality sound. THey are THX and I expected alot for 170$ and they delivered. Very impressed by the quality. Also you can just hook this into an existing radio or MP3 or Ipod and play through the speakers. Also comes with an attachment to hook into a TV. GO get these speakers.

When I first tested the product out at Best Buy while choosing between these speakers and another Logitech speaker setup, I was a bit disappointed that these speakers did not have 5.1 setup. I was a little reluctant to purchase these however I was not disappointed after I hooked the speaker in and the sound quality made me have a grin on my face instantly. Easy control over sound volume, Bass, no treble but you can account for that in other ways. The bass punches and personally these are better than my current speaker setup for my car. Great buy!!

I recently purchased the zr2300 speakers to replace my stock Sony vaio speakers. I had a seperate JVC stereo hooked up as well since the vaio speakers couldn't dish out really any bass or when I turned them up the sound was distorted. After hooking them up I was instantly impressed. They perform exactly as I had hoped. They output enough power so I can hear them from anywhere in my apt. and also the sound stays crisp at high volumes as well as the bass not getting muddy. For the price (if you only want a 2.1 system) I don't think it can be beat.

100% The Best! There’s nothing out there in the market like this! The Logitech Z-2300 3-pieces Speaker System is the only of its class! I always needed (for over 20 years) just a simple 3-pieces system that I can use and carry around, and I have used a lot of the best for many years, but there’s nothing like this. Most important: Lot of power, 200 W. Real Power for just 3 speakers. Clear Sound from the 2 Speakers, and Super-Basses from the Subwoofer Thanks Logitech for the best of the best! 100% Recommended!

If you are willing to spend the money and get something really nice for a laptop or desktop that actually sounds good, this is perfect. It's 200 Watts at RMS makes this loud enough for everyone on my dorm floor to hear and it is completely clean, zero sound distortion also. It hits the low bass punches in any hip hop or rap song and with the bass control you can determine how much or how little bass you want; if you are looking for something professional, small, and has great sound quality, this is it, 100%!
