Hello, I decided to write a good review of this product, I purchased this set because my neighbor told me that two people had been casing my garage and attempting to pick the lock. Install: Installing this set is a breeze, I did not use the hardware included, I just used some coarse thread 1 3/4 inch dry wall screws. Wood screws will work just as well holding it in place. Each camera has a power cable that must be run to a wall outlet. Be sure to tape the connection between camera and power cable with electrical tape so it does not come loose. Monitor: The monitor provides excellent feed and the battery lasts roughly 4 and a half hours for me with continuous feed on the monitor. It is very simple to use, anyone who can use a smart phone can use it. The monitor stores video on a micro sd that can be easily removed for easy file transfer. The shell is made out of plastic, the screen is acrylic or Plexiglas equivalent. It may break if dropped, have a safe place to display the monitor with its stand to prevent unwanted damage. Video Quality: Quality is good, picture is sharp and seems to provide at least 15 fps, it is not choppy by any means and shows movements smoothly on camera. Night vision works excellent but must not have to much ambient light or the picture will not look good. Outdoor applications may differ based on the lighting for each user and each camera location. Longevity: I can not speak to the test to time as it is not quite old enough to review this. I have an indoor set up, it should last longer as it is not exposed to weather, heat, or extreme cold. Issues: Motion detection is very sensitive, even when setting are at the lowest. It has four modes: off, low, medium and high. I use low setting and have adjusted the area the camera looks for motion heavily so it does not give false recordings. If you are willing to make adjustments and set the system up correctly it will perform well. People looking to "plug and play" will be disappointed. Overall: Time for install, setup, adjustments: 1 1/2 hours is about how long it took me to get things just the way I wanted them.

Easy set up and works well. Nice features to eliminate false recordings. Easy to play back and delete of past recordings. Allows for over writing so endless recordings

Reasonably priced first camera for day time viewing. Not the best for nighttime and distance viewing.

The cameras are good quality. I keep having to reset the monitor/recorder every month as it looses the picture. I wish I could of held out for a bigger system and remote capabilities but I have to say all the problems with the neighbors that was going on at my house stopped after I installed these cameras. No more trash in yard, car dings, kids playing on my children's backyard toys and swing set, etc. while we are away to summer camp and work.

I have now purchased two sets of this camera thinking the first was maybe a lemon but both sets have had the loss of one camera within 8 months of purchase. Calling Lorex doesn't work. While they work, there are pretty good as far as video clarity but audio could be better. The first set worked quite well for about six months then one camera quit working. A couple of months later, video still works but audio is out. The second set has one camera that the audio works intermittently. Replaced with Drop Cams. They are, so far, more dependable.

These were purchased to monitor traffic in a certain area. Application is limited due to wi-fi connectivity in area but more than adequate to do the job. Install was simple and now have eyes on the goods.

This system works for keeping an eye on a limited area. Desire a wider angle, but the resolution is clear compared to other cameras I've used.

This was purchased just for monitoring a tool shed and it does do it's job. Good clear picture for being outdoor. It was fairly easy to setup. It was a good all-in-one package for a small area.

I bought this set because I didn't think they were that expensive and we needed cameras set up at home right away... They're ok kinda difficult setting but they still worked for what I need them... Well they only worked for about 2 months... I'm currently working on a warranty... When I get the new set lets see how long those last...

Cameras were easy to set up. I like the fact there are so many ways to capture video or pic and you can set them up to record motion activated or not. Great night vision.

All of my experience with this company and product have been very good. Placed a call with a small problem we had they responded in a very positive way and solved the setup problem with the readout device..

not good at night,can't view anything beyond a lighted area

I bought these cameras to catch whomever has been throwing trash in our yard. The low price point with the wifi capability and the motion sensing activation seemed like the ideal solution. Unfortunately, it only occasionally activates when there is motion. In fact, it rarely even when I leave and arrive home in my car or walk across the yard. I have tried to work with this product for almost a year and have been extremely disappointed. I wish that I could get my money back and invest in a doorbell camera instead.

I purchased this item so the caregiver can see my if my father in law tries to get up when she is in her bedroom. The image quality is good. The range is good. The monitors is upstairs and the camera is down stairs. The caregiver sometimes presses the wrong button on the handheld monitor and I have to get the correct image back up for her but otherwise seems to work fine.

Overall it does the job. Not hard to set up and get going. I had an issue with the monitor, but I purchased the Best Buy warranty. So I took just the monitor to Best Buy, and they replaced it on the spot!!! And renew the warranty on the monitor AND the cameras, which were still installed at the house! Best Buy warranties are worth it!!! Good product!

This system works good for a lower budget camera setup. It functions well in both day or night. My only complaint is the video quality is fairly low and when using night vision it is very choppy. Easy install and good build quality

Works jjust as it says, good picture quality. Only can view on provided tablet though
