This is a movie that doesn't get recognized enough, Great Bill Murray and Scarlet Johansson acting. I think a lot of us can relate to this movie but never choose to open up about this topic

This is a timeless classic from Sofia. The relationship between and ScarJo's and Murray's characters looks and feels incredibly real and true to life. The Japan setting and its capture on film is mesmerizing. The ending of the film was cinema perfection. BluRay quality works great on this movie.

This is one of my favorite films of all time. The sadness in the characters meshes perfectly with the feeling of isolation you get from the Tokyo setting. The Blu Ray is beautiful, too. Absolutely one of the finest examples of the format.

This is a great follow up film to Coppola's The Virgin Suicides. As in TVS, Coppola continues the theme of isolation from society, but sets the story in Japan. This time, Bob and Charlotte are confined to their Tokyo hotel and go through a question of their purpose in life. Bob is not getting any younger and he hasn't yet found himself. Charlotte is young and confused...she doesn't know what she wants, but begins to find out as she and Bob begin their adventure.
This film is a great addition to Coppola's growing body of work and proves that this young director can deliver a funny and intelligent film while never veering off course. It cements her as a serious director and exhibits the control she has over her actors. This is not a movie to miss and I highly recommend it.

This is one of those movies you'll either love or hate, and you definitely have to be in the right mood for it. Most moviegoers will find themselves incredibly bored and disappointedly say "nothing happened." But if you're the kind of person who loves mood pieces and wonderfully crafted films, then you'll definitely enjoy Lost in Translation. This movie is about 2 lonely and isolated people who end up finding each other and forming a strong bond (some might say love). Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson give amazing performances as the two characters, Bob and Charlotte. They were able to portray the sadness of each character quite effectively. I also have to give kudos to Sofia Coppola, the writer/director, for telling such a moving piece and the cinematographer for his use of backgrounds and unique shots to enhance the film.

A Beautifully shot, real life story

Sofia Coppola presents one of her best films here. It's an interesting piece that can be compared to another film that she made after it called Somewhere. Although, I prefer this film to Somewhere. Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson give excellent performances in this story of a washed up actor who is shooting a commercial in Japan and the wife of a photographer who is also in Japan. They end up meeting and despite their age differences, fall for each other and both basically bond over the fact that they're having midlife crisis' at completely different points in their lives.

A great movie about real life and relationships. Bill Murray plays an excellent role of an aging actor and Scarlett lights up the screen with her perfect smile. For anyone that likes Wes Anderson movies and the like, this is right up your alley. Feel free to reflect on your own life experiences as this movie ends and consider it another lesson.

The most emotional film I've ever seen. This film simply brings about the entire array of human emotions one can feel and amplifies them. A triumphant rumination of the human condition rendered in a universal language.
