It just works. Dimming is responsive. In the hue app, you can pick if you want to turn the lights on at the last state, or always to full brightness. Technically, since it only attaches itself to the lever, a user could still push the lever to the down (off) position and move the whole assembly, if they knew how this product operated. Not too big of a deal though.

This has been a great addition to our smart home. I is really nice having a physical device to turn lights on/off in addition to apps and voice. Plus now the switch does not get turned off accidentally. I did have a brief problem where my switch did not work due the a failed update on my hue bridge. Once the update finished everything was back to normal.

I purchased this to solve a wall light switch issue for a series of Hue bulbs. It looks like a standard dimmer switch which was a bonus. Setup was not as easy as it should have been because it came with a dead battery. Fortunately it is common sized button battery. With a fresh battery in place it connected quickly and controls the lights as planned. Would have been a 5 star review, but one star was dinged for not including a working battery. I plan to get more to solve another wall switch/hue light bulb issue. Hopefully the dead battery was not the norm.

I cannot believe I went this long not knowing that these existed. I was always getting upset all the time with my children because they kept turning off the lights and I could never control my bulbs with Alexa because the power was shut off. The great thing about these is that they look just as good as they work!

This switch is a great addition to my Phillips Hue lights. It’s great for when I have company over and they need to turn on the lights they do not know how to tune on the lights with Alexa. Also good to have when you loose internet services. They are also programmable. You can change the setting of the lights by pushing the button.

My wife just kept turning the switches off on out smart bulb...making them really dumb bulbs. This fixed that problem and added a handy dimmer feature that we just love. This is great for the person that wants a smart house but the spouse that doesn't.

What a great way to control your Hue bulbs from a preexisting standard switch. Ive been using 5 of these through out my home for nearly two years with out any issues.

Make sure you have a phillips screwdriver for small screws. Thats the only tool you need. This is a much easier solution than smart light switches. You just put this over the top of a normal switch. I love it being able to use my voice (with Alexa and the Phillips Hue bulbs) to turn on/off lights. Fantastic and worth the price.

My biggest issue with hue lights are that if someone turns the switch off, there’s no way to control the lights. Well this is the perfect solution to that. It locks your light switch into the on position so you can always control it with the app or voice assistant. Once the switch is paired with your hub and assigned to a group of lights, you can turn it to control the dimming, and press the middle to turn it on or off. My only qualm is the price. I think it’s a bit high. I could use a few more, but the price is stopping me from getting more than I need.

If you have Philips Hue bulbs and don't want to always mess with the app, this is a great addition to your setup. It installs in minutes with nothing more than a screwdriver to remove the switch cover. Then connect it to your system, and you've instantly got an on-off switch and dimmer!

I recently upgraded a goggle light switch in my bedroom. It was so easy to attach this device to my old light switch, and now I have a fully functional dimmer switch.

The Lutron Aurora is an innovative solution to a niche point of pain in the smart-lighting ecosystem. Case in particular: my bedroom. My room has a single light switch (hardwired) which controls an electrical outlet underneath my desk. Plugged into this outlet is a floor lamp... as well as a power strip containing a handful of expensive electronics, one of which being my computer. So, you can imagine the multiple "heart attacks" I've suffered over the years - inadvertently cutting power to (and possibly damaging) my precious electronics - when all I wanted to do was turn off the light!!! This is where Lutron saves the day. By keeping the light switch forced in the upright "on" position, I can rest easy knowing that my electronics will always have a constant flow of electricity. (Of course, I also needed to purchase a Phillips Hue smart lightbulb - a small price to pay for such great relief!)

Lutron makes amazing products. This installs exactly as shown, covering up a wall switch and letting me have a dimmer with a smart bulb without doing any wiring!

This thing solves my issue of having the hue switches next to the light switches. I love how natural these switches look. They look like factory dimmer switches when installed on white faceplates. The response time is instant and as long as the battery life is good, then I have no complaints.

Super easy to install and setup. It’s great to have a physical control for non-app users and general ease of use. This is handy in that it also stops the light switch from being turned off, which would render the wireless control of smart lights inoperable.

This is a great alternative to changing your light switch to a smart switch. After buying Philips hue bulbs and being frustrated that other people in the house would turn off the light switch, this is a great solution!

I love these for controlling my Hue lights. They hide the existing toggle switch or can be put anywhere. I like having physical buttons/switches to control my smart lights so I am not tied to my phone or voice commands.

If you own Philips Hue lights then these are a must! My wife kept turning the switch off which made the lights not work via voice command. This prevents that while giving her still a physical switch to use.

If you have Phillips Hue smart lights in your home, this is the best button to add to your home. It does what it says. It works every time. Great switch for the Phillips Hue ecosystem. Highly recommended!

Such a breeze to install, just goes right over the switch and clamps down with the included screw. Connected right to my setup, and have it controlling the living room. Makes it easy for people who don’t understand smart lights, and not having to yell at Alexa at times.
