    As is often the case, the original film was significantly better than this sequel. This one feels like an awkward and poorly executed blend of Terminator, Ex Machina, and even Spy Kids, without capturing what made any of those movies work. The tone is inconsistent, the ideas feel recycled, and the overall execution falls flat. Unless you’re a devoted fan of robot-focused movies and willing to overlook its flaws, this film is probably not worth your time.
