I'd heard a lot about Mad Max over the years and had caught bits and pieces on TV, but had never seen it all the way through. Definitely a film from a bygone era, but great action scenes that are done for real. Don't see that much today. Great film!

Still cool after all these years. If you haven't watched it in a while, do it now. It holds up and is a great Saturday afternoon movie. Then go watch the new one, you won't be disappointed. A reboot that works, wow, never thought I'd say that.

This is a must have. We bought this because my wife has never seen any of the Mad Max movies. I understand that the new movie is meant to continue the storyline rather than a reboot, so we had to see them all. Very good packaging and quality.

I saw mad max fury road the in theater and loved it. Never saw the earlier mad max movies so I had to get them. Liked the red cover of the particular copy. Movie overall is good. High recommend it. If you like fury road you'll like this

Mad Max is a simple but exciting story. The action is top notch, and is the reason we got The Road Warrior, and even better movie and sequel to this. As for this blu-ray, picture quality is good and sound is great. Highly recommended.

This film is a cult classic and while I knew what to expect of the movie, the special edition packaging was the real treat in this version. Each comes with a unique set of original production photos that provide a really cool touch. Any collector would want this in their arsenal.

This is a movie that came out when I was young. Wow how times have changed. If you're a fan of the spaghetti western car action and drama Mad Max is a movie you need to see. The tin case is a great addition to any movie library.

Great movie great picture and sound love the 4k transfer definitely a great pick up will be looking forward for the rest of the films to come to 4k

Great transfer. Laughed at the idea of a 'US English' dub. Watched the original sound track, it isn't like their accents are THAT heavy. Great movie

An original classic. This one started it all. A movie that came out of nowhere and became a cult favorite in the late 70's. Fine 4k transfer. Own it.

I thought this was going to be an introspective movie about an angry man named Max. Instead it was a post apocalyptic adrenaline fueled Australian nightmare. ****SPOILERS FOLLOW**** Max is not mad at all at first and sure he gets angry after his wife and child are run down by crazy gang members, but the real twist is that he goes crazy because of that. He goes mad. What the heck was Max doing taking a vacation in a post apocalyptic Australia, anyway? I mean non-post apocalyptic Australia is dangerous enough, with saltwater crocodiles and poisonous spiders and poisonous snakes and poisonous saltwater snails and poisonous jellyfish but throw in post apocalyptic gang members and maybe you should just have taken a staycation, eh Max?

This is a great movie and Mel Gibson is perfectly cast but I expected from the title that Max would be mad. Max is many things in this movie but Mad is not one of them. Leave it to Hollyweird to give this movie this title.

Mad Max is a great movie although it's definitely not for everyone. As for the disc, the presentation is solid but it doesn't rival the technical achievements of newer discs or even some more delicate transfers of older movies. Still though, a solid disc for Mad Max fans.

Mad Max, Road Warrior, and Beyond Thunderdome are classics that everyone should own. These are great Australian classics that made Mel Gibson. Maybe not so much Beyond Thunderdome, but hey, don't break up the Trilogy!

Classic action movie restored ! The picture is beautiful even though kinda a low budget movie. I hope the release The Road Warrior 4K soon.

I'm so glad they came out with the Collector's Edition of this movie! The case has a reversible cover so you can choose between the new version or the classic movie poster version. Great special features on this disc.

Nice upgrade to 4K but I thought that the film had a more darker tone than a brighter tone especially during the scenery shots of the film.

Love this movie. Would have gave it 5 stars if there was a digital copy of the movie. Love this series and no better way to rewatch it with this great upgrade. Thanks so much!
