I got the device to be a hands free calling device with the bonus of a GPS. Works great most of the time but has trouble sometimes ending a call. Great features for the GPS though, lifetime traffic and maps, red light cameras and speed camera warning. Still worth the price.

This new smart GPS has more to it than you think it would. The older models you could only set your speed warnings in 5 mile an hour increments and this one is in 1 mile an hour increments. You have a split screen or full map screen. Traffic warnings and reroutes are very helpful. My route options are easy to use. I have owned 4 different GPS's and this is by far the best.

Updated a 7 year old GPS for a road trip this past July. GPS was easy to set up and use. It found all of the stops we searched for. It was accurate. I think the best part were the alerts it gave us. Whether it was traffic, red light, or speed cameras I don't think it missed much. It ties in with my Iphone so sitting in Hotel room deciding on dinner we could search on phone and we would be ready when we got to car. My wife calls it her lady and is happy. She is happy- I am happy.

So far, I have used this device to navigate around town and on interstate trips, to find resources such as car washes, and to save trip destinations. I have not yet played around with the bluetooth connectivity. So far, it has done everything I need it to; my only complaints are that the menus are a bit counterintuitive at first, which wouldn't be a problem except that the included start-up guide is, um, minimal, and the full manual only available as a pdf download. Which is a pain. But once you've worked out what goes where, you should have no further difficulty.

I've only used mine a few times so far, so it's getting easier, however, the first time I used it I ran into a couple of snags. Nothing big, but not knowing how to change or cancel a route while your already away from home can be a bit overwhelming.
Lots of features, decent price, good quality, can't go wrong with Magellan.

I've owned many GPS units over the years and I must say I have never been completely satisfied with the other units. However this unit has great features and most importantly is very accurate. On some of my previous gps units I've seen where you'll approach a street but the gps onscreen map lags behind showing you've actually reached the street. This makes for several missed streets/turns as a result. This Magellan does not suffer from this phenomenon. Also I like being able to manage my destinations through the web interface on a Pc and then sync the info to the Magellan. The built in Bluetooth is also handy for phone calls or piping the audio from the gps into your vehicles sound system. All in all I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

I bought this product as I quit using smartphones for different reasons. I was looking for an advanced GPS that has more Internet based points of interest(POI). I have been using this for more than a month in new city (we moved to Charlotte). I love this product so far. I visited Atlanta last week and found this product very helpful. I particularly liked the very responsive touch screen. The points of interest come up nicely with phone numbers, reviews etc. I haven't figured out few things yet like my current location/city/co-ordinates which I rarely use. But it's an excellent product for the road and money.

Good sturdy construction. Unit even provides information on traffic cameras, The unit always took me to the desired location. AT times I found myself disagreeing with the route provided.

The large display screen is one of the best features because I sometimes miss hearing the directions. If I miss a turn or exit, the re-routing is easy to follow. I like the ability to choose between highway or street routes. The Traffic Alerts, Traffic Camera Alerts, and Fuel Prices have been very helpful. I used to get lost frequently on my driving "adventures" with no particular place to go, but now I can easily get home again. Very comforting !!!

I've been pleased with this GPS. I rely on GPS everyday for state to state travel to customers. I love the lifetime maps. I think I use the active content less than I imagined I would, but still a fair amount. It gives you gas prices as you get near an exit. The red light camera alert was a surprise in Chicago. I drove through that light a hundred times and never knew there was a camera there that would snap your picture if you ran through late!

I had problems with this from the beginning. The first one I bought the maps could not be authenticated. I called Magellan and they told me it needed to be replaced. I got it replaced at best buy and I had the same problem. Somehow I was able to fix it, after the first use it told me there was not enough storage and it could not be used. I called Magellan again and they told me there was nothing they could do. I do not recommend this product because of the problems and Magellan customer service.
