This movie shows how the life of Malcolm X changed over time, and while many can't overcome some things he said early on, I believe the most important aspect of this movie is that Malcolm X had a profound experience when traveling abroad, that changed his life, and changed his view, and he was committed to speaking the truth, and strong enough to admit his views had changed, so he stood up and owned that in front of the world. That's honor.

In case you didn’t know, Oscar-Award winners Denzel Washington portrayed Malcom Little A.K.A. Malcom X in plays prior to this nominated role. This is a 2+ hour look at the life of Malcom X from Omaha, NE childhood th his self-foreseen death in 1965. A very, very good film after its release 25 years ago.

I didn’t know much about Malcolm X prior to this movie. Denzel Washington delivered an Oscar performance betraying both sides of the man. He allowed others to give false information to him, and upon seeing the truth made him dangerous enough for the Nation of Islam asassinate him! Five stars aren’t enough to rate this.

I thought this movie was great. It had one of my favorite actors in it. Any movie that Denzel Washington play in is a good movie because he's a good actor. This movie was pretty close to the book of Malcolm X.

Malcolm X is a fantastic movie. I think this is one of Spike Lee's best. The blu ray is great too with a few special features that are enlightening on the film, particularly the documentary By Any Means Necessary: The Making of Malcolm X.

I read his autobiography and was captivated by the mystique of the man. Eloquent and erudite he was truly a product of his environment. The world is a less interesting place without him. Denzel gave an oscar worthy performance in this movie.

I saw this movie in the bargain bin at my local BB and couldn't pass it up. This is Denzel Washington at his finest and is a must watching for the acting and subject matter alone. This one's a bonafide classic!

Spike Lee is one of the best working directors today and this film is one of his best, alongside Do the Right Thing

Denzel should have won an Oscar for this performance. Watching this on blu ray seems as if it was filmed today!

Spike Lees most prolific film to date. Starring Denzil Washington as the iconic civil rights leader. Should have won best picture back in the day.

Acting is top flight in this movie. Denzel is the best in the world when the cameras start rolling.
