When extended legs are used, it holds the camera more steadily and yet gives you the ability to move and re-position the camera easily. Spikes for the legs are included. When collapsed, I keep it as a sort of pistol handle under the camera to make my camera more steady when the lens is extended out. The cushioning at the top makes it so easy to throw over my shoulder and carry the camera around. Sturdy construction yet lightweight. I am 72 and only 5"3". Highly recommend this product.

So study and easy to use. Definitely makes me feel it can handle my camera with all its gimmicks. Use this when you're trying to stay steady without the confinements tripods place you in.

I own several tripods and wanted a monopod to steady my camera shots. It is easy to set up and get in place. I did purchase a ball head to place on top of this for added versatility. I am constantly impressed with Manfroto quality. This is also lightweight and easily fits on the side of my camera backpack.

This is a very sturdy monopod. I looked at several in store and opted for the Manfrotto. When extended it feels very sturdy, you could almost use it for a walking stick. It collapses down to a short enough lenght to be very packable and unobtrusive.

This monopod works quite well seems to be well built; however, the smallest extension is difficult to stay tight. For its cost it is fine.

Before finding this monopod I went through so many different designs. None of them compare to the quality, durability and ease of use of this one. Highly recommend.

I did not realize how convenient a monopod could be. I keep it collapsed with my camera attached mostly. When I need that extra stability I can extend it in 2 seconds. A tripod is much bulkier and heavier than this is. I still use my tripod for when I need the absolute steadiness only a tripod can provide. For casual use this cannot be beat. Also, this monopod is very well made and high quantity. I highly recommend this!!

I wanted a light weight monopod to help stabilize my Canon 5dmiv and 100-400mm lens on walks. This fit the need that I had. Light weight and adjustable height makes a very nice combination while walking and hiking looking for that perfect shot.

I have the Manfrotto tripod and this adds to my collection of Manfrotto photography equipment. I bought this to replace my old Manfrotto Monopod. I've only used Manfrotto tri/monopods and would not use anything else.

I was looking to replace an old monopod which I had broken (as a result of my stupidity). I did a lot or research and had a lot of demands for the price I was willing to pay. This monopod fit all of my requirements well within the price I was willing to pay. I regularly place a Nikon D800 on it with a Nikon 200 - 500 MM lens. Without a doubt that is a relatively heavy load for most monopods in this price range. This Manfroto monopod has handled the load several times now with no issues. I flexes very little with that load and provides the mobility and support I was looking for.

Verey happy with this purchase. Very light, but still very stable. Will be taking this on a upcoming trip to photograph bears and orca in Canada. Will be perfect lightweight support when we’re hiking through the woods and shooting from kayaks.

Easy to Use no fuss monopod. i used this with a Zhiyun V2 Gimbal and a Sony A6500. It was mainly used as a crane style jib. I can say its very sturdy and does not flex as much as i thought which is a good thing!

I has helped me keep camera steady. Sometimes X Mark II along with a 300mm lens. To much to hand hold, but this compact monopod keeps my gear steady. Great for sports photography
