You don't get the chance to solve any of your own problems, but it's still charming. Turn your brain off maybe.

This has all the hallmarks of a typical Mario game so if you are a fan it's worth a play. I found the storyline to be much too long and it just felt like a slog to get through the game. The combat was a bit repetitive for my liking. That said, there is a enough Mario goodness here that it is still fun to play.

The story telling is slow moving. Graphics are neat! If you have not played the older platform version on other Nintendo systems, the appeal of the game may be lost on you. There are definitely better Mario and Luigi games.

On Par with Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Mario & Luigi Dream Team is a great game, it is on par with Bowser's Inside Story. It has great gameplay, the story gets more interesting as you go a long, and you will find your self wanting to listen to your favorite songs from the game. Pi'illo Castle's remix of a song from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for example comes to my mind.
Overall I would indeed recommend this to anyone who enjoys Mario Games or Games in general.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team is one of the most fun RPGs on the the Nintendo 3ds. I would put this game above Partners in Time and in the similar league of Bowser Inside Story.
The timing based battle system of this series helps relieve some of the grind of traditional Japanese RPGs, and the expert challenge mode in this game takes this ones step further. Even grinding becomes thrilling when you have 9 excellent combo going. The different game play styles between the real world and the dream world is also a nice way to keep pacing fun throughout.
The graphics are the best in the series of course, but aren't pushing the system to its limits. Many boss battles do use the 3d effects in interesting ways. The sound is wonderful as all Nintendo games usually are with catchy songs.
The story line is engrossing comparable to Uncharted or Hollywood's best(kidding). Was hoping for a bit more, but the dialogue and animations are as clever as ever. It also has French block people so that counts for alot.
I would recommend this game if you are a fan of the series or anyone who really wants a fun RPG for the 3ds with a great combat system.
Probably would give it 4.5 stars have to round up to 5, but no one will be disappointed with this purchase.
