I love the Marshall brand; I have an amp and a couple of bluetooth speakers that I really enjoy using. I wear headphones all day and could always use another pair and wanted a good value from a good brand, so here we are. These headphones are a really cool design, they definitely fit in aesthetically with my other Marshall products. The case is solid and charges via the included USB-C cable or wirelessly, the latter is to be expected for ANC headphones in this price range. Pairing to my iPhone was easy and you definitely want to download the Marshall app. There, you'll be asked to update the firmware and you can customize the touch controls, EQ and change the noise cancelling and transparency setting. I started with some music and toggled between the settings. For me, the noise cancelling setting sounded the best and I left the EQ at the default setting. My music sounded great, I heard every note, every instrument and was impressed by the base. Podcasts sound great as well. I am on the phone a lot for work, so the next test was wearing them at home for a day for work. They performed as well as could be expected, my calls sounded crystal clear and people on the end said I sounded like I was in the room with them. Next I paired them to my laptop and they worked equally as well for Teams and Zoom calls. These are my new everyday headphones and I will surely recommend them and will most likely buy more as gifts.

For this price point I was expecting a bit more. They do sound nice, but the noise cancelling is not that great. They come out of the box with the size medium inserts installed. I tried them for a bit but they didn't seem to be very loud nor did the noise cancelling work. So I put the large size inserts on them, normally I would use medium, but they just were not tight enough. Once I put the large inserts on them, they fit much tighter in my ears. The sound improved greatly and the noise cancelling worked a little bit better. The noise cancelling can be adjusted using the Marshall app. The range is from 0 to 100%, even at 100% they didn't seem to cancel out much noise. The app also has a built in equalizer. That allows you to select they type of music you like to change the tone to your liking there are about 6 or so different options. The case is relatively small, so you can put it in any pocket and take them along. I have some other premium in ear headphones that are a but larger and not great to put in my pants pocket. These will easily fit. There is a single LED to show that they are either charged fully or not. I would prefer that they had a meter of some sort to show the state of charge by looking at the case. You can tell the state of charge in the app, but that only shows the headphones themselves, not how much battery life is left in the case. Overall, I do like these headphones, the sound quality is good, the base is deep enough for me (once I got them to fit properly) they fit in my ears well, and are comfortable when wearing them. I am only giving them 4 stars because the noise cancelling does not work very well.

Big sound in a nostalgic little package

This is a fun set of earbuds that brings the nostalgia of the Marshall brand to your ears. With 20 hours of wireless playtime, active noise cancelling, and the Marshall sound behind it, the Motif A.N.C. cuts out the outside noise to give you big sound in a small package. If you've ever played an instument through a Marshall stack, the earbud case will make you smile. It looks like a tiny Marshall tube amp, complete with logo and that leather-ish feel. Bonus, the case can be charged wirelessly or using the included USB-C cable. Inside, the buds are sensibly shaped, with protruding parts that look like mini wireless microphones. Aesthetically, the look of the Motif A.N.C. is perfect for musicians. Sound-wise, these earbuds give some big, booming sound that you might expect from something with the Marshall name on it. And with active noise cancelling, the Motif A.N.C. locks you in and shuts everything out. Music sounds rich and podcasts are clear. I did experience a few Bluetooth-related drops, but it is a well-balanced, full sound experience. Control actions can be performed by touch on the earbuds themselves, and I've found them to be a little too sensitive. I would find myself skipping to the next song or pausing something by accident a little too often. However, the app allows you to customize these controls to your individual needs, from noise control to voice assistance or even to do nothing. The app also allows for other customizations like equalizer controls and eco charging, which extends the life span of the Motif A.N.C. by limiting their full charge. Overall, these earbuds deliver. Marshall's foray into the wireless earbud territory is a success. With full, rich sound, customizable controls via the free app, and true noise cancelling that keeps you zoned in, the Motif A.N.C. is a great option both in look and sound. Easy to recommend. Full disclosure, I received this product for my honest, unbiased review.

I've owned the Apple Earbud 1st generation since they came out. The battery life has dwindled on them so I needed a replacement. I have a Marshall wireless speaker unit which I enjoy a lot. The company is doing a nice job of branding the Marshall name on some quality products. I've used these wireless headphones for over a week now and believe they are a quality device. The audio quality exceeded my expectations and the comfort level is excellent - especially with the choice of sizes for your ears. Battery life has also exceeded my expectations as I was running them for over 4 hours without the need to charge them. I put them into the charging base after a four hour use and didn't need to charge them again for several days. Connecting them to my phone was simple and in line with most other quality bluetooth devices. I believe these are quality headphones and a value at this price point. The Marshall branding also provide a source for conversation when people see the store/charging unit.
