I have this sub paired with Deftech Demand D7 bookshelf speakers and the NEW Sonos amp. Sounds incredible. Tight, punchy bass and you don’t even know the sub is there - she is just doing her job in a very musical way. It’s great that you can make it downfiring or frontfiring. Great that it comes with wireless ability. We’re currently running a wire and the only obnoxious thing is the blinking blue light on the back, stating it’s ready to pair. A piece of electrical tape fixes that right up.

I can't say enough about this sub. I have always been a little leery about spending a lot of money on one speaker. Let me tell you, this one is worth it. In the store it sounded every bit as good as the $1800 subwoofers, and when I got it home, I was pleased that it sounded just as good. Crisp, clear low frequency sound fills the whole room. You can't even tell where the sub is located because the sound seems to come from everywhere. This is awesome because the wireless feature is flawless, and allows me to put the driver anywhere I want. After the sales guy demonstrated the speaker for me, I told him to turn it off, shut up, and take my money. I haven't regretted my decision for one second.

So good I bought a second one

I have owned many entry level and mid tier subwoofers, but the one that I never forgot was the original Martin Logan Dynamo. It was the quickest, tightest, compact sub I’ve ever owned. When I bought a super cube to go with my pro monitors, it sounded good but wasn’t quite what I was looking for. I decided to return and get the Martin Logan based on previous experience with the other one. When I hooked it up and started listing m, it took me back to the other dynamo, just more refined and wireless option. I have yet to hear a subwoofer in the price bracket that is as quick, start/stop, precise and fit and finish so well. The only complaint would be the blue light that flashes if you don’t use the wireless transmitter. Setup with this sub is key to the performance it can deliver. If you get the crossover dialed in right and volume set to blend properly, it’s a treat, you forget the subwoofers in the room and the amount of depth and precision it reveals is just plain awesome for less than a $1,000. I highly recommend.

    Awesome Subwoofer for Home Theater

The sub woofer works great in our home theater setup. Is was super easy to setup and worked right out of the box. The sub also looks great with the sleek black finish. The wireless works great and was a need for my family as I forgot to run a subwoofer cable when we were putting up the walls in the home theater. Thanks to best buy and Martin Logan I was still able to accomplish my 7.1 surround sound with out the directly ran cable. Some reviews have talked about a popping noise coming from the subwoofer this has happened twice since I have been using it for the last month. Only reason I noticed it was from reading other reviews else I probably would not even have know. Martin Logan makes great products, you will not be disappointed.

I am not a big sub woofer fan at all. When we were putting together our home theater sound package I expressed this to the consultant we were working with. We listened to a couple of choices and decided on this model. This sub has all the power anyone would want. It has the ability to adjust the output up or down to the individuals preference. We do not like to FEEL the bass pounding. Therefore, we like how we can turn the level down to what sounds good to us. Again, if you want to be blown away, you absolutely can do that with this sub. You can also adjust it to any level that sounds good to your personalized taste.

Super bass in a small box

I was afraid this was going to be too small for our place as the room is 40x25 and has an open floor plan to other rooms but I had to turn it down as the bass was vibrating everything. The YAmaha auto setup was trying to tone it done and gererated errors because it could not dampen enough. I now have the speaker controls on low, which is still loud, and it sounds great with my Speakercraft aim8 setup.

Sounds great, really good for its size and finish is top notch. Did pick up some interference so I wired it instead of leaving it WiFi and same noise, even without the source cable plugged in. However, it sounds so good I'm trading the one I have for a new to see if the problem is in the amp itself. TBD, delivery in January.

My previous subwoofer had two 8" speakers in it. This is a much smaller package with just a single 10" speaker and gives much MORE punch to my audio system. It sounds great and hardly takes any space. US-made is a big PLUS too. Highly recommended.

Compact, but packs a powerful punch! Chose this model to go with 3 Martin Logan SLM XL's for the Front L, C, and R. Plus a couple of ML Electro Motions for the rear. Nice!

One of the Best Wireless Compact Subwoofers

I was looking for a wireless subwoofer to complement the primary subwoofer in our home theater. And it needed to fit in a small space, no larger than 14" wide or deep. Although there are several compact SW's, the ML was the only one that was small enough and had the wireless receiver built-in, simplifying the setup. Connecting the SW was simple: just plug it in. The transmitter connects to the receiver SW output and an AC outlet. Pushing the wireless buttons on both units completes the wireless connection. Performance was surprising. Although the room is large (30' X 15'), it had no problem rivaling the performance of my 15" SW, reaching down below 30hz. Unfortunately, ML has replaced this model with the Dynamo 800X, which does not include wireless modules. They are available, but for an additional $110. If you need big sound but don't have much space and no wiring, I would strongly recommend that you pick up one of these before they are all gone.

I have had this sub for about 4 months now, using it with my Onkyo receiver. At first I bought the definitive technology sub but that did not do well at medium to high volumes. After doing some research I chose to try this sub out and did a price match which saved me about 80 bucks. Man can this thing kick. I am in a small room which is where this sub excels. It shakes the walls during tv shows and movies, has loud heavy thuds when playing video games and of course sounds amazing with music of all kinds. I have mine about 60% turned up but I control everything from my receiver. This sub is a heavy hitter imo. I has that heavy bass many people might be looking for. It is used as a downfiring sub but can be switched to frontfiring. There is a light that blinks which is for the wireless adapter and which is included and does work. If this is in your budget, buy it or just Price Match from verified websites.

I have 2 Martin Logan Dynamo sub-woofers in my 7.2 home theater setup. For the size, these babies provide just about the finest bass you can get in this price range. You can always spend more, but there is no need to with Martin Logan - if you want more out of a single sub-woofer, then jump up to the next size with the Dynamo 1000W. Also, this speaker includes a built-in wireless transmitter. All you need is power nearby and you are set!
