From its core right now, game play is fun, even better with friends. Story was good, the ending is a great step to expand more on. What keeps this game back is the bugs. I've run into a good bunch where enemies glitched and were unable to be defeated. My character fell through the ground and got stuck flying under the world and couldn't get out until my cousin continued the mission. Stuff like that happens often throughout the game. I feel hopeful that they will do many patches and updates for the game to where a majority of these issues will be gone. The rest is them adding more characters and new stories, thats what I'll be waiting for and I'm very much looking forward to it.

This game is far from the quality I expected from Marvel And Square collaboration. The single player is fair. But the avengers just do not feel different enough from one another and the combat leaves much to be desired. The single player lasts about 10 hours and presents a decent story. But after my campaign run the online multiplayer just started to show me the games flaws more as combat is the only focus of multiplayer. The loot mechanics are boring and I never felt like I was building a unique and powerful addition to a team. The combat is just standard button mashing with little to no strategy. And the enemy types are weak. Just basically robots and occasionally armed soldiers. The game is decent and kids/casual gamers will probably love it as it feels kind of akin to the LEGO games in terms of combat. However if you were looking for Destiny or Diablo with a marvel skin you will be disappointed. Here’s hoping doc fixes this lackluster Game

Story is new and fulfilling. I don't know much about comics and movies, but i know games and gameplay. The game is set up in two sequences, the story line sequence where you control one pre determined character and walk to your goal, and the action sequence where you can choose your hero and mission.... the missions feel rinse and repeat at times until something amazing happens with a boss and the world changes and becomes fresh again. Gameplay is typical rpg fashion with upgrading gear and obtaining materials during missions. Movement during mission is crisp, clean most of the time, especially with your flying characters, but good luck trying to climb a small ledge with hulk. Took a good amount of time, in his defense the game is designed to move forward and fast, not scour every nook and cranny for goodies like i do. This is only the main campaign im talking about too. There's still the avengers initiative i haven't touched yet.

It was a pretty great game in terms of story and everything, but at times the frames were terrible and it would glitch out a lot during important scenes/battles.

I'm only a couple of hours in but I like the game. If you have read some of the reviews, they are basically correct. Not a lot of variation in enemies and some of the levels are very similar. However, if you are a fan of the marvel universe and its variety of heroes, this is the game for you. There are a lot of references to the comic books, more than the movies, which gives it a good experience. So far, i find it enjoyable and i'm not cursing pre-ordering it. I like that more content will be introduced so this could get even better in the future.

I will start off by saying that the campaign is intriguing and interesting but is short. The game really does make you feel like Thor or Hulk. It makes every character feel different which is great. But at the same time Thor and Hulk can die from a few hits from a grunt. That's ridiculous. Another thing is that the loot is meaningless because it has no cosmetic appearance just stats and the next best piece of loot is just around the corner. Also, the missions are so repetitive and especially when all the places pretty much look the same. Go here do this beat up some bad guys. Also, if you're playing alone and go down you can only get back up 2 times but if you're playing with other people you can get up as many times as you want. Also, lots of people reported bugs when it launched but Crystal Dynamics seems to be listening because they've already issued out like 4 or 5 patches to fix some bugs. It's a good game with friends but you can say that about any game. Solo will be tough to level up your heroes. I would've much preferred if it was a game in the same vein as Ultimate Alliance instead of a RPG looter.

So, I just finished the solo campaign 9 days after picking up the game on the 1st of Sept. The campaign isn’t long (10-12 hrs), you can actually finish the game in a weekend if you have the time to dedicate to playing it through a few 4-5 hr sessions. Graphically, the game looks fantastic and the gameplay is decent, but some of the hero’s are not as easy to play with as others (Kamala Khan, Black Window and Thor are by far the easiest and most fun to play with). What makes this game well worth the price is the additional content after you complete the game (it’s called the Avengers Initiative). There are tons of multiplayer missions you can play online with other players (no duplicates of the same heroes on any missions though). And the equipment and leveling up brings the RPG aspect to the game that makes it even more fun (think Borderlands Avengers style). On top of that, there will be DLC adding new characters and story missions. BUY THIS GAME!!! Especially before the holidays so you can assemble with your crew and crush some of the most challenging missions and HARM rooms.

Wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars, it’s a very fun game and the story mode is actually surprisingly good. The only issue is the micro transactions and repetitive missions/DLC. It’s also a really gorgeous game to look at and runs pretty well

Overall a great game, if your a comic fan or all around gamer you’ll enjoy this. Decent graphics, good story and great replay options. The game once beaten is kindof repetitive but the coming dlcs will keep things interesting, definitely worth a play.

Its a great game 4 player action,upgrades free dlc.it has a few bugs but they patch it every week.the upgrades are on point u have 3 pages of it.and you have your emotes and your change of clothes.its a good game I give it 8/10

Im a huge fan of ironman and im enjoying playing as him every second!! The games strong side is the campaign but the multiplayer portion is also fun. It can be repetitive to some but being use to looter shooters and diablo like games that isnt an issue for me. With free dlc coming up soon that includes new playable characters and raids too add to the game im glad i got it!

I mean the game was good I mean it wasn't arcade like & the story was good the only thing I didn't like was the multiplayer in the game nor did I like the looting either but it was good

The Avengers is a game I am somewhat conflicted about. While the main campaign has a good story and is fun to play the multi-player missions can be dull and repetitive.

this is a great game. Even tho, at the moment, its kinda buggy,it has the potential to be a great game especially with all the free content to come throughout the games life cycle. The combat is great, the sound design is amazing, each character feels different from the next and the campaign is REALLY good. I'm satisfied with this purchase

The game is fun. The story is really great. Playable characters are different enough that they can be mastered, but core gameplay is similar enoungh it won't take forever.

Avengers is a great game. I’ve played through the campaign, which was amazing, and have moved on to the multiplayer aspect of the game and find it just as fun so far. Can’t wait to see the new dlc characters to join the avengers. If you love the avengers, you will really enjoy this game.

Is a good game nice picture colors and story line I wish had more heroes to begging with like ultimate alliance but overall is good

Overall, a decent game! The campaign and story is fun and what makes this game playable! Hopefully they fix everything else.

So far, it’s a great game. Good story, great characters development and great gameplay. Highly Recommended.
