I didn’t watch the first one. But jumping into this one not knowing anything was a very heartwarming moment. I watch all types of movies left and right. But this one just made me feel at peace. The singing and direction of this was amazing! This is an outstanding family movie. You should get this and just enjoy the ride

I really did enjoy this movie, but the sequence of events and the songs seemed to try to copy the original too much, instead of a completely different story. For example, there were three songs about singing and dancing with animals in the park, with street workers, and being on the ceiling that just seemed copies of original songs. It was fun and well acted, but a little too close to the original.

Return of Mar Poppins is the sequel to the original movie, Mary Poppins. The movie pays homage to the original as well as going back old school using 2-D animation. The movie is fun for all ages and families. It comes with a Digital Copy and you can redeem this movie if you have a Disney Movie Rewards Account.

Saw this in the theaters and it was worthy of a day one purchase. Emily Blunt does a great job recreating the mystique and joy that is Mary Poppins, while being her -own- Mary Poppins. A few cute tie-ins and throwbacks to the original, while standing on it's own two legs just fine. A must see for all ages!

This is a nice movie. The high quality of the video is welcome with the new HQ TV and player, and it all looks super! The story is well played out with a bit of suspense and appropriate drama, with a good mix of humor that is OK for the kids. The central character is well portrayed and has accompanying quirks and mystical abilities that make for much fun, indeed. However, I found it a bit slow, and quite different from the original in terms of music and dance numbers. That is, the musical numbers were boring and tedious, having me check the time as they played out. I do not remember any of the songs, individually... They are just not memorable. Lacking catchy lyrics and unique melodies, they are fillers which could have been much better, in my humble opinion. The cameo by Dick V was delightful, and showed off his fabulous and personable technique, and his seemingly undiminished vitality, making the wait worth the effort. I recommend it for family viewing. It is certainly more of chick and kid flick... but the men of the house will enjoy watching with the family, I am sure.

I am always hesitant when there is an attempt to meet or beat the previous version of a movie. Mary Poppins Returns did this and did it well. Great new storyline with a connections to the original movie. This Blu-ray, DVD, and digital version all in one set is a great option to watch anytime and anywhere.

The cast was stellar and did a great job but the music was not as catchy, the story was not as good, and the overall feel wasn’t quite what I was expecting. On the good side, the effects were amazing and the acting was on point. Really liked how they brought back some original cast members. Good movie for the kids, just not what I was hoping for to a follow up Mary Poppins.

Magical in its own way and led by Blunt who makes the role her own and Miranda is stellar as well. It plays homage to the original but smartly doesn't try to best it or replace it. It's its own movie. I was disappointed in the music and don't think we will be sing the songs fifty years later. But it is beautifully filmed and makes you feel good as you leave the theatre!

A wonderful movie that really captures the feeling of the original. Has just enough feeling of the original without boring you with predictably. Emily Blunt doesn’t have the voice range of Julie Andrews but it is not noticeable because of her stage presence. Her acting truly demands your attention.

I am in LOVE with the original and even though I wanted the same characters for Bert and Mary I think the actors and the writers still gave it a good rendition that still stayed true to the original movie which I loved. Even in the music and animation!! Brilliant job to the director

Guess I am officially upgraded to the 4K world now with this first 4K movie purchase. Cannot believe the difference in the technology advances from just a few years ago when I started BluRay purchases. The quality is great. And the movie itself is a wonderful addition to our library.

An absolute pleasure to watch! I wasn't sure if I'd be a fan because I'm absolutely critical about everything I watch, especially when it comes to classics or continuations of childhood staples but this did not disappoint. Glad I purchased and didn't waste the money renting.

Wow! I loved the original and now in love with the return of Mary Poppins. Emily was exquisite in this role. The children in the original are the protagonists in the reboot and they were great. The cameos with Dick & Angela were nostalgically delightful. Wonderful family fun!!!!

OK, not usually happy with some of the musical type movies, but this was superb in the way it blended the singing into the theme of the movie. Not some no-talent A-actors trying to sing, actually singers doing a great job. I have watched all of these and loved this one, enjoy...

The original Mary Poppins was Disney's only live-action film to get a Best Picture nod in his day. 50 years later, this sequel is a fitting follow-up to that all-time favorite. The animation, the musical sequences, the dancing are all perfectly delightful. Mary Poppins is back!

I bought this for my grandma as a gift but I ended up liking it much more than I thought. We watched the original together when I was a kid. This is an enjoyable sequel with completely new music but it pays nice homage to the original with some original cast members present.

We were a little reserved about a sequel coming out so long after the original, but it turns out to be amazing! Our children loved this movie. It has a good message, the songs are great, and keeps everyone interested. Highly recommend to fans of the original and of musicals.

This movie was just as good as the original movie. my grand kids loved the movie. So I gave them the DVD version so that they have it for their home entertainment. That is why I always buy the Blu-Ray and the DVD ,Digital movie. It is well worth the cost to buy this movie.

Five stars to a breathtaking musical directed and choreographed by the brilliant Rob Marshall. Outstanding musical performances by Emily Blunt and the unstoppable Manual. I was blown away by the choreography! Like seeing a Broadway show!!! You must own this masterpiece!!

I saw the original Mary Poppins with my parents when I was young... and now seeing this new one with my grandkids. Very surprised at how much I liked it! Good acting, songs, special effects. Just the right amount of nostalgia and homages to the original, too! Loved it!
