My old dishwasher was a cheap basic model that was not really installed correctly and so the sink tended to train into the dishwasher... ugh! When that unit started making weird clicking noises I decided it was time to upgrade. This unit was on sale and had excellent reviews, plus at the time had a special offer of free installation through Best Buy, so I decided to splurge. After about a month I am very happy with the unit! It seems to clean well and is not super-complicated to understand; I just load it, add detergent, and then push "normal wash," "sanitize," and "heated dry off," then "start," and then a few hours later the dishes are done. Also, the front door panel does not seem to show finger prints or splash marks. I was super happy with the delivery and installation provided by Best Buy; not only was it free, but the guy called ahead, was polite, and was super-competent: he installed and tested the unit -- and fixed the drainage problem without tearing up my kitchen cabinets -- in less than an hour and a half. He even left a phone number in case there was a problem that showed up later, but I have not needed to call. I am very happy with the purchase so far, and especially with the ease and quality of the delivery and installation service.

The Maytag - 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel Maytag Built-In Dishwasher:883049409122 is an excellent replacement for our older one. The stainless steel case and the quality of the two racks is excellent. It works great and has different cycle options for time saving or heavy cleaning. Both the Bestbuy online and in-store experiences for this item were great.

I don't have to prewash dishes with this Maytag dishwasher. Dishes come out sparkling clean even if peanut butter was left on a knife or pans were lefty with crusty residue prior to washing. Large items, such as crock pots, fit easily into the roomy bottom tray. The top tray has rows of varying heights so that even wine glasses can fit on the top rack. The motor runs extremely quietly. I was surprised that the auto setting is deemed the most energy efficient, even though it runs for over two hours. I just run the dishwasher at the end of the day, and I've kept it on the auto cycle. I would definitely buy this dishwasher again, and recommend it to others.

My 4 star rating is due to the first machine I received. The first one was dropped off rather quickly by the delivery team. They left quickly without opening the box to view the contents. I opened the box to find the dishwasher had been dented by the movers. The second one was delivered a week later and this time was inspected for defects. It was flawless in appearance and has worked perfectly since I installed it. I would recommend this washer to someone looking for a good washer at a reasonable price. Watch out for washers that do not have heating elements. They take a long time to dry dishes because they use the ambient air to dry for them. This one has a good element and will dry shortly after washing.

Current Dishwasher finally went out and wife and I went to Best Buy to find a great dishwasher replacement. We walked in straight to the dishwasher section and a lady greeted us and showed us the Maytag on sale that had free delivery and free installation. After looking at other dishwashers for 5 minutes wife chose the first one we looked at. Two men came and installed it in record time - so professional - we just love the Maytag we bought. Great experience all around. Thanks!

I've had much better luck going by the reviews of products by actual purchasers of the products rather than going by the consumer magazines. To be fair this dishwasher only received middling recommendations in the consumer mags which were in deep contrast to the reviews by actual users who were by and large immensely pleased with this model. So, we've only had it installed for a week and I can tell you I never expected it to perform this well. After seeing how good the initial results were in cleaning everything we intentionally put in dishes and bowls with baked on and dried up food which we didn't think there was any way the dishwasher could clean them. They had stuff on them that you'd really have to scrub at if you wanted to clean them manually. Nonetheless they came out perfectly clean! We were stunned to say the least. As far as sound is concerned, I have to say you can barely tell this thing is running, it's that quiet. Our old dishwasher you could hear all over the house. We could tell if it was running from our bedroom which is pretty far away from the kitchen. With this one there is no way we could here it running from our bedroom. As far as the time it takes to wash dishes is concerned, it's very much in line with what we've seen from other models, even the more expensive one. For us the time is not an issue. There is a 1 hour quick cycle which we could use if we wanted to. However we generally start the dishwasher before we go to bed and then unload it in the morning. So, the difference between it taking 1, 2 or even three hours is irrelevant. I was going to install it myself however Bestbuy offered free delivery and installation with this manufacturer at the time I purchased it. I was very impressed and happy with the installation. First of all I was only expecting one guy to show up. There were three. Second, they showed up exactly on time. Third, they installed it with great care, taking their time to fit it into the cabinet as best as possible and very carefully, making sure not to damage any part of the cabinet it fit into. Fourth, they were very fast and efficient. They were at my house for less that a half hour. Couldn't ask for more. More on the dishwasher itself, I'm very impressed with how much we can fit into it. I am also impressed by how well it dries. I don't see where anyone would be disappointed in this model. Perhaps others are looking for things we were not looking for. For example I find the notion of hidden controls to be rather irritating. Others may be looking for that feature and find it beneficial. Then there's the matter of it's price. This model is close to half the price of the dishwashers recommended by the consumer magazines. I've checked them out and don't see for our purposes what the advantage would be of spending close to twice the price for the consumer magazine recommended models. I highly recommend considering this model.

Ok, so I don't do reviews usually. I often go ignore them when the product is good but not great. I will review only if the item is amazing or horrible. Well this time is amazing! Our last dishwasher was outdated but only about 5 years old. Couldn't clean anything and was just loud. This one is quiet, very sleek looking and yes the finger prints don't show up. Great for our little ones who like to touch everything. Installing was a breeze and now for the best part. I don't care how caked on or crusted your pan is, it will clean. Within reason!! Don't throw a lasagna pan in there that has been sitting in the sink 3 weeks I mean be reasonable. However, I'd you just made brownies or a cake and the pan had been sitting a day crusted on, it will be spotless when remove. In the few months I have had this thing now, not a single dish has come out dirty. The auto cycle feature is great and the ways times are almost double my old unit but uses about the same amount of water maybe a little more but not much. I'll take longer cycle for never having to rewash another dish again.. No more scrubbing pans before loading. Use comon sense; rinse food off because its bad to have large food particles in there, don't pack the dishes so tight nothing can move and always read the owners manual for recommendations. Follow that and this will be the best dish washer under 500 you have ever seen. I promise!

Meets every single expectation. I echo every 5 star review. This thing is a beast and for the value...look no further. The inside is huge, you can't even tell it's running and it would probably blow the paint off of your car. Again, it's a beast. A good lookin' one at that! I did a self install, the only PITA is that you must remove the hardware box to connect your wires. It's mounted upside down and backwards. I'm assuming they do this to force you to splice and terminate your wires correctly. You definitely cannot shortcut tgat part. Otherwise, barring any home plumbing malfunctions...find your breaker and it's 3 wires. After that it's simply 1 wrench point at the water supply and 1 screwdriver point to the sink drain. Done. If you are even somewhat handy, don't pay the $150 install fee. Seriously. You can do it. If you have a disposal and are apprehensive and/or not so handy, don't even try it because the electric panel is confusing if you've never unmounted (the only part that isn't really R&R) FYI, it is totally normal for your new dishwasher to have a slight amount of moisture. This is standard across the industry. This is due to actual live testing. Mine was built a week prior to delivery. Hope that helps with a few of the negative reviewers whom think they got a used unit. This is a GREAT dishwasher.

We recently purchased this dishwasher to replace the old one upon purchasing a new home. Our dishes come out cleaner than ever, especially if you use the recommended soaps. It is super quiet. Most of the time you don't realize that it is even running. The control panel is easy to understand. I wasn't sure about the cheap feel of the washing device on the bottom as it seems a bit flimsy but we have had no issues. The stainless is nice and we don't have to rinse off our dishes too much before putting them in the dishwasher. It cleans them all. Great purchase and the free delivery and installation from Best Buy is one of the reasons that we decided to purchase it. However, you can't go wrong with Maytag.

I purchased this dishwasher as a replacement for an older dishwasher that stopped working. I choose this one mainly because of the price and promotion for free installation. Also it looked to have good reviews. I got the stainless steel model since it was on sale for the same price as the white and black. Overall appearance of the dishwasher is ok. I took off the stickers and even the Maytag emblem on the front which I thought looked a little out of place. The emblem came off pretty easy and did not leave any mark behind which was nice. I noticed the door panel on mine kind of pops in and out depending on the position. Not a big deal, but it is probably not supposed to do that. The door is kind of hard to open, but it is adjustable. Note, if you are going to adjust it, make sure to do it before it is installed. Space inside is ok but somehow it seems to have less space compared to my old dishwasher even though they are the same size. The top rack looks like it might be adjustable but this feature is only available on select models. The racks are a little difficult to move in and out and feel a bit wobbly. I tried the quick wash first which goes for about 1 hour. The noise level is quieter than my last dishwasher which is nice. You can still hear it from the next room, but it is not too bothersome. Dishes will take some time to dry after the quick wash. Overall the cleaning job was ok. The normal wash takes about 2 1/2 hours. It is supposed to use less water even though it runs longer. On this cycle, it does the heat dry option which helps dry the dishes but they were still a little wet after the wash. Some glasses on the top rack were still dirty and needed to be washed manually even after the normal wash. Overall I probably would not recommend this dishwasher unless you are on a budget and cannot find a better option in this price range. I also recommend seeing the dishwashers in store if possible to get a better understanding of them in person rather than just going by reviews online.

I bought this to replace my current dishwasher from last century who decided to stop doing its one job...clean dishes. I installed this one according to directions and found it straightforward and easy. (My first time installing a dishwasher) Things to note: -Inside cavity holds alot of dishes and allows for pots and cookie sheets without getting stuck on top tray. -I find that it is very quiet when running and adore the easy button display. -It has sanitation that we need for newborn bottles. -The silverware basket holds alot and has slots for each individual piece for optimum cleaning -It cleans well and glasses come clean and clear as long as you use rinse aid. -Do not overfill otherwise it will not clean well. -Beautiful looking and no fingerprints. Overall, I love this dishwasher so far! Based on its current performance, I would definitely purchase a Maytag again.

The Maytag dishwasher has proven to be a good choice in replacing my previous dishwasher which was a Kenmore. The Kenmore was a higher priced model than this one but I went with it based on reviews, the stainless steel interior, the cleaning ability, and the simple control panel operation. I have had the product for a few months now (June timeframe). Cleans as advertised and has a food grinder so a good washing is not really needed although I do rinse off big items. But it is just a quick rinse. Still quite dirty when put in. No issues with the cleaning. This may turn some people off. It does not have all the whiz bang control features as my previous Kenmore model had but I prefer this. Less to potentially break. I had the free installation as part of the holiday sale for my purchase. I recommend this as there is an additional part that needs put in with this model that you have to purchase. Ensure you have this part. Install was quick and easy and they hauled away the old one. For this price and the included installation and more importantly the performance so far...I recommend this product to others. It is also quiet. I did see someone else had problems with an odor. I had this same issue after the first few uses. It is gone now.

Had this for several weeks now. First, the installation by the Geek Squad was outstanding...very knowledgeable installer. And the dishwasher itself is excellent...my dishes all come out cleaner than any dishwasher I have used before (previous dishwasher was a much more expensive KitchenAid). Plus this thing is very, very quiet...sometimes I have to check it to make sure it is really on. Finally, i LOVE the fingerprint resistant feature....my prior KitchenAid was stainless steel and I had to constantly clean smudges off of it...I haven't had to clean my Magtag dishwasher even once since I bought it.

I love how well this dishwasher cleans. It's also fairly quiet and has a good energy star rating. On the downside, the dishwasher is set up so that it just does not seem to hold as many dishes as my previous dishwasher. I'm talking at least a third fewer dishes! We are empty nesters, so this is not a huge issue, but I would not recommend it for a mid-sized or larger family.

My new Maytag dishwasher was made in America, which is really important to me! It is beautiful and sleek on the outside and the inside is heavy stainless steel with really substantial, thick nylon racks! It has a built in grinder that is on during the wash cycle to grind up anything that may wash off the dishes. The dishes come out really clean and the glasses are sparkly!! It is pretty quiet, even with the grinder! I LOVE my new Maytag dishwasher and encourage everyone to get one! Made in USA!!!!

I read many reviews and narrowed down my selection needs to be a stainless steel tub and {insert front color that matches other appliances}. I carefully went through every review of every other dishwasher and sorted out the usual 1s and 2s from people who got lemons or didn't understand life. This dishwasher won hands down. Then I looked on competitor's websites for other reviews and the same conclusion out there. It washes nice and quickly and is barely audible. I've had a few random dishes that are still dirty, but its more like because there were large amounts of sauce left on a plate or it was already crusty when I put it in. I really do like the fact that you can put two rows of normal plates in the bottom tray. I've used it with and without the heated dry and am very pleased in both cases. I normally just open the doors when it's done and let them air dry. I cannot think of any other negatives, it's just a great dishwasher! Plenty of space for plates and flatware. The delay feature is great as I can schedule it for when I'm sleeping and it won't wake you up, as it is way quieter than the water softener and the ice cube maker.

I really like this dishwasher. This is the only model I could find with an all stainless tub at this price point. After comparing many models and price ranges, I did notice that the price on this one frequently goes up and down between $499 and $649 so if you decide on this model grab it when its $499! The dishes come out spotless and squeaky clean. If you use a drying agent with the heated dry, than yes, the drying is good, just a little water on the top rack on the mugs but this is to be expected. Many reviewers disliked the length of the cycles. If you select power blast, sanitize and heated dry- yes, the cycle is 4 hours and 37 minutes. BUT- wait! don't change your mind yet!- that is the longest option- you can choose a quick wash and heated dry and that is only 1 hour and 37 minutes- and there are many other options in between. I've used the quick wash with heated dry and the dishes were very clean and dry. I only use the longer options if the dishes are really greasy and the dishwasher is packed. If I turn it on right before going to bed the time isn't an issue. The interior tub is huge and making me super lazy! I've already put my greasy pots and pans in along with all the other dishes and everything came out squeaky clean:) ..oh, and they recommend the cascade drying agent but I used a cheapo brand from the dollar store and it worked great

This dishwasher looks beautiful and washed my dishes great. The problem is it would leak about once every fifth load. It would leak near bottom right side of the door. I thought maybe I was blocking the water spray by loading too much dishes or something. Nope, no matter what I tried about every fifth load it would drop again. Since I only had the dishwasher for a month I debated whether to have best buy exchange it or call Maytag. Decided to call Maytag and I have to say their service is awesome. Not only did I get a hold of an actual person immediately, she put an order in to have someone come out within a day or two. Now the repairman (third party, not an actual Maytag repair man) ran some tests and after about thirty minutes he started taking the rubber (liners?) off the inside of the dishwasher. Then he changed the way the bottom part of the rubber was facing. Tells me that he's seen a few dishwashers like this (defect) in the way they put the rubber. Instead of sealing the dishwasher it was also preventing the water from draining and causing the the water to overflow and cause the drip. Haven't had any problems since but he told me only time will tell if this fixes it. So far no problems, keeping my fingers crossed. Other than the leak issue the dishwasher is great and Maytag has awesome service.

I normally don't write reviews. But this thing is so good it is almost unbelievable. Combined with the recommended detergent glasses we have had with a slight tint on them for ten years (And two dishwashers) became clean. I went and inspected all the food disposal built ins on site and this was the only one I found with metal blades. Hopefully it will perform this way for a long time but the technology is, from my point of view, almost like magic. Use the pot scrubber cycle - and get ready! Wwooooh. :)
