Works great. We're replacing all kitchen appliances and updating to stainless steel and bought this to replace an 18 yo maytag. The old one still worked good but was noisy. This model does an excellent job of getting everything sparkling clean. Even dried on egg and melted cheese. We actually put unrinsed dishes in and let it sit all day. I was amazed to find perfectly clean dishes, not one trace of leftover food or any residue at all. Everything clean. And it is very quiet. My husband can watch TV in the room and carrying on a conversation, you don't even hear it running. Fantastic dishwasher.

Only had it for 1 month. So far it works great. Very quiet.. holds plenty of dishes and large room for pots. Cleans very well.

We had purchased a Maytag dishwasher last June and it would keep starting by itself. Whirlpool was unable to solve the problem so they bought it back and we bought this one. So far this has been a great dishwasher with no problems. It cleans dishes very well, it is quiet compared to other models we have used. We like the fact that this has the food grinder so we don't get pieces of food on the dishes. I will update this iof we have any problems going forward as we have only had this for about a month.

Clearly well constructed, quiet and likely to be reliable. I find the rack design, including the highly touted third drawer, to be a mixed blessing. Some good and some of it kind of "huh?". Cleaning ability seems fine, drying is pretty good. I am relatively pleased with this item.

So far it's great. We opted for delivery and installation and are happy we did. It's quiet, cleans well, and fits a good amount.

Would have given 5 stars but do not like the hum of the dishwasher. Otherwise it is perfect. Washes and dries the dishes wonderfully. Glasses are dry and sparkling. Plastic also come out clean and dry. Easy to use. I use the quick cycle with extra heat. I do rinse my dishes before loading, absolutely clean and dry results.

This model is very quite. I've never been a fan of a 3rd tray at the top of dishwasher however I'm impressed with this model. The 3rd tray allows for not only utensils but cups and small bowls. This 3rd tray has a separate sprayer to ensure dishes are cleaned properly. This is really good use of the space without compromising the room for the other trays. The utensil basket is removable and can me placed in the horizontally or vertically to satisfied the need of your load.

Great machine. Quiet, cleans well, and the third rack is a game changer.

This is the best dishwasher I have ever owned. I had a brand new Kitchenaid that started giving me trouble after a year and then actually caught fire from a plastic piece that came off during the wash and touched the heating element. I hated it and just after 3 years of use got rid of it. I was so nervous about purchasing a new one and decided to go with Maytag as they are known for customer service. I am so happy! This dishwasher cleans like a dream and is so quiet!

Very quiet and easy to load & operate. It has lot of room and is very efficient.

Great product real silent. I didn’t like the buttons on top at first but it doesn’t matter cause it counts down before you close it. Also I love the adjustable and removable racks.

After my old dishwasher that came with my house finally started throwing codes and being told it would be better just to buy a new dishwasher I pulled the trigger and got this Maytag. I’ve had it for about 9 months now and only had one code, but that was because of human error. My wife opened the washer to add a dish and it flooded the drip tray. Once I dried the drip tray out it worked perfectly. It’s not loud at all and I love that it’s a metal tub. My dishes do sometimes come out wet after having the drying setting on, but that due to accumulation of water on lids that aren’t placed on their side. The machine is fairly easy to install on your own with the right tool. Took me about an hour to get it lined up perfect and anchored down. I really took my time since I’ve never installed one before. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase and with Best Buy’s delivery service.

After suffering through a crappy but brand new & even more costly Whirlpool product for four weeks, i sold that and replaced my dishwasher with this new Maytag model MDB8959. Night & day differences in the drying capabilities, as wel as loading & dish placement capabilities. It also cleans great and is VEERRRYY quiet. So very impressed and it was worth losing money on the Whirlpool in order to switch them out for eachother.

Product is a 7 (if I could rate that high). Best Buy is a 2. Install went ok. Service was quick (which is why this is not 1 star). Bottom closeout panel not installed correctly, insulation was on the outside. Installer called back out and corrected it. A few weeks later we noticed the bottom stuck out beyond top. So, front door was at an angle , with the top in about an inch from the bottom. Read instructions and realized installer had not adjusted rear legs properly. Called Best Buy, found out it was beyond the time limit (90 days) for installer warranty. Maytag is the Manufacturer. Called them and they did warrant the install even though it was not really their issue. I rate them a 7, 5 for the Product and 2 for their service beyond what Best Buy Did.
