Large tub takes big loads has agitator saves water

Great buy! It’s big enough for my fam of 5. If you’re short, you may have to climb in. Easier to keep clean than the front loaders. SN: make sure your pan underneath has a drain plug near the edges. If in the center, it’s gonna cause interference with the actuator and sound like it’s taking off.

have alarge family so washer gets a very good work out easy to rungets clothes very clean and fresh helps save on extra water useage.

The good washer just takes a little bit of practice the large switch from the previous one but it does king size Sherpa blankets amazingly holds the size gets things clean just takes practice on getting the right amount of soap down and learning the balance of the bigger machine going to write a review

This washer has a deep fill option that only allows it to fill half way with water max. This really only makes it effectively 2.6 ft.³ of wash size. If you want a washer that fills up all the way you’re better off getting a Speed Queen. This Maytag does small loads using deep cycle only on some of the cycles. If you fill the basin more than halfway with clothes or you don’t use deep fill, the clothes will not be cleaned. This is because the clothes will not agitate around enough to be cleaned. I returned it after using it for one day. It is inadequate. Top loaders should be able to fill all the way with water. If you want to save water get a front loader as gravity will agitate the clothes as it turns. Front loaders appear to be the only washers that work with a small quantity of water.

The washer was purchased because of the name and it was made in the USA. We had a problem with the washer a couple weeks after purchase. We contacted Maytag and they sent a Technician to repair the washer within a couple days. Maytag has excellent service Repair.

This machine is very smart. It has a myriad of functions and can sense how much water to use. The only drawback is that the tub is very deep so a grab and reach tool is a must for short people.

We really didn’t like all the controls on the machine but got used to them. The size of the washer is great it fits a lot of laundry in it

I had this washer less than a year and had to get it repaired. It stopped spinning and the water had to be pumped out.

I wouldn’t buy this machine again if I had a choice.I had the machine for a month calling for repairs.Then the part I order for the machine didn’t arrive on time.The machine make noise when washing. Repair service says that the way it suppose to sound.It is VERY ANNOYING! Buyer be aware!!!

This washer is great! I love this washer better than my old Electrolux front load washer! I will never go back to a front load! But if you are short like me you may need a step stool!!! It’s deep! But I love it!

Overall the washer is nice, however, when washing dark clothing on a cold cycle the clothes end up with a residue that requires additional rinse cycles to remove. Tried all the "help" ideas we found online as well as called service for guidance and tips. Nothing helped. After almost a month of giving this machine the benefit of doubt, we returned it for another brand.

Bought this set to replace an older Maytag washer/dryer. We were pretty happy with the old set, but not 100% with the cleaning ability without the agitator, so we specifically bought this set because of the agitator. We've been happy with it for the most part, the only downside being that very large comforters can sometimes "trap" the laundry pods, not allowing them to disintegrate completely and leaving a residue on it. We haven't really seen this with regular clothing where the water can get all around. Probably wouldn't be an issue if you used liquid laundry detergent rather than pods. The only other major caution I have is that the wash tub is really BIG. That doesn't sound bad, and really isn't...but I'm a 5'7" guy and I have to stand on my tiptoes to get socks etc. out of the bottom of this thing. If you are a smaller person, or can't bend over easily, you might opt for something smaller.

I opted to go with a large tub washer to cut down on the number of loads to wash. I love that I can wash so many at one time. I wash most everything on bedding so that the water level is above the clothes, otherwise, you will barely see the water. It allows you to adjust the speed of the spin and soil level too. I also like that it gives an exact time for the wash. So far, I have been very pleased with the washer.

I chose a Maytag because my previous machine was one. So far I like the machine. I perhaps bought too large of one but it only uses water to wash the load I have. After 16 yrs with the other one, I had to pay attention to the new directions which were doable.

This washer is great for efficiency! Everyone who has seen it loves it. Never had a washer that spins so much water out of the clothes which makes a quicker dry time

We had purchased a GE washer from Best Buy and were very disappointed. It was the loudest washer I had ever experienced. We chose the Maytag to replace it and are very impressed with this machine. My suggestion.....spend the extra money and Buy the Maytag.

So far so good! had to exchange the 4.2 for the 5.2 model the 4.2 would not do a queen size blanket,, it stopped in the middle of a cycle. This one is extra large and have had no problems with it.

I had tried 2 other brands of washers and was not too happy with them. Everyone in my house is really happy with this washer and with all its functions and especially how much you can fit in it.

This is a great washer. I like the deep fill feature. It reminds me of the washers of yesterday with modern features. Cleans good. Best Buy had the better price and we compared two other places for same one. Had to buy on line but no problem there.
