I love this washer it looks great and gets our clothes clean. My only gripe is that they come out a bit damp and require drying. It may be too much to ask, but a washer that also dried my clothes would be dreamy. Whomever comes up with that will be a billionaire (take note Maytag!). This is a pretty quiet unit. It can make plenty of noise if you don't train it properly, but we looked up the secret codes to turn off the bells and whistles and now it simply washes clothes quietly, like my great, great, great grandma used to do. A 5.3 cu. ft. cleaning machines this one. It will eat all the dirty clothes you can feed it and spit them back out good as new if you add a little detergent first. Good luck!

This machine has a large capacity. If you are on the short side you may need a little step stool to get to the bottom. It is great. Did realized until we got it but this is a HE machine and will require HE detergent and will use minimal water when washing. It is load sensing so it will adjust put just the water it needs. It is quite and there are several options for cleaning. I love that it has oxy drawer so you can fill it up.

I bought this Size so I could wash a California King BedSpread with enough space to actually get it clean. It does the job smashingly. It has a load setting that uses more water, which I use when washing items with pet hair on them. It's very quiet and sturdy I've only had this washing machine a month but so far it's exactly what I needed.

No agitator inside washer, wish I could do that with the rest of my life. LOL. My clothes smell so fresh and look cleaner compared to my older washer. I am glad I chose a top loader over a front loader. Front loaders look like they will have too many issues. The washer is very deep but reaching keeps me in shape. Ha Ha. Anyway, I really love this washer and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This is by far the biggest waste of money washing machine I’ve ever used in my life. It has a giant tub (that you end up throwing your back out to reach the bottom), but it only fills with a couple inches of water…they call it a water saving feature. Well that defeats the purpose because every single time I’ve washed, no matter which setting I use, it leaves behind soap residue all over my clothes. I’ve noticed my clothes feel stiffer and colors are faded, so I know it doesn’t rinse the soap off. I even took out a pair of shorts that had DRY spots on them that neither soap nor water touched! You either have to use the Deep Water Wash setting and add an Extra Rinse cycle, or soak and then rinse and spin…all of which don’t completely do the trick. And I’ve used both HE pods and small amounts of liquid detergent. Complete waste of time, money and effort. So much for being more efficient. In addition to it not rinsing the soap off, it also doesn’t even remove the DIRT! I’ve pulled out clothes that have lint, hair and dirt on them. GROSS. I have actually started using the lint roller on my clothes to finish the job, which is a huge time consuming pain in the... As if that’s not bad enough, the machine has this nasty way of ripping & destroying anything you put in it. I can’t use the Delicate cycle because it doesn’t use enough water, even with the Extra Rinse. But if I use the Deep Water Wash, it roughs up my delicate clothes like a dog shreds a toy. If any item has an itty bitty piece of string hanging off of it, the machine will find it and PULL until the stitching is completely unraveled. During the spin cycle it twists & turns the clothes until they are all tangled and you end up pulling out a huge puzzle of clothes that you have to take apart very carefully. And that loose string…I had a brand new top that had the loose string tangled around everything else, so now that top is completely ruined. I’ve had clothes that I washed plenty of times in my previous Whirlpool washer with no problem, end up ruined in one wash with this Bravos XL piece of crap. Brand new clothes don’t stand a chance either. Who designed this machine and how did it ever make it past quality control, it SUCKS. This machine doesn’t clean, rinse, or preserve anything you put in it…it only DESTROYS!!! I will never purchase a Maytag again.

Do NOT buy! Maytag is the worst! We had this machine for two years and it just stopped working. I plan on going on every website and letting customers know that this is an unreliable machine. My grandmother's ancient washer is way better! Maytag left an area under the control panel exposed. What happens is steam gets under the control panel and corrodes it so the machine stops responding. I have a completely dead machine. Keep in mind, my washer is only two years old. How is that acceptable? I've done extensive research and this is happening among many consumers who bought this machine. Maytag, you need to up the quality of your machines. Do better !!!!!

We’ve had it for about a month and with a family of six and all four of our kids playing sports, it’s been great. No issues with clothes not being clean, as some folks have reported. I honestly think it’s the type and amount of detergent you use. It’s a simple machine to use, the kids always help out. It’s crazy how much teenage boys stink, geezuz! Did I stink that bad..... sheesh.... I made it a point, because of the reviews I read, to check and smell the clothes as it came out of the washer and found no issues at all. We use the Deep Wash cycle for the heavily soiled soccer game uniforms. We love the Oxi tray, my wife is an RN and uses that setting for her scrubs. The timer is a great feature as well. You just have to get use to all the strange noises the machine makes, your first thought is something just broke, LOL. But it’s normal noise.

I have had this washer for about 6 months now. I am still waiting for it to get better. I bought this because of the size and the customer reviews . There is no short cycle. You cant use pods with small loads they don’t dissolve. Today was the final straw for me writing a review. I washed a sheet that my dog had an accident on late last night. I got as much as I could off and today I washed it with 2 lap blanket. The soiled was all over the sheet and the blankets. I used the bedding setting and unlesss you wash everything in deep water wash forget about you clothes coming out semi clean, the lint will be stuck to all your clothes and if you do wash bedding in there your better off going to a laundry mat. They will be much cleaner. My towels don’t come out clean. I have to rewash everything twice. I have tried to use all the settings and the only way one i seem to go back to is the deep water setting only because that is the only way to get your clothes wet and not damp. So where is the savings between extra soap, water and electricity? This washer was such a disappointment on so many levels I would move on. I bought Maytag because it was also a good strong product and my mother still has hers after 30 years. The only plus side I can see is that it does ring your clothes out nice so your dryer doesn’t have to work as hard. I can’t wait to get rid of this washer. I’m tired of doing everything twice.

This is a great machine I was concerned at first reading some of the reviews but after receiving the machine I'm truly pleased. I've had it for 2 months now very quiet, great capacity and good features. Don't be scared buying this machine it works great!!! Two thumbs up!!!

Bought this machine to replace my old Maytag that I bought in 1990. This machine has no agitator for clothes to get wrapped around, will wash quilts easily & senses how much water to use. I love that it's energy star certified. Only downfall is the machine is so deep I have a little trouble getting the last clothes out.

Love it, can fit anything in tub. If you are under 5'2", you might need a stool to reach the bottom of tub. It's deep! QuiET and easy too use.

Good washing machine with extra large capacity. I like that because I do alot of laundry. Alot of jeans and sweet shirts. Other high efficiency machines I have used seem to struggle with cleaning these. Items. So far this machine has done a great job. The cons. Two things. First it's big. My wife is five foot and she cant reach the cloths on the bottom of the machine. Second the start button takes getting used to. It's very touchy. You have to hit it in the right spot or it just beeps at you

This is a great washer. It holds a TON of clothes and gets everything quite clean. This is the first machine that I've owned that doesn't have the visible agitator in the center, and so it's easy to ruin delicates like underwire bras on the more aggressive spin cycle.

Great product! Does the job quietly and efficiently! It looks great and is easy to use. Can't complain about the huge capacity! Don't buy Samsung appliances as they will break down in less than 5 years (I personally know of 2 washing machines and 2 refrigerators that broke down on their owners)!

This washer is obscenely large which is great if you have a large family like ours.. In theory it is only 1.5 cu ft bigger than the front load we replaced but it seems much bigger. Not the most feature packed unit at this price but in theory you get some great reliability and it is obscenely large.. I would've rated 5 stars 4 days ago but I came home from work to hear it isn't finising the cycle right; after full spin cycle the clothes are coming out dripping wet. The geek squad are all over it (BB is really trying to separate themselves from competition with enhanced customer service in the appliance area) but the washer isn't even a month old and I've got a new pump sitting in a box for the tech to install in a couple days (total down time = 4 days including a weekend and part of it is due to our unavailability during an earlier slot). So clearly BB is standing by the product which is great but already a little concerned this washer, which CR rated as among most reliable, might be a dud..hopefully it's nothing more than a fluke..

This is a Great unit. So far works flawlessly, runs quiet (for a washer) and does a great job with the clothes. Capacity is excellent! Can easily handle many towels and blankets. I've only had it a month but have run it pretty good since I got it. A quality machine

Very large top loading washer. Almost too large. My wife loves it. Only negative is how deep it is, even for me it is a little difficult to pull clothes from the bottom. But this washer can handle quite the load. Other than that, very satisfied. Easy to use.

Machine is easy to use and cleans clothes great. What I like the most you can control the cycles you want dont have to wait for a program to run. Very quiet, I sometimes forget machine is running. Recommended for everyone

Well, to start with, what a beauty! It looks sensational. I love it that you can look through the window on the lid to see exactly what's going on in this giant tub. The tub is so deep, I've been able to load it up with my king size puffy quilt, and it comes out CLEAN as a whistle. I am very happy with my new washing machine. It does just exactly what it says it will do and plays pretty music while you're communicating with it. It really does get the grimiest clothes clean too. My husband gets REALLY dirty. I'm talking about oil and grease dirty. Even his work clothes look better than they ever have when I've tried to wash them in the past with what I thought was a great washing machine. So I just can't say enough good things about this washer. I love it, and it's pretty to boot!

We bought this machine right after our son was born. we needed a larger capacity. It got really loud (like an airplane was taking off from my laundry room) after a few years and now, 5 years later, it will not work. The error code mentioned a shifter error. When you look up parts for shifter, Maytag advised a part that wasn't even on the machine and their service line was zero help. They even quoted me the wrong price to have a service person come look at it. A bit more googling and i found the correct part and replaced it. It started working but was still loud. A month later it stops working again. The Maytag Customer Service was the worst and more frustrating part of the whole situation. I wasted more time just trying to reach a person with the company through phone, web and text than it took me to replace the part. They did not appear to care. For that reason, I'll never buy another Maytag.
