HOWEVER, another problem was that it was way too deep a washer for a short person. I went with a front loader instead. Great service with Best Buy sales people and delivery people.

Maytag was unable to find a "certified" repair person that could come out in under a month to service the washer under warranty. Consequently, we had to come out of pocket to have the washer fixed on a timely basis. Before buying, Google Maytag service reviews...I was pretty surprised. I would not buy another Maytag brand appliance.
