It is a energy and water saver, but I think it needs to use more water or at least have a option to use more water to at least cover the clothes

But I've heard that is a tradeoff you make when buying a high-efficiency washer. Seems like a clothes washer should do the whole job.

After 2 months it stated making a horrific noise. I was told the max amount of large bath towels should be 3-4, jeans 2-3 pair. There is only 2 of us in the house. I do laundry frequently. My previous washer with an agitator never overloaded. If I wanted to do extremely small loads of laundry I would not have purchased a 5.3 cu ft. washer. My exact model with an agitator has not been a problem at all.
