We've had this machine for a little over 5 years. Our family has always preferred Maytag products and this machine is just another reason why. Even though we have had some issues after 5 years, the machine still deserves 5/5 stars. The bowl is massive. You can wash all your standard loads and then the heavy loads, including a king size comforter. The audio is pleasant and it just looks nice.

I do like this washer. I purchased the set. I had problems with the dryer. It would turn itself on and off. Luckily it was the same day they dropped it off so they came and swapped it out. Fast forward a few months later the washer starts doing the same thing. We narrowed it down to the oxi clean button. We called Bestbuy and they forwarded us to the Maytag company and the to the company who comes out and fixes them. He listened to my complaints and said that there was something wrong with the panel and that it was a trend with these machines. One thing that is a flag that I would look out for is low water on deep fill. Sometimes our clothes would still be dry in some spots. We also cloth diaper so it was very annoying trying to figure out a wash routine. But now that we have it saves us detergent. Overall I love this washer. The start up and panel issue is my only complaint. But the company they have contracted out to fix them are highly knowledgeable and they make up for the technical issue.

This is my third HE washer. Best Buy matched the price that the home improvement store wanted. I even received a rebate on this washer. This washer replaced a 4 year old Maytag washer that had water on it from a overflowed washer above my floor.. This washer is a 5.3 cubic foot size which is close to my original Maytag that was 5.0 cu. ft. The original washer spin speed was 1200rpm while this unit spins at 850 rpm. One major fault I have with the unit is that it does NOT have any settings for colors or whites. This unit only has NORMAL setting. Not sure why they do not have those settings for colors or whites on the washer like my 4 year old Maytag which I loved to use! Also when I used the setting or cycle guide BEDDING the washer kept trying to fill the washing machine with water to clear the unbalance load. No indication on the unit that it has a unbalanced load. I had to shut off all of the water supply and drain the washer and sort out the wet bedding and run the wet bedding on the Rinse and Spin cycle. I only put two sets of king size bedding. Be careful on how you load this washer. I used a furniture pads on the washer feet so I could move it from the wall easier. Make sure the washing machine is level. I did purchase a 5 year Best buy warranty.

I did love this washer at first. It worked well and was easy to use. We do have a large family, it did get a lot of use. But that is what I choose this specific machine to do. ( Work like a Maytag and last many years.) At not even 2 years old my machine began to be very loud. After being on the customer service help line for HOURS I was scheduled with a repairman. He didn't show up. I called back 3 different times to be put on hold for hours with same experience, no repairman contact as promised. Finally a very helpful customer service person got me in touch with the repairman. They were able to tell me the machine needs new bearings the price to have it fixed is more than the machine is worth. This back and forth with Maytag and repairman took 6 weeks. I am beyond frustrated, it used to be Maytag products lasted forever. When you purchased a Maytag you knew it would be a great product and last many years. So now at less than 2 years I am having to purchase a new machine. I know one thing it will not be another Maytag. I hope I can help someone else who is deciding if this is the right machine to purchase for them.

No separate spin cycle. Sometimes clothes are still wet for some reason and you have to complete rinse cycle all over. Also glass separated from the door.

I have owned this washer for 5 years and it is awesome. It has a very large capacity and can wash the largest loads and gets them clean. I would recommend this to everyone

We just LOVE our new washer from Maytag! If you read all directions and follow them, everything comes out clean and smelling great! Don't let those bad reviews scare you away from this washer. They had me almost cancelling my order! So glad I didn't. The installers from Best Buy were the bomb! Quick and thorough on operating instructions! A++++++ washer!

WE love our new Magtag washer but we now realize that we bought one that is too large for two people plus the drum is so deep it is hard to reach to get the clothes out.

The drum in this thing is huge. it handles bedding like a champ. Some setting make the wash time really long

We had to replace our washer and went with another Maytag because I really liked the Maytag that started giving us problems. I loved the fact that you could now get it with the agitator so I was very excited about this new washer. The biggest problem with this new one is they made it a little narrower and taller. I am 5"2" and now I can't reach the bottom of the tub to get the clothes out. I have to have a step to get to it and it's still a struggle. I don't like where they moved the detergent and softener. It was at the top right side of the tub, but since the machine is now more narrow, there's no room. They moved it into a cheap plastic drawer that pulls out over the top of the tub. You have to be careful opening and closing and try not to break it. It still cleans the clothes very well, but not near as user friendly as the older model was. I would only recommend if you are tall with long arms.

7 years later and running as good as the day we bought it. Maybe no one sees this, but Maytag, in my experience, is as good and sturday as they get.

This washer may work ok for normal however for clothes that have been hard worked in forget it. Me, 190 lbs, DYIer, when over 80-90 degrees and I am working I sweat, the clothes I wash in this machine though seem clean but after only a few hours of wear start to smell unclean and if I start working forget it, I have to change shirts 2-3 times a day. Also socks have that dirty sock smell when drawer is full or after wearing for a few hours. I know I sweat when I work but have NEVER had this problem in a standard, fill tub with alot of water, soap then rinse with alot of fresh water. Maybe all of these water saving washers are like this, perhaps if I wash all clothes twice but really??

No power after 3 years use - ? Circuit board or other electrical equipment failure

Have had both good and bad experiences with a product that was sold to me. I have purchased washers, dryer and refrigerator from this Company. Great to deal with. Only 1 Item is defective and still under factory warranty. The Maytag Commercial washer MVW7232HWO is useless.Most of use do mixed loads when we do laundry. This machine per the Maytag repair will only accept towels, jeans etc but you cant combine them as the machine will rock and roll across your floor. Even though it is a large tub, don't put any king size sheets or light blankets together in it, I was told by repair. If I knew I could not wash all my darks with other darks to get a full load I would have never purchased that model. Repair has been out twice already and it looks like my life is now waiting for the Maytag man. Cant use the machine until the new parts come in. If you have a job like me, forget fast service as you will have to change your life around to accommodate Maytag. One tech I called myself as I needed to see if I could get this fixed quicker and just pay it out of pocket said that product I bought is a bad design and it will always be a problem for me. Thanks Maytag for the terrible job you do! I wish I could donate this piece of crap, but since it doesn't work, no one wants it even though I bought the 5 year extended warranty and its still under factory warranty.

We purchased the Bravos XL 4 years ago and have not been impressed with its cleaning or durability. Many times the clothes would come out with residue on them so we switched to liquid detergent. My son's white baseball pants had to be washed several times in order for them to come out clean, but not the whitest white even with pre-treating and scrubbing. Then, the detergent dispenser completely corroded, and hung lopsided. Now, the machine is broken and the estimated repair is $500, and may keep increasing once the repair begins. One positive is that the tub is huge and can fit comforters.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. We purchased this washing machine and paid for the installation at the time of purchase from Best Buy. Unfortunately, had we known what was to come from the delivery and installation, we would have picked up the washing machine and installed it ourselves. When the delivery men were switching out the old washing machine for our new one, they obviously didn't know what they were doing because: 1) The man removing the water hoses from the wall forgot to shut the water off before we reminded him that he had to. 2) When he did finally shut off the water line and removed the hose from the cold water line, he busted the pipe of the cold water line inside and water was spilling everywhere. Water went all over the floor, and honestly the only thing this man did that seemed helpful was clean it up. The man then proceeded to say our pipe had been broken and he was unable to connect the washing machine for that reason, as if no one was there to witness him causing the damage. His partner who walked in on the incident then went on to say, "Oh we have to go, there's nothing more we can do here", and the two left. Now, we do not have any running water in our house to meet our basic hygienic needs because we had to shut off all the water going through the house. We have called Best Buy to make this complaint with there department that handles these claims, but the case manager handling our claim is moving so sloth like, it seems there's no urgency with our situation. We tried following up with him to get a claim number so we can get running water in our house and try to move forward with our claim, but it seems like the case manager is trying to avoid us and our situation. This is really an unbelievable and horrendous experience. All anyone can say is, "I understand your frustration..." No, these employees don't because no one understands that we can't use the restroom, wash our hands, shower... The worse delivery experience ever Best Buy!
