We've had this washing machine for a little over 3 years and it stopped working due to many electrical issues. We have had minor issues throughout the years up until this point I want to add. I just had a repair company come out to fix the issue. He told me it would cost over $600 for the repair. I'm going to purchase a new one because it's not worth repairing it. I also noticed that this machine never really cleaned my clothes very well. Very disappointed!

How bad can a washer be, I mean really? Well this one is so bad I'ld rather wash by hand. It is so deep it's uncomfortable to unload and I'm 5'9". All it does is twist and mangle the close together with out ever getting them clean, thereby damaging my clothes. The lack of water level does not rinse out the soap so darks come out with white soap marks all over. Even the deep wash for comforters with deep water wash was a complete mess! The dark glass lid does not allow you to see the water level, or lack of water I should say. The locking lid is a pain for last minute add in items. Extremely disappointed with this washer.

Berrings went out within 2 years. The cost to repair was nearly the same as just buying a new washer

Machine runs through the rinse cycle many times trying to balance. Clothes are loaded as recommended in the manual and not overloaded. I have to unplug it to get it to stop it from refilling and rinsing endlessly. Huge water waster. Plus there is no spin cycle, you are forced to fill and agitate first. Also no quick cycle. Laundry takes ages to do

Stay away from this washer. It currently has a good rating on many websites but it does not clean well at all. We have had this for 2 weeks and returned it for front load washer. These new top load no agitater washers clean the same as putting clothes and soap in a sink and then draining it out. All dark clothes come out with soap still on them. We tried everything the manual said and still had the same results.

Did not clean clothes. Did not last 4.5 years. Planned obsolescence. Made to reside in a landfill. HE does not allow for clean clothes. Maytag is no longer the quality product it was once synonymous with. Made by whilpool, which is just a cute name for "garbage".

We purchased this machine on 1/23/20. Three months later the problem began... Wash Cycle taking 3hrs to run, clothes still soaked; We had to run the Drain and Spin Cycle; Called Maytag and scheduled service. Service Tech. told me we can only fill the machine 1/3 of the way and had to use specific cycles if we wanted the water to fill above the clothes. I bought this machine because of the size of the tube and my large family. This defeats the purpose of my purchase. I have done exactly what the technician told me to do and we continue to have the same problems. I spend four days washing clothes that should only take one day. I have a tech. coming again on Friday and hopefully, they resolve this issue. I have read a lot of reviews with the same problem, too bad I didn't read them prior.

13.5 months into owning this Unit and the control board burns out.... Maytag says there's nothing they can do because their "warranty is up" this is a LEMON product. To have someone come replace the control board is going to cost me $400.00 !!! Why in the world would I spend $400 to fix it when that's more then half of what this is being sold for brand new in the store. Just for what? So it can happen again?? Will NEVER buy a Maytag product again. Extremely disappointed with the quality. Also.. we are not a huge family I am not constantly running the washer, just regular weekly use.

DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER UNLESS YOUR CLOTHES DONT GET DIRTY!Never had a washer that cost this much and this big that you have to wash your clothes twice to get them clean and some of the clothes dont ever get wet. i returned this and got a front loader. gave 2stars because of bestbuys good customer service, they took care of me.

I purchased this unit just 15 months ago. Went down to do laundry today and the control panel just will not respond. It won't turn on at all! I tried all the normal stuff, different outlet, unplugging/replugging it in etc. Just won't turn on. Called customer service and gave them my serial number. They verified it was purchased just 15 months ago. The problem is it is a very limited 1-year warranty. Needless to say, I am buying a new one and would NEVER buy a Maytag again. Obviously, they don't stand behind their products.

I would never advise anyone to purchase this machine. I bought it at the Best Buy in Acworth Georgia. Honestly, I cannot believe this machine is even on the market. Mine doesn't clean the clothes as they don't smell clean after washing for over and hour and it has ruined several shirts by tangling them so badly that they are stretched out of shape. Shame on Maytag for not recalling this machine and replacing with a cheaper machine that actually works. I have had Maytag machines for years that were great...BUT THIS ONE IS A LEMON IN MY OPINION.

After two years of ownership, the machine began agitating violently, moving across the floor! After that, it stopped spinning, and could no longer be used. The repair technician said that repairs would cost over $600, and it would be better to purchase a new one. He said stay away from Maytag. The quality isn't what it used to be. The Maytag Repair Man isn't lonely anymore.

The washer was purchased Feb of 20. After a bit over 2 years of use it is junk. This unit was advertised as a low water use with no agitator to damage the clothing. It should be tagged as low water use and no agitator so your cloths don't get clean. Another problem was that the tank is so deep my wife had to use a pair of tongs to reach the bottom to remove clothing. (Our bad, we should have checked before buying.) The finial end came when the left side lid hinge housing broke. I called Maytag to inquire how much a new lid would cost. I was appalled the cost of a new lid would be over $500 which is two thirds of the cost of a new unit. We bought a replacement unit and sent this pile of junk to the recycle center.

Washer quit working after 3 years will not turn on. $600 to replace board which seems to be an ongoing problem with this model

Absolutely the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned! I would give this pair a rating of zero stars if I could. The washer does not wash clothing properly, leaving everything dirty, hardly wet and leaves a horrible residue on our clothes (despite cleaning it with Afresh as recommended). The dryer doesn’t dry the clothes properly and constantly cuts out. Also, clothes are left smelling horrible. I have tried multiple detergents and still nothing works. I literally hate this washer and dryer and will NEVER purchase another Maytag product as long as I live!

so disappointed with this machine, initially i was extremely excited about the capacity because it does hold an amazing size load but thats it. the water level like other disappointed customers is a huge problem for us, it doesn’t clean our clothes efficiently because of it so the amazing capacity is useless. i washed my pillows, 2 at a time (which i was easily, efficiently able to do with our last, smaller washer) and if you can see in the picture the only part of the pillow that was cleaned was the bottom portion of the pillow that was sitting in the water. i don’t understand how this machine has so many decent reviews.

Does not get clothes clean. Does not add enough water. Large area but can only wash small loads due to amount of water.

Will not buy Maytag anything ever again. Regret this purchase. The washing machine does not use enough water and it ruins your clothes. Opted for top loader because I didn't want to deal with the mold issues with a front loader. Horrible washer and waste of money. Honestly, the old washing machines with a full agitator and not high efficiency cleaned my clothes better and didn't ruin them.

This machine does not clean clothes. It leaves a residue on the garments. I have tried different temperatures, detergents, settings and have not been able to get one load that I have not had to wipe my garments with towels to remove a linty substance off the clothes. I have had the machine replaced and then the mother board on the new machine replaced to no avail. I am hoping Best Buy will honor their agreement to replace this model with something that does clean clothes.

This washer is terrible! We hate it! Just wish we had let Best Buy know sooner, so I guess we're stuck with it. It doesn't clean well. Makeup still on washcloth, dark clothes have to be rinsed 2 or 3 times to get the white soap residue off. Everything is super wrinkled so much so that wrinkle control on the dryer doesn't help. This isn't a good washer!
