My MIL bought this for the house and let me tell you, big loads do not wash in this machine. Anything more than maybe pnats and 7 shirts just comes out still dirty. We have a lot of undergarments and it takes at least 3 loads to do them. The machine can fit the load but the load is NOT clean afterwards. Laundry day takes all day in our house. What should be 4 loads has be turned into 10. This machine is quite disappointing

I was so excited when this washer came and it was so beautiful I could not wait to do laundry. I put a small baby blanket in it and a few other things and they all had the same dirt spots that I put them in with so I changed the setting to deep wash and a extra rinse nothing changed I am so disappointed I’m washing clothes in the sink first before the washer and now I don’t have money to buy another washer I should have returned it right away no it has been over 10 days this it the worst machine I have ever see.

Would love to give this higher rating, but after 3 years its “totaled” Actually 2yrs and 11 months I changed from LG to Maytag thinking it would last, so disappointed. Maytag does not stand behind their product, so if you make the same mistake I did purchase a best buy warranty...you’ll need it.

We purchased this from best buy and 15 months later the interface has completely died / logic board has died - no buttons work, unable to diagnose or test and no warranty coverage at all. Was quoted 750$ to fix from Maytag after 15 months of ownership. Not worth it, steer clear of this product.

This washer stopped working after 2.5 years. The repairman just left a quote of $600 to repair this machine. The shifter went bad, the drum seal is bad, the gear case needs replaced, the wash plate and drum need replaced. Ugh...what happened to appliances lasting more than a few years?

I always have a very difficult time starting it. Often it just keeps beeping at me when I press the start button but never starts. Now I cant even get if off the "Delicate" cycle my wife last used. When I try and change it, it just does its infernal beeping. Even unloaded/reloaded it, but same unhappy results. I will not use this machine ever again which puts an extra workload on my wife!

So my whirlpool duet steam dryer died so decided to buy an entire new set. Wish i hadnt selected this one. It does a crappy job. My two year old has been sick and this does not wash the bedding well at all. I hate this machine. And there is no short setting im guessing because it barely cleans anything at the regular length setting DO NOT BUY THIS!! missing my frontloader.

The top door at the hinges broke 2 times in 9 months. Bad design of product and material. Not worth the time I had to spend on calling in for repair. Washer should of lasted twice as long with no issues. Brand name has gone down on my list for recommendations.

Bought this washer 9/20/18 and it stopped working already on 12/15/18. It’s not draining and now will not even turn on! Already need to have service come out on Tuesday! How does a 3 month old machine already need a repair!? The dryer is no better. Every load needs to be dried twice! Wish I could send both back! Completely disgusted with Maytag! Total garbage!

I purchased this washer with the matching dryer 12/15/15. Now on 12/20/17 two years later the washer plate in the bottom is busted and wil cost $400 to repair. It tangled up all your clothes and the large wash cycles take an hour and a half. Don’t waste your $600!! I’m now investing in a Speed Queen.

Lid hinge keeps breaking and washer doesn't clean very well, doesn't use enough water, doesn't rinse well either. This washer I my opinion should have been recalled.

Absolutely Horrible!!!! I can't say what I want about these because of best buys "censorship". Washer has broken twice, in just over a year, doesn't clean clothes well and leaves them in huge tangle. I wasted A LOT of money on these machines. They aren't worth their weight in scrap.

This washer is awful! Our clothes come out stained and not clean. I have had so many clothes ruined! Called a technician, he said run afresh through it and only use HE soap. He proceeded to tell us about all the problems they have seen with this machine. I have resorted to washing my nicer clothes at the laundry mat until we can figure out what to do.

This washer does not adequately move clothing around and cannot handle large loads. It will attempt to agitate, then drain and go to the rinse cycle. Sometimes it will go through a whole wash cycle without getting all the clothing wet. Wish I had my recalled Samsung back. It might explode, but at least it did a great job of cleaning clothes.

Not happy at all had this washer about a year and the smell it developed is awful. I've done everything to get it out and can't!! I've seen videos of people taking it apart to clean but afraid to do that. Don't get it, it had a design that promotes mold it's awful!!!

10 minutes into the wash cycle and the clothes on the top are still dry! There's no way they are getting washed if they aren't getting wet. The place I bought it from has already "fixed" it once with no change. The rinse cycle is just as pathetic. BUYER BEWARE THIS WASHER DOES NOT WASH YOUR CLOTHES!

The Maytag top-loader is HORRIBLE! It does not fill with enough water and we have to add several buckets of water to make it clean anything. It is crap and it is new!! Follow the reviews and never buy this machine.

Highly disappointed. We have to take out half the clothes mid load and set it to rinse and spin to even get our laundry done.. ridiculous junk

It only took me a week to realize this machine was not cleaning the clothes. Stay away from the impeller; it's a joke. I exchanged it after 15 days for a GE 4.5 cu ft. washer with an agitator. My clothes and I are happy now. Best Buy reps were really great about the exchange.

I have to fight with the machine to get it to start. The button is labeled, "Hold to start", and it does not react. After 4-5 tries, and hurting my fingers, it starts. This machine sucks for that reason.
