Electronics Failed After 3 Years

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Does not wash clothes!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.No matter what you put in this "commercial washer", or how much clothing you put in it, you get about an inch or so of water at the bottom of the "high capacity" drum. The "agitator" does not move the clothing at all (except maybe what is at the very bottom). Everything comes out with lint/scum marks. I tried every cycle - no success. I wish I would have watched the Youtube videos posted about this machine prior to buying it. It's a total joke and does not wash your clothes! There is NO way this machine can get a 4.4 out of 5 stars review rating! I can't help but wonder if these reviews are on a prior year's model. Don't be fooled by the "Maytag" name - Whirlpool has wrecked it!

Maytag Not What It Used To Be

This thing is trying so hard to be energy efficient it is actually inefficient. We now use twice as much water washing clothes than ever before. The biggest problem is the machine does not use enough water to rinse correctly. We now have to wash then run the machine a second (sometimes 3 times) through a rinse & spin cycle. What a waste of water, thanks Maytag for running my water bill higher and being environmental unfriendly.

Posted .Bradas, we thank you for your review and we are sorry that you are unhappy with the design of the Washer. The Department of Energy standards state how much water any water-based appliances can use, and our Washers meet all of their stringent guidelines. We would recommend balling up the clothing similar to the size of a soccer ball and place around the wash plate one at a time. You would next stack it up so it is around the sides, and the wash plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not fill up past the 2nd to the last row of holes in the basket to help avoid overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting. We will be sure to note your concerns.

My washer is in the garage and I can hear the loud thumping noise all the way in the back of the house. Does it a few times through cycle. Will call for repair guy to come out. This can’t be normal.

Terrible washing machine.

The detergent sits in the clothes and when you pull the clothes out they are packed in a ball with detergent marks all over them. Worst washing machine I have ever had. Also, the smell never goes away! Doesn’t drain and stinks all the time.

Certified Lemon

After TWO loads this machine was already showing error messages that required servicing. Also now another error message is poping up saying that there are issues with the lid lock. And I thought that since it was an American company it would at least work. Definitely returning it and exchanging it for a different brand
