dryer does not dry clothes

I looked at the dryer vent and discovered that when Best Buy installer installed the dryer he smashed the air vent! Therefore, dryer is not getting the circulation it needs to dry. help!!!

Did it work when installed. Never got hot

two years old and not working,not good

never Shopping there again.

Dryer did not dry

DOES NOT DRY

We thought the plumber who reinstalled (after best buy’s 3rd party installer’s careless error) had failed to turn gas on. He comes back and says everything is fine, dryer just takes long to heat up. I originally thought it couldnt be a problem with the dryer “its new” but, i noticed clothes were still damp after a long cycle (frustrating). So, I made sure i set it to 60 minutes, assuming by then the medium size load of clothes would be dry. I come back to have super damp clothes still in the dryer after ONE WHOLE HOUR! i had to turn it on again! Waste of gas and electricity! Doing double the laundry! I’ve only had it for a little over a week, but, have used it handful of times due to having to shut off gas because of original installer’s carelessness! I came here to see if others had the same issue with this particular dryer and sure enough. Waste of money! My very old dryer dried way better than this! Will be contacting bestbuy monday morning! I do not recommend this model, save yourself the frustration! Very upset, I have a large family with constant laundry, having to do double drying is unacceptable. Shame on maytag!

Maytag Regrets
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation of Model: MGD6230HW on 10/26/2021 Replaced one 20+ years old. Only flaw with it was it stopped shutting off. If you have experienced this problem, please advise. New Maytag does not dry in one cycle. It takes multiple cycles on high heat and power button to dry a simple load of light cottons. So frustrating and costly. Thought the Made in America choice was the right thing to do!

dryer doesn't dry

Not sure if I will buy again from store.

awful dryer

Luckily, I paid to have the Geek Squad protection plan and they replaced it. Less than a year after the motor broke again. Now, I have to buy a new dryer.
