Maytag - 7.0 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer with Extra-Large Capacity - White

This gas dryer meets all my expectations. It is very quiet and dries everything n less time than our previous one. I especially like the extended wrinkle control.

I have had such terrible luck with appliances. Especially with all the "bells and whistles" they just end up turning into more complications down the road which is what happened in my case. General rule of thumb is if it has a LCD panel and a ton of extra features, that's just more opportunity for something to break. I longed for the days of a simple machine that washes and dries my clothes. I went with this because it's Maytag. My parents have had the same Maytag washer/dryer combo for 20+ years while I went through 3 Samsungs, Whirlpool "state of the art" laundry equipment. You want dry clothes, get this.

I replaced a 20 yr old Maytag electric dryer with this gas one. The controls are easy to understand and I like the larger door and interior light. However I have found that it just doesn't get really hot. It gets quite warm, but not hot. I'm guessing some one decided to ramp down the heat to be more energy efficient, but the net result is that I have to run the dryer twice as long to get clothes dry. Oh and beware - for some reason Maytag decided to make the top slope down instead of flat so if you were use to storing detergent or folded clothes on top of your old dryer, as soon as you turn this one on, the gentle vibrations of the dryer tub spinning will scoot everything off the top onto the floor.

Nice dryer. Large size drum. Good features. Dries well on energy preferred setting too. I just wish the cycle control sensor knob "clicked"at each choice like the other buttons do. It seems as if I am forcing it to move to the cycle I choose. IT is very tight. it does go through the cycle however. I just wish I knew if that is normal . TIME WILL TELL. nowhere in the manuals did it say turn clockwise or counterclockwise.

This dryer is awesome and dries very well and efficiently. My boy left a yellow crayon in his pocket that I unfortunately missed when checking his clothes before washing. The dryer ended up getting yellow all over the drum and after using a magic eraser most of the yellow has since come off and the coating on the drum and dryer and held up great with no signs of wear or peeling or anything. This dryer is great and the options for the drying cycles is good for me I did not want one of those super expensive and in my opinion rather unnecessary options the others have. I did not like how at the end of the sale they nickel and dime you for every little thing like the hoses.

This dryer is nice and big. However, the product dimensions for the depth (28-1/4") are incorrect on the product page. The depth is approx. 3 inches longer. This was a hassle trying to install because I had purchased this model specifically for the depth. Before purchasing, make sure to verify the correct depth with the manufacturer to avoid headaches like I had.

This is the perfect dryer for my wife and myself. I have used all the fancy models at my daughters house for years with all the latest functions and most work great . For an older couple like us, this Maytag is terrific and does a great job. The only thing I notice is that the lint filter does not catch as as much lint as driers we have had in the past. We have used this dryer for over a year now and it just what we needed

I’, 81 years old. Been through many a w and D. Finally you came with one with all the features from the 80’s. Buzzer to let you know the clothes are dryer. A separate temp button and then I can choose the timed feature or the dryness factor. Please keep making the simple to use dryers. All the electronic buttons can be to confusing
