I purchased the microwave about 6 months ago. I went with the Maytag name thinking that it would be a good sound microwave. The physical appearance looks fine, and the turntable works great, but the fan noise is terrible. Its so loud, it interferes with normal conversation in the kitchen. At first I thought something was wrong with the fan since it was so loud, but then realized there is nothing wrong, it is just loud. Also the light under the microwave is useless. Its not even bright enough for a night light. Yesterday my wife was cooking in the microwave, and it just died. It lost power and shut down. My suggestion, would be to find a different model. I'm not sure how the other Maytag units are, but this one is not living up to its name.

Thought Maytag was a good product. 1st fan started kicking on and off all hours, then microwave wouldn't work for more than 7 seconds. Called Maytag certain parts under warranty for 5 years, but didn't know wthout service call if what was broken was under warranty. I wouldn't recommend this product even if it were free.

This is an ok microwave oven. My Sharp Micowave went out, so we replaced it with this one. When installing, we found one of the screws was not the right one, so I was pleased that they sent out a Maytag repariman to replace that.

We had a countertop Microwave that recently died so we decided to replace it with an over the range one. We did a little research and found the Maytag and pretty much went with it becuase of the name. First of all when we went to install it we found the holes on the templat did not match up with the wholes in the microwave. After we got it istalled I went to thaw a chicken breast and it overheated and died within 8 minutes. After it died I went back online and did a lot more research and found out that this has happened to quite a few people. Needless to say we returned it for a differant brand.

I am having my kitchen done over by a contractor. He told me to go buy a microwave to be installed over the range. My range is a Maytag and I am very happy with it so my wife and I were very happy to see the matching microwave (Maytag) for sale at Best Buy. I worked for Amana for 12 years and I know they were bought out by Maytag. I also have a washer and dryer made by Maytag. I am very happy with all the Maytag appliances and also with Best Buy.

this is the best idea man made finally gives me more space on counter I can see my table again. now everything keys wallets sun glasses etc go on counter now where microwave use to be. In 1 day i just couldn't tell enough people about it at work the space saving is great.

I really like this mircrowave. I bought it because I went from a white range to a black one. It does everything I need it to. It isn't expensive and does the job while looking good. I am not sure there is anything else I need it to do.
