I bought this unit because I need a CD/radio to fit into a small space, It is perfect for that purpose but the CD player was always a bit questionable... felt like it may give out at any moment. After exactly three months of moderate use (a few hours per day for 3 days a week - in my office) the CD player would no longer turn or play a CD. I tried to clean the lens but to no avail. I contacted Memorex but their refurbished unit company said that they could not support my unit after 30 days. I am actually buying another one because of its unique size and will hope that it lasts a bit longer. If the second one gives out I will not buy another Memorex product.

This Memorex CD Clock Radio is a great buy, as long as it is not used extensively. We use for travel purposes, and normally sets on top of a night stand in a spare bedroom. This unit is not to be given to younger children as the CD portion has to be handled with gentle care. The sound works great for its size and price. We enjoy it a lot, and take special care when it's in use. We are quite satisfied of the product for the amount of the purchase.

This somewhat oddly shaped unit results from the decision to play CDs in a nearly vertical orientation.This produces a compact device, but one on which the controls are slanted away from the user, certainly the user lying down in bed, anyway. The controls themselves are a bit odd, but they do the job. The radio sensitivity is good, the sound is fine, and the display is big. Input and output jacks are a plus. Although the device looks top-heavy, it really is quite stable. At this price, it’s a steal.

This refurbished CD Clock Radio definitely exceeds my expectations for the price that I paid for it. It has a great sleek look, great sound quality. Perfect for my son's room!

The slim design of this Memorex is convenient and the 3 wake-up options are great. I love the buzzer wake-up so I'm not startled awake.

I love that it has an output for my headphones. I can be in my cubicle listening to whatever that I want. I play my cd or listen to the radio. Great choice and excellent price..

I bought this from Best Buy and love the way it looks. I has a battery back-up with radio, cd and alarm to wake you up. I bought it for $15.00 with free shipping. I think it's worth it even if only works a year or so - although I've only had it about six weeks. The cds sound good but the radio leaves a bit to be desired. And it looks brand new even though it's refurbished - hence the low price. I really like the modern chrome look. Looks great on my nightstand.

Reconditioned item seems to work fine except for he A.M. stations have alot of static and sometimes don't come in at all.

Arrived as if it were brand new - if I hadn't known it was refurbished I would never have been able to tell the difference. Works great!

good, simple CD player/radio for a young child. Easy to learn how to use the CD player, great for timed music at nighttime when you don't want the radio playing all night long. Dimmer feature nice - clock numbers aren't too bright at nighttime.

I originally purchased this alarm clock/CD player because I wanted a blue display instead of red. Also, the price was right. No regrets. The display is a little brighter than I would like -- but you can read the numbers clearly in a dark room. Very pleased with the purchase.

I love this clock. I always use my cell as an alarm clock so I haven't used a real alarm clock in years. This one is absolutely worth the money. Its great to wake up to the music I want with the cd player. It has a nice design too. The sound quality isn't the best (it doesn't replace a stereo or anything) and I wish it has some soothing sounds to fall asleep to (waves, rain, etc) but for the money I paid this was way worth it. Thanks.

An excellent value for the money and very good performance for the dollar

On a Sony CD alarm clock settings buttons wore out, with Memorex model the only one available in my local retail outlet. Big mistake: volume control resets to low with tin sound at that. I am afraid to go to bed for fear of sleeping through work. My stupidity: threw-out my receipt. I went on-line to order another Sony CD alarm clock on which I could at least set volume with better sound quality. I bought my sister an RCA model, only one in another retailer. Also, big mistake for lack of sound quality. All of these are constructed with very cheap materials. However, $50 for a CD player is still cheaper than buying a iPod and iPod docking alarm system for around $200, the price of a good stereo system back in the day of record players.

Stopped working after 8 months of mild use. Wouldn't work plugged in or with batteries. Of course, the warrently expired quite awhile ago.

If I didn't know that this was a factory refurbished unit, I would have assumed it to be brand new. EXCELLENT buy!!

I ordered the CD Alarm Clock for a Christmas Present. It didn't work, but I liked the size and features, so I returned it to Sohnen for repair or replacement. The second time, I think that I got the same one that I returned with the same problem. I paid to return it again...this is two times that I paid for shipping. This last time (Now in March) I opened the Memorex Digital CD Alarm Clock to find that the clock now works... nothing else. Total Failure. My rating is minimal. It should be less as there never was any sound... Not for the CD, Radio or Alarm. I am temped to record the sound of it being slammed to the concrete garage floor. The Features as advertised are great... of course, none of them work sooo, one star is too much. Value for price, After paying more for the shipping than I paid for the Christmas Gift. Zilch! Not a good deal.
