I don't have enough time to play it, so far it's awsome, best one by far. Story is great , game play is amazing. Beenot doing lots of side missions to develop weapons that I want but slightly feels repetitive. Haven't got to much into the main missions , that could be part of it. The a.I keeps you on your toes and always changing there filed of combat, like things they wear or different equipment , helps with repetitive side opps

If you've played any MGS games before this, you know about the crazy blend between logical and over the top. One minute its all sneaking around, and them bam .. some villian with some crazy super powers (or something like it). Each game in this series tweaks the sneaking aspect, and this one is pure perfection. Its somewhat open to play, and open for anyone to pickup and play for the first time. I cannot recommend it enough.

he Good: +Amazing Presentation +Engaging Story, For the Most Part +A lot of different gameplay elements at hand +A lot of things to keep you busy. Several missions and side ops The Bad: -There might be a little too much to do. Metal Gear Solid V is amazing, but there's a lot of side ops and moments of padding. -The story is good, but doesn't quite have the emotional pull of the previous games in the series. The cutscenes are less about character building and more about plot exposition. Considering all the things Metal Gear Solid V wants to say, it's amazing that not more of these things are conveyed in the game amazing cinematics. Instead, much of what you learn in the plot and story is put to cassette tapes

The things you can do with this game is incredible. First of all, freedom and exploration is great. The story is amazing, the gunplay and graphics are top tier. This game was made from the heart, and you can tell from the start. This is a must buy for everyone. Though i feel like you have to know whats going on from the other games. You might feel lost with character names if your just starting out with metal gear.

I'm honestly kind of at a loss for a way to succinctly describe mgs5. It's very different from the previous mgs games, and all stealth games for that matter, as you aren't moving from set piece to set piece. Missions take place in "walled off" sections of the over all game map with objective scattered about for you to do. It's a very hands on game that minimally holds your hand through things. When you embark on a mission, it is up to you to do the recon, planning, prep work, and execution. Sneaking into the first outpost to extract intel to know where a prisoner was a lengthy process involving scouting patrol routes, planning my route accordingly, eliminating obstacles, sneaking into the radio room, and getting caught as there was a shift change and that I hadn't noticed and the radio operator was on his way to the barracks as I was slinking up the door to the radio room. Shenanigans ensued for sure. In my limited time playing, seems things are very fluid and the more time you spend preparing, the better things go. Also seems like things are well put together and solid as the only issues I've encountered were my own lack of preparation and my own boobery. No guards clipping through walls or seeing/hearing through hard walls. It's rough, but fair and satisfying in the end when you pull off flawless infiltrations... until you kick a door down and alert half the base...whoops...

    Hideo Kojima's Masterpiece

Man, this game is awesome! I haven't played any of the MGS games since Metal Gear on the PS1 so I was kinda lost in what was going on. But after a while, I didn't really care. The game play and open world was enough for me. There's so much to do in this game it'll keep you busy for hours, or at least until Fallout 4 comes out. I'm glad I decided to buy this instead of The Taken King.

Open-world gameplay adds a ton but tough as nails!

Main positives: +Tons to do. If you're liking this game, you'll have TONS of sidestuff to keep you busy for a long, long time. +The open world definetly adds a new twist to the old MGS formula. I'm very impressed with how smooth they've made it too. Main negatives: -Way harder than you'd expect based on past MGS titles. It can be absolutely infuriating due to how many enemies there are in the open spaces, how easy it is to get caught, the long multi-stage alarm process, and once you die, you start from the beginning of the area which could easily result in several hours working on one mission -Story seems very light and sporadic. Not much going on here.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is an open world game done right--you never feel restricted to playing one way. You can approach missions however you want, which makes the game really exciting. In addition to this, the graphics, sound design, and connectivity to Ground Zeroes make this a superb game. I've not played many other MGS games, so MGSV has been a great place to start.

After over 40 hours in the game, I'm a whopping 22% through. Unlike the other metal gear games, this game doesn't punish you for going in rambo style. I enjoy the stealth aspect very much, but it's nice to go in guns blazing every now and then. The graphics are amazing and there is plenty to do. The controls are also the best they've ever been. Snake no longer feels like a robot.

I'm not even a Metal Gear player - not having played any since the PS1 classic: Metal Gear Solid - and I love this game. It's everything the hype has said and more. You won't want to stop sending everything and everyone back to motherbase, and the fun you can have is endless. Missions can be accomplished in so many different ways, it truly is a real open-world game.

They could not have done a better job with this game. Yes, it is a shooter, but the upgrading of items and managing your base / soldiers really puts a new spin to the MGS franchise! It keeps you hooked, and makes you want to replay missions and utilize the open world game play to find resources and capture new guards for your arsenal. I highly recommend this game.

A Great Game to Finish a Great Series

I lay in the tall grass at night in a canyon in Afghanistan. The twenty or so Soviet soldiers at the camp in front of me are going about their business, some chatting, some smoking, some patrolling the area. I try to pin the location of each one so I don't run into any surprises later. I move silently and knock out little bunches of them at a time and extract them from the area to recruit for my own personal army. As I explore and gather resources I move towards the cave system that contains my objective. Little did I know, a guard from the inside was coming out and spotted me. I wasn't quick enough and he was able to call to his buddies and sound the alarm. Soviet soldiers swarmed out of the caves all gunning for me. I ran away hoping to lose them, and at the same time hit the trigger for several bunches of C4 I had planted earlier on the base's communications equipment and anti-air dish. With the comms cut, the soldiers realized they had no way to call in backup and resorted to shooting flares to light up the field and proceeded to bomb my last known position with mortar fire. When the smoke cleared I once again lay in the grass as soviet troops advance on my position, this time looking for me, doing their best to not let me sneak up on them again. This is Metal Gear Solid 5.

Metal Gear Solid V. Wow. What is there to say? As a huge Metal Gear Fan, Kojima did right with his finally entry. This game is absolutely amazing. I am currently 28% done, with 34 hours of gameplay. It is huge, fun, immersive, replayable. This is easily the best Metal Gear, which is fitting for the final TRUE entry by Hideo Kojima himself! 10/10, 5/5. Perfect!

I've played this series from PS1 and have always reserved a soft spot in my heart for anything MGS. This edition is gorgeous, and although the in-game mechanics are tried-and-true, the Red Dead Redemption-esque scavenger, open-world exploration is a nice touch. It can become obnoxious at times, but adds more value than it detracts from the overall game.

Metal Gear Solid V has been an amazing game. Its refinements of all controls, gameplay, and other aspects truly shows, and the story is enthralling and deep, yet nontraditional. If anyone has been a fan of the series in the past, this game will bridge many of the games together, while offering its own unique experience, full of twists, turns, and surprises.

So far, I've only played this game for about four hours, but it's been awesome so far. I like the open world (can be frustrating at times, but fun). The graphics are AMAZING! I have been a fan of the series since the 1st Metal Gear, so it's sad to see it come to an end. I highly recommend this game to anybody that is a fan of action games, or the series!
