Amazing game to say the least! Everything is well thought out and the amount of detail and effort put into this game is astounding... Most games have a great story but lack in gameplay due to the story being too linear. On the other hand some have amazing gameplay but from all effort put into the action, forgot about the story. This game has it all!

The graphics are amazing. Unfortunately however, the game tends to be repetitive. The open world is beautifully done, with reoccurring sandstorms to night and day, you are to believe you are actually apart of the game. The gameplay is great, the visuals are fantastic, but overall the campaign just falls short of good story telling. Expect to the spend hours doing the same missions over and over. Nonetheless if you have the time this game is good enough to recommend. With lots of upgrades and different ways to approach and accomplish your mission, the game gives a lot of variety.

It's a departure from the previous games in the series (excluding the bizarre story), but the gameplay is top-notch. The options available to you in these beautiful open world settings are staggering and you're rewarded no matter how you'd like to approach your objectives. It's a really long game too, so you definitely get your money's worth.

Beautiful graphics...huge world to explore...great gameplay. Whether you want to play as stealth or guns blazing, there are many side mission, main missions, and side objectives for you to tackle. Many hours will be lost playing this excellent game. No need to play the previous titles in the series to fully enjoy this one. A must buy!

    Far Cry 5 Solid

At first, I hated the game. The prologue is a bit painful and I was stuck with my camera not inverted making aiming difficult despite setting it before hand. Turns out if you press the bottom left of the touch pad it goes to the pause and settings menu. Right side or option and such are for features you get later. Keep that in mind if you need to adjust stuff. After that though and once you get into the main game suddenly it becomes one of the most fun sandbox games I've ever played. It is very similar to Far Cry. You are running around stealth attacking camps and things in a wilderness sort of area and occasionally capturing animals and such. However, you also capture your enemies and use them to upgrade your base to unlock new skills, weapons, etc. The game is far deeper than other MGS games as far as gameplay goes, yet so much so its hard to call a MGS game. Going for no kill missions and stealth is still the same just a little different. Bring the stun sub machine gun and you are set for life. I am curious to see how the story will go and if it will truly feel like a MG game in the end, but gameplay wise it has likely 100+ hours of content and plenty of fun to be had.

    Kojima's Masterpiece

I will say this, I wanted to get the collector's edition, but couldn't find it before it sold out, so had to settle for the First Day Edition. Anyways... Without a doubt, MGS is my favorite video game franchise of all time. I have bought next-gen consoles solely for these games. And it was the game I was anticipating the most for the last couple years. I would've waited to finish the game before leaving a review, but that could take forever, and who am I kidding, I don't need to wait to see how amazing this game is. It truly is a masterpiece, it's so beautifully and wonderfully crafted on every level. It will most definitely go down in history as one of the best games of all time. Should go without saying that the graphics are just mind blowing, the music is brilliant, and the gameplay, forget about it. I'm almost upset that I don't even feel like doing anything else, but play MGSV! There are so many levels to the game, levels that have levels that have levels. I'm only at like 5% completion and I've played over 10 hours. To go beyond my already ridiculously high expectations is a remarkable achievement. But honestly I expected no less from the master mind that is Kojima.

MGSV is a fleshed out continuation of Peace Walker and the overpriced, short, and somewhat underwhelming Ground Zeros. Unlike GZ, this game feels is an improvement in all ways to previous titles in the series. You have more room to plan your tactics for side or main missions than you do in Ground Zeros. Likewise, you have more weapons and strategies at your disposal. The graphics are outstanding and the controls are the best of any MGS title. The only negative is the story takes too much of a back seat to focus on the improved gameplay. Overall, I highly recommend this title.

    Game of the year

I honestly didn't plan on buying this game, but once I heard that this game was getting rated 10/10 by more than just a few well known websites I decided I was going to go into it blind. I really enjoy the game, the visuals are stunning, the gameplay is excellent, and the learning cure for the overall mgs storyline isn't bad at all. I've got over 12 hours into the game and there is only about 30 minutes worth of gameplay that confused me because of my lack of understanding for the series storyline (so many years since I've played mgs, and I've played all of the console ones.) Overall I feel that this game will win game of the year, it has such in depth gameplay, just upgrading your home base of operations and researching new items and weapons can occupy you for hours. I feel that this is a must buy for anyone interested in hardcore/casual shooters, splinter cell type games, etc. The BEST part about this game, in my opinion, is that you can go in guns blazing, or classic snake and finish the mission without ever killing anyone without feeling like you NEED to choose one or the other, konami really made it so that players have a choice this time around.

This Game Makes MGS Go Out With A Bang

This game is amazing. The story has been incredible so far, and the gameplay has been refined, taking elements from every MGS so far. Make no mistake, this is the final Metal Gear Solid, or at least the last one anyone will care about. This is the last time Hideo Kojima will ever make a MGS, and he made MGS go out with a bang.

Presentation, graphics, sound work, size of the open world, cut scenes are amazing. Hideo Kojima wanted to make the best MGS and I think he got it this time for sure. 20 hours in and I am having fun exploring and busting out missions. Even better the online portion hits in October and looks to have awesome gameplay as well.

I don't play games as much I once did but I cannot stop playing this game. Its great fun just to hop in on a side op or if you have time play one of the main story missions. I skipped the last installment in the series but don't feel like I'm missing a thing (this is set before those events). Great Graphics Great Controls

Don't think, do buy this game and it's easily Game of the Year. Sadly it's the last game in the MGS series and it does go out with a bang. The gameplay and story is great and well worth the 60 bucks. I have yet to touch the multiplayer aspect of the game. This game will sell like gangbusters this holiday season. Must buy.

Best Gameplay in the Series to Date

Hideo Kojima's swan song Metal Gear Solid game is one of the best in the series, if not THE best. The gameplay is fun, and can be played however you choose to approach each given situation. Whether you choose to play all stealth/no kill, or instead go in guns-a-blazing, you're going to have a ball doing it. And you're going to be playing this game for a long time. I myself have put in over 30 hours now and am only at 28% completion. My only complaint is the story is much less sparse this time around. Although, maybe that's not such a bad thing considering Metal Gear Solid 4 was more cutscene movie than game. If you're already a Metal Gear Solid fan, MGSV Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are a necessity to finish up the story of Big Boss and complete the saga. If you're new to the series, you might be a tad confused by what is going on. Maybe pick up the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection and brush up on the story or do some reading on the wiki so you have a better idea of what you're getting into. Regardless, you should play this. Few games pack in this much content in such a refined and fun package.

When you get a metal solid game you know you are in for a create experience, the graphics are stunning, the story is out there and its open world. This is what I expected when I bought the game and it is what I got. This game has more gameplay than the previous games with less cut scenes but still has plenty of story.

Had never played any of the Metal Gear Solid games previously, and finally had the opportunity. I have to say I will be enjoying a ton of fun hours within this incredible world. Smooth gameplay, beautiful graphics and cinematic scenes, a huge amount of game time, and an open world setting. Definitely worth picking up.

I can't put this game down. It feels vast, like The Witcher, but has enough sandbox elements to make each encounter feel different and interesting. I've only played MGS1 and MGS3, but despite the complex storyline, I'm having a blast. I highly recommend this one to ANY gamer as you aren't boxed in to playing one way.

A great way for Kojima to wrap up his time at Konami, despite what is happening behind the scenes! I love the action and story and consider this the finale of the heart of what makes MGS great. I look forward to see more from Kojima's new company!
