This is by far the best metal gear game i've ever played the amount of detail it has is incredible

Impressive in every single way. The desolation of the desert in the Middle East to the savannas in Africa, the scenery are very well done. The enemy AI reacts in very interesting and unexpected ways, Quiet is awesome. Voice acting is top notch.

The best part of metal gear is trying to sneak up on your enemies. This game is pretty awesome.

Overall a great game, better than I was expecting given the change of style from the main entries. Plays a lot like Ground Zeroes which isn't a bad thing. Much more expansive than I thought going into it, roughly 25 hours in and ~20% completed.

This is an excellent single player game! However the Metal Gear Online multiplayer is years behind in the multiplayer shooter style game genre. I became bored with it quickly and frustrated with the matchmaking problems and ultrashort matches.

The game is really fun and has great graphics. Would recommend this game to all my ps4 friends.

Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain is a best game of the year! We are finally learning what happened to Big Boss after Ground Zeroes and it was worth to wait for the game! You guys must play this game if you are a hardcore fan of MGS series!

All in all it is pretty good, just tends to be repetitive, especially early on in the game. The part in Afghanistan is also too labyrinthine. Open world concept is better handled in Africa. Graphics are a little brown for my taste as well. Game play is great. Love the array of weapons and the enemy response to tactics regularly used.

MGSV is nothing short of amazing! While the open-world can be a bit empty, the game makes up for it with the quality in every single other department. Fan of MGS? Don't pass this up! Fan of games in general? Don't pass this up either!

Metal Gear Games are great, been playing since MGS1 on PS2. This game takes it to the next level by setting Snake in an open-world (sandbox). You come up with the strategies and you decide what tactics to use to complete your objectives. Go in guns blazing or stealth mode? Take out key defensive security systems to disable lights and communications to the main base, extract prisoners in the confusion, and call for peaquod pick up when you've cleared the hot zone. Also offers online mode, but I haven't gotten to that yet.

This is the best Metal Gear game ever! Sweet plot, great graphics, solid controls and at nice price. It lives up to the classic series.

Pros: While I'm still playing, so far probably the 2nd best Metal Gear to date with MG 4 being my all time favorite so far. The good about Phantom, you need very little about the back story in order to enjoy. Cons: Story so far is abit lackluster, I know Konami created MG for new comers, but I feel almost nothing for Old Snake or Big Boss because of the lack luster story, and poor job tying previouse MG games.

Hideo Kojima and his team did it again. At the time of writing this I haven't gotten too far, but I'm already blown out of the water. This is an outstanding and very ambitious game that pulls it off very well. I definitely recommend!

MGS V is not a perfect game, but it's pretty great when it's not getting in its own way with a convoluted story or iffy design decisions. Infiltrating bases stealthily, scanning and fultoning everything that isn't bolted down rarely gets old, and it looks beautiful. The biggest problems the game has are its insistence on researching weapons/upgrades in real-time (meaning you buy an upgrade and it can take a couple hours to finish, and that clock is only running while you are playing the game), and the lack of mission variety. I would also say some of the openworldness of the game stales the longer you play, as it really only matters during side ops. The story (for me) was forgettable--but I feel that way about most video game stories. There are other minor issues I have with the game, but they don't detract from how fun it is. Overall, I was really impressed with how fresh it felt.

It's a great game for the people who used to play splinter cell and love sneaking around.

Im a huge fan of MGS series....4 is still better than 5 tho... its great fans for MGS!!
