Great fitness band, quick view of text and email is really nice. The ability to respond with voice or a crazy small but accurate keyboard just makes this little device as handy as can be.

I'd been watching for an activity tracking band that included GPS and didn't require being connected to a phone while exercising. The Microsoft Band met all of my requirements and more.

Tracks steps and sleep pretty accurately.Haven't done much else with it yet. Looks stylish and eliminates the need for both a watch and other fitness tracker that are worn separately.

Took it out of the box and had it up and running within 15 min. It checks your heart rate 24/7 also.

I have really enjoyed this watch! The functions are great. I only wish that it was waterproof, instead of resistant. The watch charges really fast and holds the charge for 2 days.

Can't wait to see what they do w/ the MS Band for Gen 2. Fitbit app may be better, but I actually liked the MS Band's functionality more...except for the fit. Fitbit still wins by a mile here. MS would have to slim this down a bit more for me to reconsider and do something about the hideous band.

I bought the Band figuring it would be a good fitness band and offer a few other bits of functionality, but to my surprise it offers a plethora of features, and I have a feeling I've really only scratched the surface. This thing is really more motivating for fitness than I expected. The band itself is a bit bulky, but I look forward to later versions.

My second venture into fitness bands my first being a Fitbit flex. It did the job but bored me quickly with the advancement in this technology. Since I have a windows phone to stay connected with my office I decided to go with the Microsoft Smartwatch to stay better connected while out on the trail. No need to drag my phone with me now, the MS smartwatch keeps me in touch via email and the Use of Cortana an electronic voice assistant I am truly satisfied with my purchase. Awesome other features included with the package so all I need is some sunblock, good tennies and the open trail.

Works as advertised, seems pretty accurate doing the step count. The other features work well with what I have been using the Iphone. I have a big wrist and have to take it off when using the computer. The band is easy enough to remove. The size is great, I didn't want a really big watch, and this fit the bill. I wish there was more app's but everything that is on it works great. I would recommend getting the protector as the watch does scratch get scratches.

The Microsoft Band is a perfect smart watch for those interested in keeping track of their health. I measures your heart rate among the other things it tracks. It also syncs perfectly with your cell phone so that you can receive text messages, emails, phone calls, weather etc right to your wrist! I love it!

Tried the fitbit, it was too flimsy and mine died after a few months. Then tried a Misfit Shine, it looked great, but didn't track accurately. I've had the band for 6 weeks now. I love it. The fit when you first put it on feels weird, it's very solid, but now I barely notice it. The microsoft health app tracks workouts, golf games, sleep, and there are features I haven't tried out yet. Definitely not a fashion statement, or cool looking like the Shine, but it works really well and does all that I need it to do.

After not wearing a watch for years, it took about three days to become accustomed to wearing the device. It's heavier than a typical watch. Device has a comprehensive set of sensors and provides a good array of data points that can be tracked. Web site that accompanies the band is a good start. A lot more could be done with the data, but that's a good opportunity for someone interested in the software development kit. No direct way to track nutrition. Data can be shared with a number of other online and phone apps. Power consumption varies depending on the features activated...similar to a smart phone. I find myself charging the band every two days.

When I saw this on a Best Buy Deal of the Day for $79.99, I looked at what it had for the options. I had thought about buying a FitBit but when I saw this for the price and the options it had, I thought I would give it a chance and found I really like the product. I like that it sends texts, phone call notifications and the sleep summary. Haven't tried the workout options yet.

I purchased this product less than 60 days ago and it worked excellent for about 25 days. Then the problems started. 1. Charger is very finicky on charging the band will appear to be in place and charging, then you walk away and come back and it's no longer charging - fidgit with it again and sometime it will actually continue to charge other times it just never does 2. Band shuts off randomly and then has a difficult time starting back up without shutting itself down again 3. Golf GPS which had been counting strokes very accurately now might only get 1 stroke per hole if that - becomes a manual counter at that point. 4. Seems to repeat notifications even after dismissed on the band until I remove them completely from the phone While all the functionality of this phone is amazing, and I love the concept the reality is the band just isn't working correctly. I will be sending it back for a replacement but I suspect a lot of these are problems inherent in the first generation of the band device which is very disappointing. The Golf GPS integration was great when it was working properly. It is slower than I would like/need in determining distances but seems to get better as the round goes on. It is accurate calculating steps and the workouts that can be downloaded to the watch have helped me getting back in shape. Lots to love here but when it doesn't keep working or stay stable it's hard to recommend to anyone.
