    Incredible Phone

I am coming from about 10 years in the Apple environment. I switched to Windows 10 because Apple computer hardware was simply not seeing sufficient upgrades to keep pace with the OS so I found most of the promised features just didn’t work or didn’t work consistently. I was so impressed with Windows 10 that I decided to trade in my iPhone 5S for this Windows 10 phone. I have not been disappointed. This phone is fast. I generally avoided web research or browsing in my iPhone because it was so slow. That’s not the case with this one. The web browser is incredibly fast. App switching is incredibly fast. Word and Excel are impressively fast. I also love the fact that I can expand memory with a micro sd card so I no longer have to carefully select what is on my phone and when it is there. With this expansion, I can carry everything I need without worrying about storage memory. This phone is a comfortable size while providing adequate screen space for real productivity. At first I was concerned about the plastic looking back but that no longer is a concern. I actually find the back easier to grip than my previous iPhone. I no longer feel like I’m holding on to a slippery phone. The camera is awesome. This phone takes the best pictures of any phone I've ever owned. When people see pictures I've taken and printed they are always asking for the brand of camera I used. They are surprised when they find out it's my phone's camera. I’ve not had any issues with bugs, reboots or frequent annoying updates. There have been updates but they have been quick and unobtrusive. This phone is like carrying a computer in your pocket. You will not regret this purchase.

This phone was an upgrade from a Lumia 640 which is a really good phone as well. Nice bright clear screen. great camera and snappy performance. Like the fact that it has a slot to expand memory with a micro SD card and that the battery is replaceable. The Windows Hello iris recognition is neat but the performance is a bit disappointing. One other issue I had was that the wifi would occasionally lose internet connection. That has been fixed with a recent OTA firmware update.

Finally picked up the 950 and have been really impressed with it's performance. I just used continuum feature wirelessly to my Roku stick and have been amazed how well it worked. Camera is hands down the sharpest most accurate color capture on a phone that I've seen yet. Windows 10 seamlessly make the experience fluid between devices. All I can say is if you are on the fence, try it and see how powerful this device is. The iris scan is easy to set up and works flawlessly. All that is needed is the support for the few apps missing and continuum to grow.

I started with the PALM CENTRO as my first smart phone until I switched to iPhone's (used 3G, 4S and 5S). With the wonderful development of WINDOWS OS and family (I have been using Surface Pro for two years, now on the SP4), I was intrigued about a WINDOWS PHONE. I wanted it and was awaiting its release when I became impatient and actually got a 6s PLUS but had to return it (carrier coverage issue) and was very happy to do so. The 6s PLUS iPhone was big. Everyone who has one when asked what they liked about it... basically it was the size. I picked LUMIA 950 up the day it was released. I love the LUMIA 950 for many reasons (sharp screen, camera resolution, live tiles, ease of customizing the start screen, text message integration with my Bluetooth earbuds and automobile, ease to create a mobile hot spot, MS office, OneDrive, phone size and light weight). There are feature that make it uniquely superior to iPhone. Overall it is an impressive phone. Many of the apps I knew and loved are in the WINDOWS STORE. I love how the LUMIA 950 integrates with my SURFACE. With all this said I debated returning the phone because of a few key absences in the app area and some website restrictions which limit functionality with MICROSOFT EDGE browser. EDGE is actually quite nice but on LUMIA 950, I have not found any alternate browsers to use. I decided to keep the phone because it is a spectacular and impressive flagship smart phone. I like what Microsoft is doing. In two years I have seen the WINDOWS Store explode with development as I used it for my SURFACE. I know that will continue for WINDOWS PHONE.

I refuse to buy apple products and this phone syncs with my computer seamlessly. I enjoy the camera and calendar. It's not as amazing as my Nokia was but I am certainly happy with the purchase.

    Excellent Evolution of Windows Phone!

Coming from an iPhone 6 Plus, I was really attracted to the phone because of the camera and the battery life. Firstly, the camera is absolutely amazing! It also makes gifs and "live photos" that do send to an iOS recipient as if they were coming from an iOS phone. The camera blows away anything on the smart phone competition. The battery life is great. The operating system really shines, it moves fast! The WP10 OS is strong and capable and reliable...and it is finally paired with excellent hardware. The MS Office apps are wonderful and on par with the office 365 I used on iOS (6 Plus). The app market is shy of maybe one app I use, but many are rolling in from App Store and Google Play! The quality of the apps has improved from being basically a mobile site redirect that we were used to in WP 7,8,8.1. The phones build is kind of stand apart from most phones today being that it is not metal. This is not bad because it still feels solid and premium. The screen is perfect! The back and battery are removable and the phone is light, so it works. The screen size is absolutely perfect with my fingers and hands. I have large fingers and I can use the 5.2" screen with easy one and two handed on portrait, and just as well in landscape. The best part is the new file system, easy file transfer, and integration of your personal media. There is not extra step like loading to an app through iTunes, simply put in your micro SD card and it's found and works. Absolute excellent Phone!!! Service is much stronger in areas over the past iPhone I used. I loved the iPhone 6 Plus, I love this more... Oh and wireless charging!!!! I have not yet used Continium.

I not only read the BB reviews, I read Amazon and ATT as well. I was coming from an old original windows phone and had begun looking into a new windows phone in October....when I caught wind of the 950 being released the end of the year. This phone was well worth the wait! Microsoft did their homework and this phone is amazing. Initially I did not think that I would like the ability to 'share' items between my computer and the phone, but one drive works for me to do that with such items as my music and pics....and I am enjoying that feature. This phone is the cell worlds best kept secret....

More than a smartphone is a real computer and as micro-computer is a term already used for different devices I'll call this one a nano-computer

Being Microsofts last Lumia, it was by far the best one. Unfortunately, the OS was very unstable which forced me to eventually switch back to iPhone.

I purchased a Surface which I love and thought I would get the 950 so everything would sync easily. I'm not thrilled with the phone. I have had to factory reset it 2 times. It tends to freeze up and I already have a crack in the screen. I have owned Blackberry's , I Phones & Galaxy's and have never had a crack. I even purchased the case and a $35 screen protector (which I thought was expensive) and within a month screen is cracked. I will think again on my next purchase but stuck with this for awhile.

this would be a great phone if Microsoft would take mobile seriously and keep up right up to date with PC although I know developers are also holding windows mobile back. still I love my phone and I love how more apps are being universal plus it has office seemlessly

I am a Microsoft user and people don't even realize how beneficial it is to have a windows phone - my phone works with my laptop and when I am working on my laptop it notifies me when I get messages on my phone! It is way cooler than people realize - terribly underrated.

Generous two stars. This phone was a disappointment from the beginning. too buggy, I'm a windows fan but this is a big set back. windows needs to keep updating this phone religiously. it has soo much potential. I would of returned it the first week but was hopeful. It improved a bit after the latest update. I still have hope. Hopefully in a few months all the bugs get fixed and it takes the phone market by storm. Until then two stars is all it gets from me.

So far this phone is amazing and blows my old Nexus 5 out of the water, the app gap is minimal and new apps are being added daily so I don't expect the to be an issue for people especially now that the new Universal windows apps are getting released. The OS is kind of buggy but that's to be expected with a new OS and there is a big update coming out in December. And the Iris is still in Beta but works pretty well and makes the phone feel kind of futuristic compared to finger scanners. The phone is well built and feels very solid and you don't have to worry about the back breaking like you do with those new so called "premium phones" like the iPhone 6\Galaxy s6 with their glass backs.

I've been a windows phone user since windows phone 7, the evolution of the windows phone is amazing. I got this phone and I was extremely happy with the weight of it , not too light nor too heavy. Apps load extremely fast , the camera is fantastic, I did a 4k video to show a friend what it would look like on his tv. I ordered the Microsoft Phone dock from Microsoft store and cant wait till that arrives. I like Microsoft Hello , the iris scanning works great even with my glasses on. So far my only complaint would be best buy not having zagg shields for the phone or many other accessories.

Microsoft has released a premium device that's very powerful. Don't let the polycarbonate fool you, this phone is so light in the hand you will think its a dummy phone. Screen has twice the PPI of the iPhone and is superfast, micro SD up to 2 Tb, removable battery, iris scanning(still in beta) and basically a pc in your pocket and it looks great on my 106" hi def projector. If you buy this phone do not enable windows hello its not ready, at least for me and go to store and update all apps.
