    The play and charge kit consists of a rechargeable battery and an 8 ft USB cable. The battery fits nicely in an XBOX (Elite) controller and the cable is more than long enough to sit at a comfortable distance from the XBOX ONE. Connections are snug and secure. A nice touch is the "charging" light. at the controller connection. When the battery is charging the light is orange. When the battery is fully charged, the light is white. I connect the cable full time and have had no problems so far. The reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because its shelf life is unknown. Some of the batteries (and/or cables) have a long shelf life; some do not. Even so I have found this product much better than 3rd party attempts.

    Like that the charging cord is about 9 feet I think. Stretches from the system to the couch just fine. Good battery life. Lasts about a week.

    Favorite feature is that not only does it keep continous power to your controller but the power cord is very long. Good buy!

    My last one worked since I got my Xbox One the day they came out. The micro USC cable was starting to become troublesome with disconnecting, but still functioned. 6-7 years out of a micro USB cable is incredibly impressive. The battery still held a good charge after all that time as well. Well worth the purchase.
