    Regular batteries die very quickly in the controller especially if you do not want to keep turning the controller off if watching Netflix or Hulu. Highly recommend these rechargeables as it saves money and headaches from batteries. The cord that comes along the controller is very long and reaches from my console to my couch which is a fair distance away.

    So I bought a pack of the non-microsoft brand, knock-off play and charge kit and in hindsight that was a waste of money. The cord and batteries on those lasted maybe 6 months or less, and never felt like they fit correctly. So far, the name-brand is the most impressive in build quality and product lifespan, and works great.

    My controller would be near death but luckily with my charge n play i dont have to worry about it dying. Always thought it was an awesome invention. Only thing i have with it is when i plug it in it affects my mic but only for a second.
