Absolutely wonderful!! I was in search of a new laptop that's lightweight, advanced and capable of handling spreadsheets and websites. Long battery life and touch screen are bonuses that have come in useful for me =o)

Returned my two week old HP pavilion i5 256 gb with b/o audio. It was the best laptop I thought existed. If it tells you anything at all. I downgraded in memory. Amd purchased an external hard disk drive for memory. And with the frew 15 months of Microsoft office 365 It includes Microsoft one drive cloud storage of 1 TB per person, up to 6 people on your account receiving 1 TB EACH. It even includes Skype. I just changed everything from Playstation 5, to my girlfriend's laptop. And even started to change my phone's from note20/note9 to the Microsoft duo. Which gets android market place & Microsoft app store. This laptop even feels just picking it up & typing o keyboard. That it is higher in quality, Its truthfully the best in quality ive witnessed in a laptop

I purchased this laptop for my 16 year old high school junior. So far he is very happy with all the functions this computer has to offer. The touch screen is one of his favorite. My 7 year old has used it fir her virtual class and she really likes it too. I will be purchasing a second one soon.

I was positively thrilled when my Microsoft surface pro laptop first arrived, it was love at first sight! It's small and sleek design makes it ideal for remote workers on the go and the quality for price was unmatched. I have found the device incredibly user-friendly and it had exceeded my expectations up until today. After exactly one month of careful use I have begun to experience random screen glitching while I'm typing or in the midst of a virtual meeting that completely distort the screen. Unfortunately I was unable to afford the additional coverage after warranty via geek squad and apparently last week forfeited my eligibility of returning this product.

We're sorry that there's an issue with your Surface. First, we recommend updating its software and firmware to the most recent version. If that doesn't help, please run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit to diagnose and fix any problems. For more information on the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, please go here: https://aka.ms/AA4r432 If that doesn't take care of the problem, we recommend that you contact Microsoft Support for assistance here: https://aka.ms/AA4rbq6 Microsoft

I was skeptical about buying this laptop. I have never owned a microsoft laptop or heard or anybody having one. Well i am pleasantly happy with my purchase! This is a great laptop for students or someone who just wants a good, realible, fast laptop. The build quality is good and the keyboard is so quiet and easy to type on, I love it! I thought it was weird that it didn’t have any speaker grills (the sound comes out the keyboard) its very loud and clear, perfect for music or watching shows on netflix. The screen is also pretty bright and vivid in color. Love this little laptop!!

I bought this for my elderly Mom, who needed a laptop that was lightweight and small but still had a decent keyboard and display, didn't get too hot and had acceptable performance when doing basic browsing and email. This little laptop checks all those boxes, and the price was definitely a plus. With limited RAM, storage and good, but low end, processor and graphics, this laptop is not a good choice for heavy gaming or intensive document/photo processing but it is a great little machine for basic tasks. My Mom loves it and uses it for several hours a day to watch Great Courses classes, read email and shop. It also loads smaller Word and Excel docs without struggling or overheating, and the battery lasts pretty much all day. With Cloud storage, the lack of internal storage isn't going to be a problem for her. I'm considering getting one of these for travel, but probably would opt for a model with more RAM. The size and weight make this very attractive for trips when all you need is something for email, surfing and Word/Excel. It does have a USB-C port so you could get an adapter to use an SD card if Cloud storage access isn't reliable. I do wish Microsoft would scuttle that proprietary adapter but oh well - every rose hase at least one thorn.

A number of folks have expressed concerns over the low amount of ram and eMMC storage. These are perfectly valid concerns, but you're kinda missing the point as well. This is intended to be a basic computer that nails user experience, and honestly it does that perfectly. For instance, my grandparents would love this machine. It doesn't have more than they need and it's infinitely better than what they have. Sure, for most people it would probably be wise to invest in something with a bit more ram, maybe upgradable storage, maybe a nicer processor. But for the right person, this is plenty. If anything, it encourages your loved ones to back up their important photos and documents in the cloud or a dedicated drive because of the, well, slow and limited storage. Again, for the right person who just wants a laptop that feels great to use for some basic office work, this is great. The cooling is surprisingly good and it's gonna chew through whatever excel documents you throw at it for certain. Screen is awesome, trackpad is smooth, keyboard is responsive.

I bought this for my son to use for college as he really needed it. It still works great and the battery really lasts a long time. Very simple and easy to use,it's also very light. The outer finish is also great and good feel, the processor is also very fast and the wifi connection is also on par. The display is also great no dead pixels as of this writing,I do suggest getting this laptop as it rocks for college students of just work.

PLEASE READ - a few things to know before buying: The laptop specs are great - very good processor for a laptop of this size. Note the base level of hard drive 64 GB does not have a whole lot of space beyond what is taken up by operating system - not a problem unless you plan to store a lot on the machine. The screen size is as advertised, but has an aspect ratio closer to 3:2 (26.3mm by 17.5mm) vs more modern 16:9 or the old 4:3 - basically it is somewhere between the two - not a problem, just be aware. Getting windows fully updated (a good thing to do before personalizing) took a very long time - like two hours. In my opinion removing S Mode is a MUST - if not, buy a much cheaper chromebook as you are wasting this laptops capabilities. However doing so rendered the speaker inoperable. It was easily fixable by manually updating the driver after the onboard diagnostics could not fix it. Lastly and perhaps most importantly - the magnetic charging cable is a very poor design. It connects and disconnects from power frequently often requiring a full reset of the charger by unplugging from the wall for several minutes before reattaching. I am having a replacement charger sent which I hope is better, but even if so, it is very very easy to dislodge the magnet coupler if you are charging while using on your lap (it is of course a laptop). The great news is you can safely (even per Microsoft) charge the unit with a USB-C charger as long as it is 39 watts or higher (I recommend 45 or 65). In testing this charge is trouble free and faster. USB-C will be my standard charger and the silly magnet charger will be for occasional (if ever) usage. If not for the unadvertised USB-C charging capability, I would have returned this laptop after just one frustrating day of use.

Okay, to start, I’m not a tech person. I needed a computer for my business that I’m starting up. This has the S Mode, which means I couldn’t do Zoom. To be fair, I didn’t read all the details before purchasing. However, this is a good laptop. It’s fast and light. I didn’t want something that was huge and heavy like other laptops. I’m a little behind all the tech advances, yet I was able to understand and work this device. Plus, it’s touchscreen. My only complaint is that I wish it had two USB ports. Other than that, this would be good for a kid in school or someone who just needs a simple, inexpensive computer.

This laptop is perfect. It replaced larger, heavier models. I took this one on a trip, and I did not feel compromised by its smaller size - and I enjoyed its lighter weight. It has proven to be fast on the internet and an excellent tool in all regards (although I do not game). It has a crisp display and the battery had a sufficiently long life.
