The Surface Pro 2 is a mighty machine disguised in a tablet like casing. It is as capable as any laptop, yet portable as a tablet. It comes with Windows 8 and many everyday applications right at your fingertips. I wouldn't trade it for any other product on the market today!

This is an awesome device. Very handy and easy to use. Doesn't replace a PC but good for travel and business meetings outside of office.

Overall the computer feels heavier than expected. Like the ease and the vividness screen. Once you become use to Windows 8.1, it's a good computer. Great for everyday use. This was purchased for my spouse with limited computer skills.

I enjoy the layout and the option to split the screen. It took a little while to adjust to not having a start button, but the apps layout is great. I have had it for 2 months now and loving the ease of use.

I would recommend this product to any business person that travels. It is fantastic and super compact. I have used a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for the past two years utilizing a VNC to connect to my desktop. This product by far surpasses the usability and is great.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a functional mainstream computer. That is a lot to say when you know how poor earlier versions of Windows tablets were. The great things are great - the lousy things are pretty lousy. On balance I find it an acceptable business tool. I have made this my primary computer for business, and I am pretty glad, but I get aggravated at the buggy interface for mouse and for large screen use. I also get aggravated that Microsoft has seen fit to throw out my 20 years of experience on Windows and Office by radically changing every menu and control. Another niggling complaint is the way the touch features jump around - there should be some way to set the sensitivity so that menus are not jumping out and disappearing so much.
A major negative is the lack of ports, especially the missing Ethernet and the missing HDMI ports. Another big missing feature for me is the lack of a cellular data radio. With this thing it is WIFI or nothing. I give it a B- rating.

This product turned out to work better than I expected. It is convenient, powerful and portable and allows me to do every thing I use to do on my laptop. Although I am learning t use the Windows 8 interface I am liking it.

I have had this about a month and I really enjoy it. I am still getting used to Windows 8 - but so far I have found it easy to load apps and software. I have been able to uninstall APPS I don't want.
Overall - so much easier to use and transport than my laptop

There is nothing not to like about the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Not much of a learning curve required to get it setup and running. Boots up faster than any of the laptops that I have had before. I have been using MS Office 365 and it does all programs just like a desktop PC. Loaded Quicken over the internet and it also runs like on a PC. I bought the Surface Type Cover 2 and the MS Bluetooth Wedge Mouse to complete the laptop PC experience. Connects to the internet easily and quickly via both Wi-Fi and Hot Spot. I would recommend this to any one who is looking to buy a new laptop PC.

My first 'real' computer purchase, rather than just whatever I could afford (still have blackberry type phone and this was my first 'tablet' also). A bit more than what I wanted to spend, but it had everything I needed. Purchased Surface Pro July 2013, it went out on me Dec 2013, but I had Best Buy extended warranty, so they allowed me to trade it for this Pro 2, which recently came out and I wanted due to supposedly improved battery life. While it's a little better, still not enough for me as I use my computer all day long on some days as a writer, so I need to keep it plugged in often or after a few hours of use. I purchased the Microsoft type 2 cover which is ok. When I'm using as a laptop sitting up in bed, struggle to keep it stable while typing. I type fast and sometimes still accidentally delete lots of text when I didn't mean to. Most of the time it's coverable, but I have lost some so now safe often. I do love it, but couldn't give it a perfect score.

A great laptop substitute for travel. A bit expensive and a little heavy but plenty of power. Comes with 200 gig on sky drive.

Although the price is high but it was worth it since I could use it for everything. From regular office work to entertainment to kid friendly apps. I had thought about an Ipad but can't see much office use out of it beside from the gaming apps and other entertainment apps. I love to be able to use Light Room with this and edit my photos on the go. To me this is not heavy at all. I actually like the feel of it. Just wish there were more accessories for this device.
The sound quality of this device is so so... And resolution wise could be up a bit more.
Microsoft really improved themselves.. But would be nice to lower the cost down to make it even better competitor against other tablets.

Overall a very good system, my only issue is regarding startup of several apps. Many require 2 attempts to start the app before they'll continue running, which is only a mild annoyance. Otherwise system is great, unit startup is quick, switching programs quick, has been great for traveling.

I love this tablet, it's a cross between a tablet and laptop. It's powerful and portable. I do everything on it that I use to do on my desktop. I did not buy it to replace my desktop but it has. I used to use my desktop everyday but now I hardly ever use my desktop at all.

Great for business and personal use. Installed full MS Office 2013, Quickbooks, and Quicken. It's faster than my 3 year old desktop and easy to carry. Battery life is decent, but could be a little better. Can't complain, since it's an Intel i5 chip.

Purchased to replace full size laptop for work while traveling. Size makes it easy to use on the plane and capabilities allow me to do everything I need in the motel or at the jobsite.
