I needed something light weight for travel purposes. This unit is great. The entry level processor and SSD combination is plenty quick enough for routine tasks, and the keyboard in this package has an excellent feel. The biggest knock on the Surface Pro is that it is pricey and the keyboard is extra, but the Black Friday special makes this combo a good value.

Excellent for the price, in fact a steal for the price. A little bit slow but not much of a problem. The APPs store has much less APPs than Google play and the Apple store. I wish there is a way around it. Please somebody tell me if there is.... Keyboard is smooth. battery lasts long enough, screen is great....well I have only had it for a couple of days. I hope it remains so.

Had read reviews and seen in store but questioned Microsoft's claim that it could replace your tablet and laptop. I was particularly concerned that it would not work well as a LAP top. However after repeated use I am delighted. It is light, fast, battery life is decent, and the keyboard backlight is great. Highly recommended.

A PC in tablet form....i like this so much more than an android / ipad because there are no website compatibility issues, i can do real work on this thing and interact with software in their native forms. If you are looking for a tablet to play angry birds or to occupy the little kiddies then this is not it. Using the surface pro for media is awesome like streaming movies; kindle reader is beautiful on it, and the pen for note taking or sketching is a pleseant experience. There is support for photshop that im going to be trying very soon as well. I have the intel M processor and it hasnt shown any lag or slow down. My only concern though is how would i recover the system if it suffered any of the typical Windows OS crashes?

Bigger screen, faster, and better keyboard than the Surface Pro 3, the 4 is a great update. Warning: the resolution on the 4 is really high, so certain applications that do not scale up, will look incredibly small, you would have to downsize the resolution for those particular instances.

I love the size of the screen and the lightweight feel. Keyboard is great. I don't need to carry a laptop and a tablet anymore!

Overall this is an excellent laptop with great portability, beautiful screen and decent speed. There are a couple of things should be improved. 4GB memory is okay with a couple of programs open. MS charges too much for 8GB Ram upgrade (costs a couple of hundred more). The other issue is battery life. It only gets about 3 hours of use in dim light setting..

I bought this Surface Pro 4 bundle during the Pre Black Friday sale for $599. This product comes with signature type cover (silver). Surface pen is not included, but you can get $20 discount if you buy with Surface Pro 4 on a same receipt. The screen resolution is really stunning with brightness and sharpness. This is a fanless version with m3 processed. Performance is slower compare to i5 and i7, but this tablet/laptop can handle light computing such as surfing the net, email, and video streaming. It can also handle light photo editing. I'm very satisfied with purchase as this was a great deal.

Since purchasing my first Surface Pro 3 a couple of years ago, I've purchased several more (...Pro 4s) as gifts for my wife, son and daughter. Best Buy's phenomenal "Black Friday" sales over the past couple of years make it extremely difficult for me to pass up thier amazing deals on this particular product. Especially for a device that's both a laptop and a tablet; has both flash drive and SD slots; a battery that lasts 6-7 hours on average, and serves as a perfect travel companion as it's super compact, can easily handle both my "work" related needs and personal wants, e.g. watching movies I've downloaded on the SD.

The Surface Pro 4 has exceeded all of my expectations. Having had consistently good experience with previous iterations of Microsoft hardware (my original Surface 1 RT still works), I opted to purchase this to replace my Toshiba work laptop which crashed on me. I have been blown away by the quality and performance of this platform. The screen is gorgeous, the type-pad provides extremely satisfying tactile response, and the I love the interactivity with the Surface Pen. This has changed the way I use computers, and I don't think I can go back to a traditional laptop ever again.

I purchased this for $599.99 It was the pre Black Friday bundle sale. Includes the M3 processor which is great and doesn't matter with VM ware installed on machine. This will not slow up performance. It came with the keyboard and also a $20.00 off coupon to purchase the pen. Great product glad I choose this over the expensive MacBook.

This laptop/tablet has been great! It meets my needs when I'm hanging at the beach with my bros and taking a break from catching some awesome waves. The surface is great for anyone looking for a travel size tablet with the power of a laptop.

Needed new laptop and found tablet too small for entertainment viewing. Had stopped in best buy few weeks before thanksgiving, Microsoft rep. went over pros to Surface 4. Awake at 1am black Friday, found this on sale..$400 off, discount on pen, decided to order both. Very easy setup. Use mostly for web, emails, & TV streaming. Only issue I have found was not being able to download Amazon videos for offline viewing, The included keyboard is very comfortable to use and easy to attach, nice it was included in bundle. Very happy with this purchase

We picked this up before the Black Friday madness for $600. For the price of an iPad we got the tablet, keyboard case, and pencil. It is awesome because you do not feel limited like you do with an iPad. You have an entire computer right there at your fingertips that is extremely portable. You can take notes on it with the pencil, or use the keyboard like its a regular computer. For the price we paid we felt like it was an excellent deal.

Great for taking notes! I use this almost every day to take notes during class or at seminars and with the use of the pen, it works very well. The only downside is the small amount of RAM and the m3 processor. They work well and aren't battery hungry like the more powerfull processors, however if you have a lot of applications pulled up,you can see a decrease in the devices overall speed. Another thing to note is that a Microsoft Pen is must for this device, so since it isn't included, go ahead and order one when you purchase.

Purchased my first Surface (3) last year (2015) around "Black Friday" at Best Buy. The bundle package was something I just could'nt walk away from - for an item that I'd been considering for quite a while. One of the best purchases I've ever made i.e. cost wise and otherwise! It's actually a laptop - tablet - personal/portable/compact "entertainment center" all in one! At the time of the purchase, none of the other (tablet) options out there had a USB and an SD slot (which I store my Videos/Movies on). I thought it was great just to have the USB function but BOTH a USB and SD... Wow! Perhaps on a laptop - but on a tablet? Virtually unheard of at the time - still perhaps? In fact, earlier that same day, I'd already purchased an iPad from a nearby Apple Store - which was still in the trunk of my car. After the Best Buy associate explained all of the features of the Surface - it was a "no brainer" for me. I purchased the Surface bundle on the spot and immediately returned the iPad for a refund. And doing so only highlighted the fact that the iPad cost significantly exceeded what I'd paid for my Surface and a keyboard combined. The following June another Best Buy sale presented an opportunity for me to purchase yet another Surface 3 for my son as a college graduation gift. This year's Best Buy Pre "Black Friday" sale has brought the "Surface Experience" full circle for my family. That is, the new & improved Surface 4 bundle package was so phenomenial, I purchased two. One for my wife and the other for my daughter as Christmas presents.

Huge improvement over the Surface RT. The Surface Pro 4 is much faster and more responsive and less laggy. In comparing the RT, the Pro 4 offers more desktop features and it functions more like a true laptop. Although it runs an M3 chipset, I still think it runs very well, if not similar to the i3 chipset. The bonus Alcantra keyboard is a huge plus. Definitely love the look and feel of this keyboard over the other surface keyboards. Bottom line, I'm very happy and I would highly recommend.

I have used this MS surface tablet for about a month now. Compared to a regular laptop, this is considerably more portable - which greatly increases it usability. The touchscreen is extremely responsive and does not get dirty easily. The device is blazing fast for almost all my needs - which include browsing, creating documents, basic programming, and the occasional browser-based video game. I would recommend purchasing the add-on keyboard cover. Overall, a great purchase!

The Surface Pro 4 tablet has a solid, well built feel but, it also feels heavy. It has a nice, sharp looking display which could be a little more sensitive to touch. Performance with the m3 processor, though acceptable, is marred by occasional lagging in response. The rear camera is very good, videos look sharp and clear even in relatively low light conditions. The design of the support is simple and straightforward but offers limited choices and makes the lap use somewhat uncomfortable. The included, backlit keyboard is light and works well and the way it snaps firmly in place, through magnetic attachment to the tablet, is impressive.
