Aside from the obvious deck flex due to being raised up, the keyboard feels almost just like the Surface laptop keyboard which i would argue has one of the best typing experiences on laptops nowadays. The pen is okay for what its there for but it just feels cheap. Hit the tip against something, or even just tap it quickly on the tablet, and the spring and haptic motor send a cheap vibration through the whole device immitating that of one of those old school mechanical pencils where you twist the tip to get the led out. It really does feel like its just waiting for me to snap it. Compairing the pen to the apple pencil, as everyone always makes sure to do, the apple pencil has so much more of a refined style and build quality that it wins in most comparisons. I will say, I'm a huge fan of the haptic motor but there still aren't too many windows apps that work alongside it. Even onenote still doesn’t activate the vibration control so I've had to settle for Microsoft Journal which is still good but not nearly as customizable as onenote. All in all, fantastic keyboard, pen is okay. -LD

The pen really helps keep the finger prints off of the screen, and also helps me write when I don't have room for the keyboard. But the key board is really comfortable and has a great key touch and positive feel. I was using it on a train last night on my way back from a business trip and it just works, and works well. I can't say enough good things about this key board. I like the Razor keyboards because of their sound and feel. And I like this one because it is so silent, and also feels good.

I have used the Surface since the first model. I just got the Surface Pro 8. I was disappointed to have to buy a new keyboard and this one works as well as the previous model. I really like having the pen slot and the new slim pen is an improvement over the old pen.

Love the surface keyboard, especially with the new integrated pen storage. Big upgrade from the previous model.

When you buy a new Surface pro 8 you need a new key board and pen. So this Micro Soft new pen and key board is just as great as the older ones. This is my third Surface Pro product over the years they all are great products and are all still working great.

The Surface Pro 9 is lightweight and easy to use and love the detachable keyboard!

I love the new keyboard and the storage for the pen is brilliant. It took a little while for me to learn how to adjust the brightness for the backlighting of the keyboard but it is great.

Worth every dollar it's even better than having on screen

A decent improvement over last model's version. The slot for the pen solves a major problem with my previous surface, though I sometimes forget that the pen is even there.

Overpriced like all of Microsoft's branded products, but it works and you don't have to charge it like a Bluetooth keyboard.

The pen works great for taking notes, compared to the previous non rechargeable pen it is longer lasting. I love how the tip is fully replaceable. The keyboard is a bit small for me, however I do enjoy the sound of typing on it. I am glad I got this one before the windows key is replaced with the Copilot. key

This keyboard is an improvement because of the ability to carry the surface pen around with you and not have to worry about it falling out. The thing that this keyboard is lacking for me is the sturdiness.. It's somewhat sturdy but it's a thin piece of plastic and since it sits at an angle, because i am a fast typer, i feel like i am going to break the keyboard or i am going to press down on it too hard.. It has a little bit of a bend when that happens.. Now I can lay this flat down and not tilt it up, and that makes it feel a bit more sturdy. I would like to see additional keyboard types for this that connects to it and uses the power of the surface pro itself rather than a bluetooth keyboard or something of that nature. Overall, it's a good keyboard, and protects the screen when it's closed. It also has a trackpad on it for the mouse, Overall, it's a good purchase.

The surface keyboard functions as intended. It’s feels really nice. It’s a pleasure to type with. The trackpad can be a touch bigger even though it already is compared to previous model, but a bit more would be nice. That would however sacrifice palm rest space. And I rather have that tbh. The slim pen 2 feels good in the hand, which I really wasn’t expecting. The amount of functionality the pen has great. They both work really well with the surface pro 8. I cant say anything bad about it. If there is one thing I would say, the price, but they will begin going on sale next month I’m sure because of the holidays, assuming you can find them in stock.

The keyboard and pen work great. The fact that the pen recharges is an improvement over the pens that came with the older Surface Pros that require AAAA batteries.

High quality, works great, folds with pencil under the screen when typing if preferred.
