Customers regard Windows 10 Home as an easy-to-use and high-performing operating system, frequently praising its straightforward installation and compatibility. Positive feedback also highlights the user-friendly interface and a range of beneficial features. However, some users expressed concerns about mandatory updates and privacy settings. A small number of users reported issues with hard drive failures, though this was not a widespread concern.

The windows 10 operating system is awesome! It's extremely fast, very efficient, great for organizing your files and programs. Cortana is a great feature as well as the clean sleek look it has. Everyone that bashes this OS has out dated hardware and should focus on upgrading.

Windows 10 is a better operating system than Windows 8 was. It is a bit easier to use and more intuitive than Windows 8 was. There should be no fear in upgrading to this operating system, such as you have hear since the release of Windows 8. There are changes, there are differences, but with everything there is an ability to tweak and change it to the way you are comfortable with to a degree. Windows 10 was easy to setup, I had no trouble finding drivers for my new computer build. I turned off Cortana, but otherwise Windows 10 is pretty much as it was meant to be. There is a lot of help all around the web in how to install or upgrade to this operating system, plus Microsoft has some help on their website.

Had a laptop that a previous college provided; needed to load a personal OS as theirs was still under their admin control (wish I would have known that before I bought it). Windows is not cheap, but at least it was easy to use, it went pretty fast, and I was able to use it to do some repairs on another laptop.

I recently built my first ever pc and really didn't understand the first thing about running around the motherboard os, but I did know I needed a Windows OS so I grabbed this item from Best Buy. It was neat to see they packaged the whole installation within a USB that my computer automatically located and began to run as she booted up (her name is Navi, btw) There's a lot of restarting and waiting involved with installations, but it was good to know I, with limited knowledge, could install from start to finish without much hassle. If you are building for the first time or just want to install a new OS, you can do it all with this guy and retain your old files to boot. Good purchase.

In my opinion, Microsoft has exceeded everything from the older windows. Ease of access, runs smooth integrates well with other windows devices, beautiful OS. I really have nothing bad to say about it!

Windows 10 is honestly great in many ways: runs smooth, start menu is comforting for historical Windows users, looks and feels fine and amazingly compatible with older things, mostly working drivers at this point. But it's hard to ignore the privacy concerns of the difficult/impossible to disable automatic communications about your activity and the need (it's not really as optional as they pretend) to create a Windows account. Just feels like you have to give up these days as a Windows user - you will do as your told and like it.

This is not a bad operating system, despite a lot of negative reviews out there. There ARE several things that you need to get used to, the same with ANY new operating system. One thing that I do NOT like is the fact that you HAVE to update when THEY decide, and WHAT they decide. Anyone who has ever accidentally installed a driver update from Microsoft should already be aware of one of the issues I am referring to. Some of the driver updates through Microsoft are NOT compatible with the hardware you are using, which will cause your system to crash. I have not had this problem yet (knock on wood), but it is something that lurks in the back of my mind.... I do not like the fact that you do not have as much control over ending or disabling background processes that you do not need to be using. This causes you to be using up a lot of unnecessary resources that could be used for something else. I personally find that this operating system is a bit of a resource hog. I don't see the need to be using over 2 gigs of RAM just running the operating system and nothing else.... One thing I DO like is if you happen to lose the power, when you are able to start your computer again, it will still have everything the way that you left it (I recently had that happen to me while they decided to work on our power lines for two hours with no notice). The operating system so far seems to be rather intuitive, and snappy in response time. So far it works with all the programs I was using on my old system without so much as a hiccup. I love the fact they brought the desktop back, and yet still give you the ability to use the tiles. This is familiar ground for me since it is very similar to the Windows phone that I use all the time. Windows 8 made things difficult to understand in my opinion - especially for people who are used to having a desktop view....this solves that issue. WinXP was a great Operating System, Windows 7 was very good as well. Vista was a mistake, and Windows 8 was a headache. We all know that Microsoft keeps coming out with new Operating Systems, and phase out the old ones by no longer offering support for them. This is the newest in a long line of them, and I chose to wait till they got most of the bugs out. I am sure that I will run into one problem or another down the line - but for now I do not regret this purchase. I suggest that if you are looking at purchasing this Operating System that you do your research. Weigh the pros and cons of it...then make your decision. I also highly suggest purchasing the full retail version, instead of the slightly cheaper one. The reason for this is the single use key is tied to the hardware in your system. If you ever need to replace a component (such as your motherboard), then you will have to buy a single use key AGAIN....better to just pay out the few extra dollars now for the ability to be able to reinstall your OS when ever you need to.

After getting out of the package and plugging it into the USB port it walked me through the process. If you liked windows 7 but did not like Windows 8.1 or found it lacking, you will like/love Windows 10. With the return of the start button and other features you will fall back in love with windows.

Well I am sure everyone has heard about windows 10 by now but the installation media is something new. The flash drive install makes this a more reasonable solution for all devices as it allows installation without an external drive on tablets, thin laptops and other devices with no optical drive.

Very simple upgrade package that lead you through the upgrade process. Understand, upgrades from recent versions of Windows will be simpler than say upgrades from Windows Vista, the latter requiring a clean installation. So backing up all data beforehand is a good idea

I brought this for a PC at my church to have two different machines while running the service from behind the scenes. I'm already familiar with Windows 10 and this does exactly what I needed it to do. Nothing to special. But I do like it a lot better than Windows 8

In some ways Windows 10 is better than its predecessors, but there are many privacy concerns in which Microsoft takes allot of information without your consent. Stick with Windows 8 until you have to upgrade.

Overall, Windows 10 is a gem. Since it's release, trolls and ignorance have given this version a bad rap. What can easily be construed as spyware are options that can be disabled during the initial installation. That said some of them have a purpose. Since Windows 10 is now updated periodicaly instead of having to buy the latest version every few years, providing feedback is viable for Microsoft to provide the best product possible. Some bugs I've found include, software & driver incompatibility, the recent security update disabled my keyboard but restarting the computer fixed it and The Solitaire Collection becomes laggy over time then requires restarting the program which takes less than two seconds. There are things I would change and all I have to do is wait for an update. Windows 10 was only released six months ago and so far this is the best of Windows 7 & 8.

It was easy to install. I only gave 4 stars because you could only use on two computers and we have three. I don't understand why I should have to pay over 100 dollars and purchase another one to have on all my home computers.

If you have Windows 7, upgrading isn't a must, otherwise go ahead and get this. So much cleaner and faster than previous versions. Soon you'll be able to stream Xbox One games to Windows 10 as well.

I just had the help in building my first rig and only went with the finest. While I could have went with something much cheaper I figured if I was going to go all out might as well do it correctly and I’m really happy with the outcome!
