I used to own an xbox 360, so when I purchased my xbox one recently, I knew I had to get xbox live because I assumed nothing would really work without it (before you couldn't even access netflix without xbox live gold). I was so surprised by how much things have changed!! The best part about the Xbox live membership is the free games every month! The value of the games alone is more than the price of the membership. Very happy with this purchase!

I purchased four of these when they were on sale and it turned out to be the same cost as it would have been if I had bought a one year card. Good deal nonetheless. Great way to play with friends especially if you live far away from them. No more going to your friends house. Now you just meet in the party chat. Also, you can browse the Microsoft store and find deals only available to Xbox live gold members

Of coarse if you have an XBOX then this is a must have. To have the ability to play with friends, or to play online you have to have this. The 12 month is the best value but they do sell 3 month memberships at a lower price.
